I wouldn't mind Dempsey as long as he was cheap(6 million) seeing as he's 29 and may only have a few years left and leaving us with no resale value. Id say Fulham would hold out for more though.

Fabio Borini's a good striker. Swansea should have tried to sign him rather than Graham.

I hope United can get the rumoured Leighton Baines deal done as quickly as possible. I still like Evra, but the over-reliance on him coupled with Fabio's form/injuries last season seemed to take their toll on him. Baines is a solid player who is decent with set-pieces and crosses too, so the potential of Valencia pinging balls in from the right and Baines from the left is quite an intriguing prospect.

I'd say LFC will bid £6m for Dempsey; Fulham will want at least £10m. They will settle at about £8-9m, perhaps with the likes of Robinson or Flanigan going the other way on loan.

Think that is right on the edge of decent value for a 29 year old. I have been surprised that bigger clubs were not in for Dempsey at least 2 years ago.
