Domestic football - spam version

This must be one of those incredibly rare nights where Scotland were the only home nation to win? I have no clue who the hell Anya is, but he seems to be mad over on my facebook feed at the moment.

What a horrendous match, really glad I stayed at home and watched it instead of heading to my friends for a few drinks, okay, I don't have friends, but that doesn't make the match any less horrendous.

Have to laugh at Woy's incredulity at the criticism being thrown in England's direction.

It's like he does not understand that if England play like that again against either Poland or Montenegro next month, they won't beat either of them. There was a real chance for England to make things easier for themselves in October by having a late dart at a poor Ukraine side but Hodgson shied away from it.

The suspicion is also that Woy will look for two 1-0 wins at home and set up in an accordingly negative fashion, hoping for a goal from a set piece or a piece of magic from Gerard or Rooney.

To be fair though, Woy has had to deal with a lot of injuries and some truly terrible performances by the replacements he had at his disposal. Frank Lampard nearly scored a late winner but that would have masked what was another anonymous display in an England shirt when the chips are down. How he was ever picked ahead of Gerrard continues to astonish me. Ashley Young's ability as a winger has fallen off a cliff since about his second month at Man Utd - total garbage. Kyle Walker looked like he had never played full back in his life, forcing Gerrard to have to frequently join the back four, and Jack Wilshire might be the most overrated youngster in England. He might be carrying injuries but I just do not see what others seem to see in him. He certainly failed to make a correct decision all night in Kiev - a walking possession loser. And that is saying something to stand out in that England team as someone who gives the ball away.

I disagree about Wilshere. He was brilliant when he was first playing for Arsenal and England. With Rooney and Sturridge to add (presumably for Milner and Lambert) the Lampard should be dropped for someone like Rodwell or Henderson. Rooney, Sturridge and Walcott have goals in them. That won't be the problem area.

Wilshere sucked last night. Should England stick with him though? Fuck yes. Gerrard was alright, nice to see him not just hoofing it as hard as he can for once.

Barbosa this should make your blood boil as much as it did mine.

Had Hamann spent his entire career as the defensive midfielder that he became at Liverpool, he would be remembered as a far better player.

Wilshire should become a far better player than Didi but right now, he isn't and with the rate that he picks up injuries, he might never be. The comparison is a poor on though as they are two totally different players - Wilshire is the terrier who goes after the ball while Didi sat in front of the back four.

A better comparison would be between Wilshire and Henderson and the way the latter has performed in 2013, that comparison is a lot closer than it was. In fact, Hendo should have been Wilshire's replacement in Kiev.

I maintain that Hamman was one of our most important players at Istanbul in 2005.
It's a poor comparison but the sheer ignorance from Morgan annoys me. Hamman was severely underrated and won numerous titles, Wilshere on the other hand while very young has won nothing and has been ridiculously overrated during his short career.

Hendo has really impressed me with the way he's turned things around after a terrible first year at Liverpool. His attitude and workrate are fantastic and while he maybe shouldn't be starting for England he should be the first one to be called on from the subs bench.

Steve Harpers testimonial is tonight. Di Canio is playing for AC Milan.

:banghead: What bullshit. He really is a fucking wanker.

Wilshere has been terrible for England but he is quality. Gerrard's been brilliant for England but the team in front of him is pretty average. Playing deeper for Liverpool has made him a better player for England and it's shown in these internationals.

Hamman was a wonderful player for Liverpool, a steal at 8 million. Without him I dread to think what we would have achieved, Stevie G wouldnt be quite the player he is.

And Henderson, the transformation is stark. He was brilliant against United.

I think Wilshere could be amazing but he will probably always be better for Arsenal as they will be built around him.

Hendo would have been a better sub than Milner in both games.
