Dolph Ziggler???

Is there anyone that can someone named Dolph ziggler seriously? Aside from his name he seems solid he was in the spirit squad (not sure if that's good or bad). I'm just wondering when is he going to wrestle a match. I know he was suspended, but he's not anymore so I think he should wrestle.
Some possible feuds going by he seems to be face are: heel HBK hopefully this will get him over, Santino he could start out dissing the Honk-a-Meter and the fact he didn't beat HTM's reccord, and last but not least William Regal this could send them both to the top.

The guy most likely will be pushed down and wrestle with people like D lo brown first. Then, then he might be put in a program with Santino and the Glamazon. In fact if he is in the program, that might push him up a little bit, and if WWE decided to utilize him well in the next few years, he might be a main eventer.

But the name dolph ziggler, comeon..

Do you honestly think they would have given the guy a name like Dolph Ziggler if they wanted you to take him seriously? common really?, the guy will be nothing more than a jobber comedy act, I doubt we see him in any real feuds, especially if the dumbass is just coming off a suspension, a suspension the guy got before his career was really able to begin, and I highly doubt the guy will ever reach the ME, I mean christ Kung Fu Naki has a better chance at maineventing than this douche

This Dolph Ziggler name and gimmick is stupid, when he was around Smackdown they made him look like he was suckign up to people by trying to shake everyones hands. The gimmick is just wierd, whats he going to do? Job for the rest of his life? We have'nt seen the guy wrestle yet but we know he'll be crap. WWE builds up these new guys so much and then they wrestle and then they are jobbers for life.

Even though i have'nt seen the guy wrestle i have pre concieved notions which are'nt good. Ziggler just does'nt seem right, it like he isn't fitting in and i personally would be surprised if he could wrestle well. What was going on with him on RAW with the Shawn Michaels, Mysterio and Ziggler segment? Ziggler was just standing there like a lemon, at least let this guy make an impression. Maybe they should let Ziggler do something we would'nt expect like beat up Michaels or something shocking.

I can actually see a Ziggler Michaels feud somewhere along the line, maybe if he did what i suggested and beat Michaels up that would start of a good feud. Michaels can make anyone look good so if Ziggler turns out be crap then they'll still have good matches.

I can't see Ziggler "dissing" out Santino and the Honk-A-Meter can you? That angle with Santino and the HTM has slowly fizzled out and if Ziggler of creative brang that up again it would just ruin what before was a great storyline. A possibility would be for Ziggler to team up with Beth Phoenix and try to find out who Santino is speaking to on those mobile phonecalls he does (segments during RAW) that would be a intresting storyline and then if Santino is talking to another women or say maria, Beth could order Ziggler to beat up Santino. Sounds far-fetched but anything would do for Ziggler.

Regal vs Ziggler? You sure? That'll never ever work, we have'nt even seen Ziggler wrestle and yet the OP's saying he should be in a feud with possibly the best wrestler on the RAW roster.....Intresting, i can't see any feud happening unless ziggler were to sleep with Layla and Regal wanted revenge

Just y opinions based on what the thread starter said but i don't think there is much hope for Dolph Ziggler in the WWE, he'll just be an established jobber before long.

I'm pretty surprised they brought back Ziggler after his suspension. He does have a good look but the whole introducing himself gimmick is goofy. I doubt a push is on the cards, its more likely that he will be a time filler on Raw, maybe a feud with Haas or Santino but definitely a comedy feud. As justinsayne said, how could a guy named Dolph Ziggler be taken seriously? A feud with HBK is not likely, simply because HBK is nearing the end of his career and a feud with some goofy comedy guy would not look good for his reputation.

The thing is, Vince likes people who can do promos well. Look at Kungfunaki, the guy's been with the business for quite a flippin while, and he's still an undercard/jobber. He's not good at promos, they don't want him to be up there.

Dolph Ziggler? We haven't seen him DO any promos. We don't know what he is like with those things, he may suck like Funaki, or may well be another good promoter.

