Domestic football - spam version

There we go. Yes I'm aware I'm celebrating being 13th in the league.

And that's why... Fergie favoured Valencia over Nani for so long. Well, most likely not.

The red card was the turning point of the game but United had a lot of opportunities to give them more breathing space over the 2 legs and weren't embarrassed by any means. Madrid have had a great 2 weeks or so and if they carry on the momentum, this could be their year for the CL.

Much as it pains me to admit it, Manchester United looked the only winners of that until Nani got himself sent off. It was a good call though. Roy Keane, always liked that man, despite his less than stellar behaviour, great player but he is the bollocks as a pundit as well.

Spurs 3 Inter 0, good result, only chance they've got of keeping Bale is a top four finish this year though. I miss Van Der Vaart but he may well have been surplus to requirements at this point.

Anyone else think it's harsh that away goals count during extra time? Why should a team be given 30 minutes extra to get an away goal?

Fair enough away goals but it shouldn't apply during the 30 mins extra time.

I have brought this up amongst my friends on numerous occasions.

Although, there is the counter-argument that the away team has to play an extra 30 minutes away from home, which is seen as a major disadvantage.

Though laughing at the media saying Spurs could do it without Bale. They were beaten 4-1.

Anything that involves laughing at Spurs is a bonus.

I enjoyed Sunday afternoon more than any other football related matter this season, even if Bale is going to get voted ahead of Suarez for Player of the Year, against season long (and year long) form.

I almost cried when they scored tonight.

I wonder what odds you would have got for us being in the quarters at the start of the season?

Away goals shouldnt count in extra time, Inter should've gone through. That said if it gets everybody elses backs up then good result.

Random thought but why do fans seem to get more obnoxious the further away from their team they live? People complain about southern United fans but Liverpool fans down here are toxic. They cant all be this bad surely? Or does having nothing to celebrate instead of a possesion statistic and good teams occasional failure finally got to them?

It's that, we live close to Sunderland. The Mackem at work was waiting for the attendance to be announced at half time to laugh but then when it was 45,487 he shut up "We'd kill for a crowd like that".

When Harry Redknapp became QPR manager they were 6 points adrift. £25 million and 19 games later they're 7 points adrift.

Really? Seem to remember saying they'd do better under him, once again I am tasting my own foot. Although they've won a game at least.

That is a terrible ref performance. A clear red and a handball to assist the goal.

Didn't help that Santon's shit like.
