Well i can't say who we should get 12 months from now as anything could change in that time in regards to players at their current clubs.
If we were to sell him this summer for say 40 million then we would have to strengthen a few areas, especially if we sell Carrol, Skrtel and Downing.
In the backs i would go for either Alderweireld or De Vrij. Both have only 12 months left on their contracts so could be gotten at a good price. Wouldn't mind us going for Ogbona, Zambrano or Douglas either.
Dede has already moved to Cruzerio and Williams would be too much money for a 29 year old, Swansea already took us to the cleaners last time we dealt with them.
In midfield id like to see us go for Diame at west ham if he does have a 3 million release clause, shame we didn't pick him up last summer when he was out of contract. Leroy Fer would be a great signing for midfield, he nearly went to Everton in January so should have no problem joining us. Ince would be a good signing as long as we don't pay to much, the 20 million price tag blackpool slapped on him is ridiculous for a championship player.
Ericksen would be a good signing but i imagine a few teams would be in for him, it would take high wages to get him to come to us. Ive heard were going to make a bid for him in the summer and if we don't get him were going to go for Mkhitaryan at Shakhtar, either one would be great for the AM position and would allow Suarez to go out on the wing.
I would only buy a striker if we buy an AM and push Suarez out to the right wing but if we were to go for one i wouldn't mind Remy(as long as he takes a wage cut) or Bony at VVV. Negredo wouldn't be a bad option either.
Few outside bets would be Benteke, Lewandowski, Tadic, Shaw, Arda Turan or Lavezzi but id be amazed if we got any of them to be honest.
If we had any money left over id nearly replace Reina. He's not the same goalie he was and there's lots of options out there in Europe at good prices. Ter Stegen, Bernd Leno, Mihalov and Ochoa would all be great goalies and all of them with the exception of Ter Stegen could be gotten for less then 10 million.
