Yeah, so the Champions League is back, and Arsenal played surprisingly well, defensively. Best defensive performance since Chelsea 27/12/10. We stood strong and won every ball, yes, we rode our luck, but, at the end of the day, their goal was unstoppable. And, there is nothing to be ashamed of drawing with the German champions, right?

So Luiz and Mata both scored on their Champions League debuts for Chelsea (fucking great goal by Luiz), Torres didn't really play all that well having again missed opportunities but he did selflessly set up Mata which at least shows that he's thinking about the team and not himself.

Still gaps at the back though, Utd will undoubtedly score if Chelsea defend like that on Sunday.

City and Napoli is surprisingly close, I still think City will win though.

Utd will probably score at the very end or something against Benfica tonight.

I've heard rumours Torres is regretting his move and is angling for a return to Liverpool. Apparently Stevie G and Pepe Reina have been in favour of it but Dalglish has said no, to put it kindly.

My mate was at the Chelsea game last night, and his assessment of Torres' performance was damning to say the least.

In other news, I played football this evening and totally sliced a pull back so badly that it curled inside the near post and was probably the best goal I've scored for about 7 or 8 years.

Rumours, eh. Who listens to them?

Not a great start for the English clubs in CL then with 3 draws, Arsenal will be and should be happy with there draw there is no disgrace in drawing away to the Bundesliga Champions

Watched the Man City game and it was an OK game Napoli looked very dangerous on the counter but with some better finishing City could of won it by 2 or 3 goals

Athletico VS Celtic tomorow night and if we play like we did on Saturday then we may get a draw out of it

I hope celtic get stuffed, they don't deserve to be there.

I remember when John Beresford scred away to dynamo Kiev.

Yeah he did.

They were 2-0 up and he scored 2 in the last 10 minutes and we had stewart pearce score a free kick at SJP.

Athletico are a great team in the context of the Europa League and they have invested superbly to replace Aguero.

Despite Celtic maybe taking a humpin' from Atletico, I would have liked to be able to see it or the Spurs game over fucking Birmingham. Fulham - Twente might be a decent game I suppose.

Well despite the early goal it's still only 1-0, we've regrouped, Samaras and Hooper are causing Athletico some problems, Hooper was through on goal at one point but just couldn't get control of the ball but very dissapointed with the goal we conceded very sloppy defending and I hope Lennon gives the defendeds are bollocking for it.

if the results stay the same then Chelsea maybe the only British team to win in Europe this week.
