Transfer Deadline Day, hooray! Panic signings and messages getting lost in translation FTW!

This thread will suffice as the LD. Kaka is back at Milan, Liverpool have signed Ilori so far.

Ilori and Sakho on permanents and Moses on a season long loan.

Rumours persist about Given coming in as back up.

Borini looks to be away to Sunderland on loan so there might be a last ditch attempt on another striker.

Ozil to Arsenal and perhaps Di Maria too look like they could be the big deals of the day. Although it would be unsurprising to see Wenger botch those deals too.

Could you imagine a front 3 of Suarez, Bale and Ronaldo? I mean, it would be the most selfish front line in the world, but the attacking would be stunning.

Also, I'd be happy with Real going for Suarez. It would mean Di Maria would definitely leave, and Arsenal might have a decent chance of getting Benzema, if he didn't want to be second to Suarez at Madrid.

Also, Arsenal have made an enquiry about Ba. Not sure how I feel about that. He's about as good as Giroud, but we need someone who's a bit better. We'll see.

Some money being bet on Juan Mata to end up at Liverpool by the end of the day, although he is still short odds to stay at Chelsea.

As for Arsenal inquiring after Demba Ba, it fits in with one of Wenger's squad policies that I have long agreed with - having a powerful striker in the squad to change things up. The fact that Wenger continually failed to play the likes of Bendtner as a target man was just another mess up from Arsene.

Ander Herrera looks certain to be OT bound. 36 million euros is very steep though.

Even if we already have plenty of midfielders and it may signal the departure of Suarez, I would definitely not look down my nose at the most consistent player in the Premier League last year arriving at Anfield.

PSG are in the driving seat though should Mata leave the Bridge.

Except every player who's any good is linked with PSG at some point. But I haven't heard anything about them making any moves.

Oh yes, the bookies are everyone's go-to news source.

Liverpool fan picking his nose on Sky Sports. Lovely.

Ozil is definitely an exciting signing. Wenger definitely wasn't joking around. Ironic that Arsenal provided the funds for Real to buy Bale off Spurs.

Manchester United finally signing a midfielder in Herrera? He would probably be on the bench sitting next to Kagawa watching 40 years old Giggs and English international Tom Cleverley play the majority of the matches.

It's funny, I'd be wondering if it was worth it if I was Van Persie.

Would I rather be playing for Moyes, with Cleverly playing behind me, or playing for Wenger with Ozil playing behind me?

To go further back, would you fancy your chances of saying "I don't think we can win anything" to Vidic or Koscielny?

I am jealous that you guys got Ozil though, treat the big eyed genius well :-)

That league winners medal will keep him sleeping soundly for now.

"Remember when we were good? Hey! Everyone remember that?"

Indeed, I'm sure he'll get along very well with Mr. Cazorla.

United fans don't seem to think that. And it's probably their opinion that counts when it comes to Manchester United.

Arsenal fans on Sky Sports: Waving, thumbs up, quiet but smiling.

Liverpool fans: Middle fingers, Wanker gestures, shouting.

Lovely.

Newcastle?

* Sigh *

Real have no chance of getting Suarez, I'm quite sure Liverpool can hold out for another 4 hours and they don't have enough strikers.

Ozil to Arsenal is a bit of a strange one, they already have Cazorla and Arteta for that position. It's much more important that they buy decent defenders.

I'd laugh my arse off if Man U can't bring anyone in. Moyes simply doesn't inspire confidence in anyone they want.

I've kind of realised that having faith in your squad and only bringing in a few players might be the best way to go. QPR brought in a shit ton of players last year and got nowhere. Arsenal only got two good players out of their shopping spree the year before. And now Sunderland have brought in like 10 players and have had an awful start and Spurs are having trouble gelling...

This has turned out to be quite an exciting deadline day bewteen Ozil, Ba, Fellaini and Herrera. Most fun since the whole Torres/Suarez/Carroll shennanigans.

Real aren't trying to get Suarez. We've played a blinder this summer. Add an attack minded midfielder and it would have been one of our best windows.

Sakho is going to be beastly and Ilori reminds me of a young Agger.

That and the 200k a week that he is on.

Cannot believe Bale is on 300k though.

It's all happened under the radar but Brendan Rogers is slowly building a beast of a side. When I was combing the Fantasy Football squads at the start of the season, you can see the strength in each area of the team. Very good keeper, probably the most solid defence in the league, Gerrard and Coutinho, 2 very talented strikers and some very good young players who are only going to get stronger. A bit more width and a 3rd striker and they'll put in a serious title challenge.
