DX is a complete joke-- Is anyone else as sick of them as I am?

I agree with everything you said. DX is a complete friggin' Joke, and it's a disgrace they brought it back, especially now in the 'PG Era.' I mean, I kinda marked out when they returned in 2006, and ending them in 2007 was good. But since they brought it back again, I've even lost more interest in watching RAW each week. I sometimes switch channels to MNF when DX are on my TV; Especially with their stupid idiotic Kiddie promos with Swoggle. Whose also a disgrace. If they even win the titles at Tables Ladders and Chairs = Biggest FAIL of Wrestling in 2009. These guys suck in tag teams. Shawn Michaels is a legend, and it's ashame I hate him nowadays. But whatever, Vince only wants money, and he knows DX equal Money to the little kids between the ages of 4-12.

Ooh, and to the posted who asked if Teen's find them funny. I'm a teen, and I certainly DO NOT find them funny one bit, I find it, as I've said. Disgraceful.

I do not find anything that DX does funny these days. Their 40 year old frat boys who have toilet humor and fart jokes. Wish DX would turn heel then they might be interesting to watch on my television. As for Hornswoggle he is this generations Doin the Clown. Its sad he was the last Cruiserweight Champion too, that title was so great in wCw, but got buried by Hornswoggle and WWE. If they put another belt on Hornswoggle that will suck hard time.

DX has been stale the last couple times they have been brought back. However, I gotta give them credit for some good merchandise skits. HBK psychotically obsessed with building the WWE toy rings has brought the laughs in a couple skits. HBK shouting, "No! That's me getting beat up.....again" in last week's skit had me laughing too. For some reason the merchandising skits are the only things I have enjoyed from them since their latest return. DX really hasn't been great since they were a heel stable. I'd love to see them return to being heels but doubt that will ever happen (which is a shame as it would make them interesting again).

Haha this is a funny topic. The DX thing is terrible. First of all, you cannot have a PG Rated DX, because, as they show week in and week out, it cannot be funny. They are annoying, especially Michaels. These guys need singles careers. HHH needs to be a heel, and Michaels probably should be a heel as well. But as for DX, please Vince, stop making a mockery out of a once legendary stable. And, by the way, it's no longer a "big, shocking event" when you reunite DX once every six months...stop doing it.

I agree. They are still entertaining and as funny as ever. The fact that they can bring back DX and still be funny without having to rely on anything really controversial like they did back in the day, that says a lot about how good these guys are. People thought that DX would not be possible in the PG Era, but here they are still entertaining their fans.

Exactly. I admit it's kind of dumb, myself.... but I still give it a chance. They need to just get the suing angle over with, whether they use the little people's court or a regular one. DX are the Unified Tag Team Champions now and should NOT be wasting their time with Hornswoggle, although the occasional backstage segment with him involved is not the end of the world.

I am not sick of DX at all, they are still entertaining and I still find them funny. People should not be bashing them because if a group that was once as controversial as the older version of DX can come back in the PG era and still succeed then that should be proof of how good its members are.

I am not sick of DX so much as I am sick of the threads bashing them. Degeneration X has evolved with the times as does everything else. Some of their stuff has actually been quite funny in recent years. As Becca said, the segment about the elimination chamber last year at Christmas time was hilarious. I also loved the segment this year when Triple H was getting Shawn to come back. But my favorite segment has to be this one :

And I mean, aside from the hilarious segments, Triple H and Shawn did an excellent job of elevating Legacy over the summer, the only problem is that the push for Legacy stopped there.

I enjoy DeGeneration X. My problem with their humor, however, is that for the most part it seems pointless.

I loved what they did to Jericho on RAW this week, however. When their humor and childishness serves a purpose it is excellent. When it doesn't it seems very boorish and pointless.

For those pissing and moaning about people "bashing" DX....get over it. Who cares if some people don't enjoy them. You have the right to like them and post about it just as much as those who don't like them have the right to speak about their disdain. DX has been around way too long doing the same old tired act that grows more stale by the week. Yes, I gave them props for their merchandising segments as that is some good tv viewing. However, 90% of their promos are lame and silly (and not in the good way). Two 40 somethings acting like 15 year olds isn't exactly all that entertaining or quality viewing. It's not like every single poster who doesn't like them are just bashing them without any merit or legit reasons. The act has grown stale and some of their promos are just plain out painful to watch. It's not just DX.....but the whole WWE product that's stagnant at the moment (and the last four years to be honest).

First of all, all of you who are bashing DX, you have to understand, DX will NEVER be like it was when it first started. DX 2006 was different from DX 1997-99, and they were still entertaining. There were plenty of segments and skits they did that made me laugh my ass of. And their feud with Vince and Shane was priceless.

DX is mainly being used to sell merchandise now. If you watch Raw, you'll see that there's always a sea of glow sticks throughout the audience, and plenty of their t-shirts.I look at DX as Triple H and Shawn being to old guys having fun. And you have to face facts, the crowd loves them.

Some people say that these guys aren't funny. Well, give Dane Cook a PG rating and he wouldn't be funny either.

Other people say that they don't want to see two old guys acting like a bunch of teenagers. How do you want them to act? No matter what their demeanor is, they're still two 40-year old men running around in tights. How serious can you honestly take them?

And still others complain that the only reason they're together is because they move merchandise. Really? God forbid Vince McMahon treats his publicly traded company like a business. Nearly everything you see in the WWE is based on merchandise and buy rates. If DX wasn't a money maker for the WWE, then they would pull the plug on it. But since the duo makes the company money, they're together.

I'm really tired of people saying that the WWE doesn't listen to its fans. You act as if you're insulted that the WWE writers don't head over to the WrestleZone forum and use your ideas. The fact is that the WWE does listen to its fans. The fans spend money on DX merchandise. So the WWE keeps the two together. If you don't like it, then turn the channel.

