Dolph Ziggler's Look

If he ditched Vickie Guerrero and sorta had a bit of a better hairstyle but that colour and his current attitude, he can go far.

The new look will take some getting used too.... and to me it doesn't even matter.

I do agree with jellmoo though.... a name change would probably help. As long as they can do it without drawing too many comparisons to the JoMo name change. And, maybe having HIM turn on Vickie would give him a little spark too.

I think it is a horrible idea. Now Dolph looks like every other generic WWE youngster. I thought the blonde hair looked horrible but it separated him from the pack. Plus when he was bumping around in the ring if I squinted I felt like I was watching Mr Perfect again which is about as good of a comparison that Ziggler will ever get
I think the IWC is horrible.

but really, I don't mind. It was time for a different look. He'd been going with the blonde thing for a while. Let's see where they take him and his new tude before we pass judgment.

The new look is actually pretty solid in comparison; I never once took him seriously with the blonde hair.

As far as those of you wishing for a new name or look...they could always call him "Nicky" and run him as a cheerleader.

I love Dolph's new look and ATTITUDE! He deserves to be champion, more than Morrison, R Truth, Mcantire, and all the other boring guys! I see a bright future for dolph, up there with Del Rio, The Miz, Cody Rhodes, Sin Cara, Alex Riley, Daniel Bryan, Jack Swagger, Justin Gabriel, Wade Barrett and Sheamus! These guys will be the WWE for the next 5 years!

I don't think it needed changing, he was already in the main event picture on smackdown before he swapped shows, give it a few months and he could of been doing the same on raw, it was a different look to everyone else.

Bad move, As OP said the old look separated him from the pack, and by the 'same old heel' I guess you mean a complete Stone Cold/Randy Orton rip off fail

All he needs to do is ditch Vickie and he could be taken more seriously if he maintained the character but maybe improve the hair a little further by allowing it to grow somemore, just get rid of the excess use of hairgel lol

I think that the intention was to make him look more "business-like", and less flamboyant. It seems to be indicative of them wanting to make him appear more legit, though I think that it's at the expense of what made him stand out. People who don't pay attention and only tune in every now and then might have remembered him as "that blonde guy", but he blends in a bit more now. It's kind of twofold, really: serious, professional contender vs. unique look and over-the-top charisma, both being good qualities in the biz. I'd say it bodes well for the direction they likely plan to go with him, but it could potentially work against him, despite the benefits of a refresh. Anyone else find the timing odd, though?

They took away the only thing that made him different from the rest of the WWE roster, asides from the heat magnet which is Vickie Guerrero.

Bad move IMO as well. He looked like his younger brother Ryan when he came out, I actually thought at first that it make be Ryan Nemeth, or that they'll start working a "twin magic" thing like they do with the Bellas, as Nick and Ryan look basically the exact same.

And can someone please explain his "new attitude?" Evan Bourne owned him for a good portion of the match, if anything they were showcasing a weaker Dolph Ziggler instead of some new attitude which isn't even there. The new haircut makes him look like he was back in the Spirt Squad. WWE have taken away the only thing which truly made him different to the rest. And instead handed him a, "new attitude."

Why are/were people comparing him to Mr. Perfect? Because the word perfection is in his song? Anyway I don't really care one way or the other about the new look. In the end, it's how he performs and carries himself. Maybe he wasn't believable as a charasmatic, flamboyant dude so they want to turn him into this serious get the job done guy. He seems to be the one left out being that JoMo and Truth now seem to be in the title pictuer. What's next for him? He squashed Evan Bourne so that means.........U.S. Title? I don't know. Only time will tell.

I agree the hair style change took away from the character, its like they are trying halfway reset his character. I was more intresting with the older look, like mentioned before just more generic.

why are idiots against Dolph's new haircut? he has been midcard and going nowhere fast. WWE is trying to give him a new look and attitude. Change is good people

Change is good but when the change makes you look like every other new superstar, it's hard to like it.

