Domestic football - spam version

Not exactly, most of my mates are Arsenal/Chelsea/Liverpool fans and they're all complete douchebags when it comes to football, funnily enough I cant say that about the Man United fans I know, which is weird. But I cheer Spurs on for pretty much that reason and I follow the Prem, but I actually support Gillingham. So I am happy when we dont concede an own goal in every game.

Funny day in football today really.

When I saw the team sheet in the Newcastle/Brighton game, I could have told you that Newcastle were going to lose. In all honesty, they wont improve in form until some their big players come back and get back to their own best form. I think it's safe to say that Newcastle over performed last year but I'm still surprised when they lose so horrifically this year. It's a shame that all of their injuries came at the one time but that;s football and Brighton definitely deserved their win today.

Additionally, Demba Ba at Chelsea has already made the world of difference. Torres is shit and at this point, I think people are just taking pity on the poor soul. They are almost willing him to rediscover his form of when he was playing for Liverpool. But it really isn't going to happen for him. Torres will be gone in the summer transfer window. Mark my words.

Fulham and Rangers were the only team to burst my coupon today and I honestly felt a little hard done to. Rangers OG was horrific. But when you're down to 10 men for most of the game, these things can happen.

Fulham should have probably won on paper but that's football.

Anyway, is anyone interested in a Football Betting Thread?

After beating Bristol Rovers he proceeded to announce he'd begged for the job there lol. Yeah he's mental and he's a club ****, but I do enjoy what he has to say most of the time and I cant argue with his results, just sitting and waiting for him to get bored and move on though.

Look at our team have you heard of Dummet? Tavenir? Abeid? Exactly, most of the people in the pub hadn't. It was reserves at best plus Anita and Santon. Nowhere near our full strength team, Nile Ranger will be a testament to that.
It says more about who was in the pub with you. I've heard of everyone who started except Elliott and Abeid, plus Dummett on the bench. The rest have played plenty of times this season.

They played like strangers though. The real shame was for the brilliant fans making that round trip for such a awful performance. Albion just wanted it more.

Poyet is building a really good team down there. He's exactly the kind of manager who will do a great job and never get to finish it because he will get poached by a bigger club.

Supposed premier team...cheating...classless chanting blah blah blah

I forgot to add when Matthew Briggs got taken off, the Blackpool fans started taking the piss singing "Briggs, Briggs will tear you apart again".

Top five for Fulham, yeah definitely, Dempsey against Juventus, Zamora against Shakhtar, Davies vs Hamburg and Ruiz against Everton are the rest, but it's probably near the top of that group.

I love the first one of these more than any of them though, just for how hard he ***** it - you hear it hit the board behind the goal. Easily the best game I've ever been to, and I had that Liverpool kit with Clough's name on it!

Finally seen the goal. Nice.

My best two live are Ben Arfa v Bolton last season and Tiote v Arsenal.

The best goal I've seen live is probably Andy Carroll vs Exeter last year. I've been to a few games but the goals have generally been a bit pants.

I've been lucky enough to see a series of rather spectacular free kicks - Marcus Gayle for Wimbledon against Liverpool, Nakamura for Celtic against Man Utd in the CL and a Beckham Special for Man Utd against Arsenal.

Best quality game was probably Arsenal 2-2 Man Utd at Highbury in 2003

When the best 10 minutes of 2013 is Ba being booked for diving and beign incorrectly ruled offside with Geordie Graham scoring in between is the highlight you have a bad time.

So, Swansea favourites for the cup then? I have no doubt Chelsea will give them a hell of a game, but Swansea's home form is pretty good and Chelsea were pretty much at full strength tonight too.

I think I might be a regular in this thread.

As long as he doesn't want to up his wages he should serve us well. Clattenburg could be an option down the line as a good replacement, but his form is erratic at best. United need consistent quality.

Say, with the money and power of the Russian mob behind them, why haven't Chelsea bought a ref yet? Closest they got was a Rafa, I bet Roman is still face-palming over that communication blunder.

You want to see something to really complain about? Wait until Sunday when Howard Webb lines up at Old Trafford to face Liverpool

This.
