The Hart Dynasty- yet another team lost in the shuffle

It's Damn Real!

The undisputed, undefeated TNA &
I can't help but feel as though the incredibly weak tag-division in the WWE has really taken away from something that could have been great in the Hart Dynasty. Don't get me wrong, it still can be, but IMO they simply aren't being booked into any position of relevance here. Week-after-week they're being booked into ambiguity and irrelevance.

Does anyone even realize this is their second or third feud with Cryme Tyme, and they can't get over? IMO, this is too strong of a Legacy (all pun intended) to simply be burying these guys consistently, only to perpetuate the Jeri-show style of "tag teams" where two singles stars in need of direction are simply paired together and don't even so much as wear matching trunks or outfits.

Tag teams like the Hart Dynasty are a lost art in the WWE, IMO, and something needs to change rather quickly for them if any real future success is to be had by them.

Thoughts?

I don't really think the Hart Dynasty is lost. I agree that they need another feud other than Cryme Tyme.... but being an old fashioned type of tag team, rather a random pairing such as JeriShow, will be good for them in the long run. Cryme Tyme has never had a championship reign, so feuding with them will get you nowhere. The Hart Dynasty are a good team and just need the right feud in order to get more over.

If they had debuted a year or so ago, right around when Miz & Morrison started their 280 day reign, then I'm certain that the Hart Dynasty would have won a tag team championship by now. It's just that they need teams like JeriShow now to bring the prestige back. Having the tag team belts be used to gain access to Raw if you're on Smackdown (like Jericho) or vice versa, makes them a much more important belt to win.

The Hart Dynasty will get over, their time is coming. They just happened to start at a bad time to be in a traditional tag team because of the lack of prestige the belts had. I believe they will get a good run someday and if/when they split up they will both be successful. Let's just wait and see.

No I dont. Actually, I think they're just about to become relavent. If we go by last weeks results, they seemed to be in Vickie G's good books. which means that they're going to be associated with the companys best heat magnet, and if she uses them as her 'hired guns' they'll be in some different matches (at the very least) and possibly get a PPV match or two out of the Gurrerro and Vince vs. Teddy feud (if you can call it that). Or they'll go back to doing nothing. It could go either way at the moment.

In the third shot in my war against the Smackdown section, I am going to answer the question quite simply:

The Hart Dynasty- are they yet another team lost in the shuffle?

I for one, do not believe so.Lets keep in mind that they are still fairly green. We are looking at a team that really have been put together in a reliable gimmick that creative know is going to get a reaction, and then just let loose. Working with Cryme Tyme simply helps them get exposure, and although they have fought them countless times, it does help to get them firmly into the heads of the fans. I think in the coming years we will see something more substantial, and although their rookie year hasn't been greatly eventful, it has at least given them a chance to prove themselves capable of being on a bigger showcase, especially with DH Smith's suspension not that long in the past.

I think that as Jerishow drop the belts, or perhaps even as soon as they finish with D-X, we may see some movement in the Tag Team ranks to allow these guys to have a crack at the gold. As far as their Cryme Tyme feud, I can only think of The Rockers in the AWA, feuding with Buddy Rose and Doug Sommers til everyone was sick to death of it. Here's to a few more Hart Dynasty/ Cryme Tyme matches!

Trust me on this one: WWE has plans for The Hart Dynasty. Currently, they are being allowed to gel as a team before being catapulted into the big time. Both have shown enough promise to be brought to the main roster, but they're still too green for WWE to put the straps on. The flip side is that JeriShow is bringing some luster back to those belts, priming them for the eventual reign of THD.

Don't forget, the original Hart Foundation was around for almost two years, feuding on the lower- to mid-card with guys like The Killer Bees and others before they were pushed as the WWF's top team. I think The Hart Dynasty is on the same trajectory.

Right now they're kind of like the wrestling equivalent to chili. It's good the first day, but after it's been allowed to sit overnight and marinate, it's really delicious! Once Cryme Tyme has been used to sharpen the team's abilities, WWE is going to turn the spotlight on them. By that point, they'll be more than ready to shine!

First of all PEP3, allow me to say screw you for ruining my post series of all MRC in the Smackdown section. Secondly, let me draw attention to a very good point that you make. The Original Hart Foundation were around for a long time before they sniffed tag team gold, feuding with the wealth of tag teams that were around at that time before being rewarded with the belts.

I'm not quite sure which era it's the by-product of, but nowadays most people assume that if they haven't won the belts within a year, they are a failure. Don't longer reigns and chases connotate to more prestigious championships? The Hart Dynasty are rookies at this point, and by putting the gold on them, I think this would stunt their growth and ultimately do them more harm than good. I say, let them develop.
