Domestic football - spam version

The story about Herrera(?) is hilarious if true (BBC have apparently had it verified by United). Men in black suits eh? Maybe they used mind erasing devices too...

Looks like Merseyside did some very tidy business this past 24 (or so) hours though. Should make for an intriguing derby.

Moyes was never going to buy big. If he did then he'd have no excuses if this season is a failure. As it is, nobody will get on his back if he comes, say, third in what is a transitional season for Man Utd.

I reckon we may go back for Coentrao in January. It sounded as if the deal between United and Madrid was all but done, but then the replacement Madrid wanted wasn't ready.

I think Kagawa is going to find himself under immense pressure when he's fit as I've read a lot of comments from people along the lines of, "Oh well we didn't get Fabregas, Thiago, Ozil or Herrera, but Kagawa is nearly fit!" While he did have some good moments last season, there weren't many games I saw him play that lived up to the hype of how well he performed in Germany. As it will be a transitional season too, I don't know if he will get a good enough run of games to get settled.

Well, really, how many foreign players actually do that well in their first season?

The 20th richest club in the world couldn't afford a player better than Shola Ameobi.

Chicharito.

I get what you're saying though and my point is that due to a lack of activity in the window for all the midfielders we were linked with, the midfielders we do have will be under the microscope even more.

Seems a bit shit that I can't transfer Bale out from my Fantasy Team after his move. And especially after all the money I sank into him. Cunt.

True. But I wrongly assumed that should he transfer, I would be allowed to reinvest the money that I spent on him.

Apparently the boys have taken a look at the Belgian team and let their shorts have it

Moyes will want to press for all the silverware on offer this season, as expected. Shinji will get plenty of appearances but again the issue is that he didn't really show his full ability and potential last season as he himself admitted. Fellaini is big and bad enough to just not give a fuck and overpower opponents.

For the record I do want to see Shinji come good as much as I want Valencia to learn how to use his left foot but the Shinji who worked wonders at Dortmund wasn't the same one who played for United last season and needs more time to settle in and less pressure to instantly be brilliant.

You have two free transfers every Gameweek, or maybe every month, so you should be able to get him out.

In other news, I despise international breaks. Non-tournament international football is such a waste of time. I don't want to watch all the best teams destroy those who are barely in the top 100.

Premier League, plz.

Shearer, Barton, Dyer, Bowyer and Di Canio will be on the pitch at the same time on Wednesday.

What an awful game in the Ukraine. I know there were injuries but there were lot of very, very average/anonymous performances in that England team - Young, Milner, Lampard, Wilshire and Walker were all abysmal.

Of course, it does not beat losing to Luxembourg.