Look at all the new guys coming in. They have the same generic look. Nothing sets them apart. It's like WWE went the UFC route and forced all the wrestlers to wear trunks only.

Dolph stood out because of that bleached blonde hair. Now he has the same haircut and look as most superstars, short crew cuts.

Triple H, Edge, Undertaker, Husky Harris, R-Truth and a few others are the only ones with long hair.

Eh. Not a really big fan of it. He looks too... I dunno... generic. I thought his bleached blond hair really set him apart from the rest of the roster and made him look unique. Dolph's problem in my view wasn't his look, it was his goofy name. Also, I thought his old look gave him a slight resemblance to Mr. Perfect which I thought was pretty darn cool, especially considering his theme was "Perfection". But anyway, I'm not a fan of the new look but change is inevitable in the WWE. I guess it'll just take some getting used to. As long as he keeps up his good in-ring work, I'll be happy. Although I'm secretly hoping he'll go back to his old look at some point down the line.

DZ becomes yet another generic wrestler. No doubt he'll do well though since he now looks like what Vince thinks a wrestler should look like. Add in a decent finisher and you could have a main event talent there.

I like it, next he needs to drop those stupid short things, get some tights and get a new theme, I liek his theme by downstait (people that do Miz's theme). Look it up.

I think the way he walked out, did a vicious Zig Zag, & just walked out is amazing, his new personality needs to be ust a badass ass kicker, let vicky do all the talking.

I for one like his new look

They basically erased any character he had and turned him into a generic clone, who no longer seems to have any type of gimmick or individuality. Great work as usual WWE. Totally stupid.

I agree with everyone who said "generic." I swear it was the very first word that popped into my head when I saw it. He doesn't stand out anymore at all. He may have the personality to make his character work despite the new hairdo, but in my opinion he only made it harder for himself (provided the hairdo-change was his idea to beging with).

Sometimes you don't appreciate what you had until it's gone. I actually thought I didn't like his look. Mr. Perfect, I sometimes thought, but most of the time I thought he looked like Billy Gunn. Bad association. A ticket towards midcarder-for-life. Or so I thought.

Now the new look is here and I don't know what the hell I was thinking criticizing his look before. Now I'm thinking he used to look like someone geting ready to play with the big boys. I guess I'm just one of these fans that are never happy. The wrestling world is full of those.

Yeah I think it's a bad career move for him, my first thought was "WHY"??? at least with the peroxide blonde long hair he had a look that stood out of the crowd which was the biggest thing he had going for him.... Btw did anyone else think that he looks very similar to Evan Bourne (facially), I was on the phone when his match started so the sound was turned down, at first glance I thought Bourne was wreslting his brother at a second look I knew it was Zigler.

I like the hair for the sole reason that i hated his old hair style but if they push his personality like randy orton's then i will be begging for his old hair. It would just not work for him, i have always seen him as short tempered and feisty, and i liked it. I liked how he got emotional in matches or when he only got a two count, if he is "dark", then he will lose all credibility to me.

It's not a big deal, at all. The look was unique in getting him over, but now, once he's already there, he doesn't need it. He's good enough to get over on just his in-ring ability, and on top of that he has Vickie as his manager. He's not going to fade, especially because he's getting good heat, and he got a World Championship rub from Edge. Like it or not, he's going to stay, with or without the hair. At this point, if he was reliant on the hair, it's more of a crutch than anything else. He has a good look with the shorter hair, it's more serious. If anything, it could signal a minor gimmick change, maybe even a push. This is a good thing.

Eh. Not a really big fan of it. He looks too... I dunno... generic. I thought his bleached blond hair really set him apart from the rest of the roster and made him look unique.

I couldn't agree more. But his new look makes him look like he can be taken more seriously so it's not all bad

I remember walking into the room and seeing him doing his entrance and my first thought was "Is Lance Storm back?"

Honestly, and it's been said before, but his look is what made him him. He was the Dolph Ziggler character. Now he is just Nick Nemeth using a different name.