In the meantime, I'll enjoy the DX title run for what it is meant to do. I'll look forward to the DX/Hart Dynasty feud that is set to begin Friday night ... a feud that will surely see Bret Hart get involved.

Really don't feel like reading 6 pages of bitching, so I apologize if I repeat anything. I still find DX entertaining. Matter of fact, it's really the only part of Raw worth watching to me anymore. Between the ridiculous Host's who haven't the slightest clue who the performers are, the Diva's matches which quit being entertaining since the possibilty of seein a thong went out the window, and John Cena overcoming the odds every god damn week(never been a Cena hater but it's startin to wear thin), I have no problem watchin DX goof around with a midget for a while.



Also, why are you bitchin about DX winning the Tag Titles? I was so stoked to see that for one simple reason; The Hart Dynasty is going to be put over huge. Think about it, with Bret Hart returning to WWE programming, a very likely thing to happen would be to see DX fueding with THD with Hart's involvement. Any tag team would get a bigger rub winning the titles off DX rather than Jeri-Show. Sorry, but the only people who enjoy their monotone lame ass promos are IWC smarks. Jericho is a great wrestler and has an uncanny ability to cut promos, but this era of Jericho has run it's course.

So pretty much, I'm going the exact opposite route as you my friend. I love watching DX.

Last Night was the last straw for me. It saddens me to to see what use to be a group of ass kicking bad asses now become a joke. Magical courtrooms and a little people world. Last nights Raw was a slap in the face to wrestling fans. The whole show was geared towards 8 year olds. From the ridiculas Tiger woods parody to DX to Big show and santa. With all the things WWE have to offer they keep playing these games instead of centering on the sport. I was so upset last night when Raw went off the air. I really am Hoping TNA puts a hurting on WWE so we can have something worth watching again.

I don't mind DX still being around that much, but they seriously need to do something other than what they did last night. That was a complete waste of time and made me seriously consider changing the channel. It was an insult to my intelligence and to anyone watching as well. The video they showed last night took up enough time twice no less to actually do something worthwhile, say I dunno, give the WWE Champion enough time to maybe cut a promo or something? I honestly hope last night was the end to this horrible angle and DX can move on to something actually meaningful, say maybe defend the Tag Team Titles they've shown up with maybe once.

I hope they split up soon, we know DX won't put over any young tag teams (Jerishow sure as hell didn't what makes you think DX will?), and I'm sure Triple H is dying to get back into the WWE title scene once more, so it's going to happen sooner or later. The sooner the better.

I fear that the Hart Dynasty will get the 'Spirit Squad treatment'. However, with Bret Hart coming in I am slightly relieved as I don't think he would be too happy with THD being constantly buried. It's hard to tell where things will go as Vince doesn't value tag team wrestling. THD are very entertaining in the ring and could cut some decent promos in the right storyline. I really hope they aren't made to look weak against DX and honestly DX should put them over. If DX does put them over, I'm sure they would later get revenge making THD lose heat or will be thrown into meaningless feuds afterward killing their push/credibility. I just don't have a ton of confidence in WWE handling the pushing of a quality tag team.....they will screw it up somehow.

And yes that Little People's Court was beyond dreadful. I'm embarrassed for DX for taking part in that skit (and for most of the roster having to go through anything skit wise in Monday's RAW). This is beating a dead horse, but Vince needs a re haul in the complete booking team and ways they present the product. I have only taken one break from watching WWE long term (1992-1996 because of college, not getting WWE on the town's cable, and the product was sucking anyways around that time).

I don't think they give a damn about whether Wrestlezone can add them to the top teams - and I also don't think people base their lists on how many tag team titles a team has won.

Im not going to read most of the posts users have commented with in regards to this thread..and I dont need to.
Us as wwe fans have enjoyed the product for years ,but sadly the majority of Raw the last 5-6 months has easily been the worst in some time.
I just watched Raw and I actually sat there unamused,bored ,and was constantly talking to my mates with a "what the hell" attitude.

If this is what Hunter and Shawn want DX to be remembered as then they should definately talk to creative or whoever writes their material.We all know were in the PG era of sports entertainment ..but portraying a dwarf and one of the greatest factions/tag teams ever as a disney channel movie or cast is beyond a joke.A little people court is further justifying the means.

Does Vince actually believe that his entire audience is under the age of 10? Does Viince have that much faith in children that the loyal wwe fans past and present deserve this crap?

The WWE PG era has caused the entire product of WWE to really turn into crap. Vince believes that in terms of a fan base, kids are the future of the wrestling business' success...and I don't agree with that at all. Teenagers and adults all over the world STILL watch wrestling Vince, and obviously all you care about is making money off merchandise...getting all the little kiddies to buy Cena and DX gear week after week...it's sad. I still watch this PG crap every week because I'm a loyal WWE fan, and I'm still hoping things will change and revert back to what they were like as recently as 2007 when we saw a lot of good wrestling matches, good gimmicks AND had great commentators on all shows (Joey Styles & Tazz on ECW, JR and the King on RAW, Michael Cole & JBL on SmackDown!), but bottomline: DX of 2009 sucks ass, and I can't wait for them to drop those tag belts back to Jerishow.

Im very anti-Triple H, lemme say that first. But at first I enjoyed his position in DX. The constant shameless plugs were funny. Every now and then something with Hornswoggle would be funny. The problem is when you tell the same jokes over and over it gets lame. That's what DX is to me now. They are stale, I know what they are gonna do already so there is no reason to watch. Now they're taking over Smackdown too which makes things even worse as Smackdown is the only WWE show I can stand to watch anymore. I am sick of DX, hell im sick of WWE in general.