I'm not wanting to cut Ziggler down, I'm all for giving him a chance to prove himself, so its just a case of waiting until he gets put in a match.
With the whole shaking hands and introducing himself, he does sound like a goofy suck up with a cheesy smile. It kinda reminds me a little of Symon Dean.
Which i suppose you know what i'm going to say next.... Jobber material for sure. Although it would be interesting to see how he acts in the ring, i'm expecting some OTT posing and nothing more than a basic moveset. Like that tag team that used to oil themselves up. *shudder*.

I saw him wrestle in a dark match against D-lo Brown when Raw came to Minneapolis. He got some heat but most of the heat came from WWE's decision to give Dolph Ziggler the win and not Dolph Ziggler creating the heat. The reason I believe this is because during the match I heard a lot of "who are you?" chants After he beat D-Lo he got on the mic and said "the name again is Dolph Ziggler". I can see him as a basic, mid to low card wrestler.

He looked solid in his match with Batista, I didn't expect him to win, but at least he didnt get squashed. I think that the gimmick can work. Let's see what's next for Dolph Ziggler

mr 619 is right. I thought he would win just to get him over but his gimmick is going to work. This reminded me of john cenas first match. when he facest angle. it was like holy crap he is gonna win then a o crap i was wrong type thing. never the less he needs a haircut.

On monday he did a decent job. I dont think he got much offense in but Im sure most people thought it would be a much quicker match. Dolph got some offense in and showed what he can do He may have a future yet.

His stupid name is gonna be the beginning of his end. They seriously could not have come up with a better name than this? How about naming him by his real name and then giving him soem sort of personality. I truly believe that this character is doomed because he has only done stupid comedy sketches and got killed by Batista. He has not had the best start for a superstar that wants to get over.

You guys can't expect him to amount to ANYTHING with a name like Dolph Ziggler, right? You're foolish if you think any different. It's silly.

I like his gimmick, look, ability.. But I can't get past the name.. Can you hear.. 'And now, your Intercontinental Champion... Dolph Ziggler!' no. You can't. It's rediculous. He'll be gone soon.

Dolph Ziggler impressed me in his first match live on Raw. I was expecting a total squash when I found out he was facing Batista. But the guy got a bit of offence in which was nice to see. The guy seems to have potential. I like his look, mic skills and his wrestling ability. Sure he hasn't really cut a proper promo yet, but he seems to be getting over with the fans already which is nice to see. Losing to Batista just didn't help anyone, but John Cena lost to Kurt Angle in his first match and look where he is now.

I see people already saying this guy has no chance of making it big simply because of his rather odd ring name. Seriously, since when has the name of a superstar ever determined how far they will go in the industry? There's a 12 time WWE Champion who has a rather odd ring name, he's called Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Yeah, I never thought I'd hear that name be called out in the same sentence as 'WWE Champion' either but look where he is now.

Many people are jumping to conclusions here. The guy wrestled a good match for his first televised match against a main eventer and even got a few moves of offence in. The guy seems to have talent, and personally I like his name bascially because it's unique. CM Punk is a unique name, but that didn't stop him from becoming a World Champion. Names mean hardly anything in the WWE, so I can only see Ziggler improving to hopefully become a decent mid-carder by this time next year.

Thank you, Rusty. I agree with you 100%.

I remember Dolph fondly from his early days not only in the Spirit Squad but as the caddy of Kerwin White -- a gimmick that lasted merely a week, was it? I am not sure how many others were fans of Nick Nemeth when he first appeared, and then when he was lost in the shuffle of the SS (haha) -- but now he has a solid opportunity to make something of himself.

I was impressed with his match with Batista on Raw. I was impressed with his brief segments of introducing himself -- Dolph Ziggler is a unique name, and is far from the oddest names on the list of the WWE Roster. He has the look, and if he is given the chance, I am sure he can deliver on the mic. He has potential and if given the right opportunity, like many stars before him, he can be a success.

I sincerely hope that the WWE does not bury Nicky, and that he does not fuck up again and get suspended. If they brought him back, the company is clearly "high" on him, so he has been given a second chance. I do not believe, however, that there will be a third.

As dumb as this guy's gimmick is, he impressed me in his match on Monday. He got in some good offense and more than held his own for a brief time against someone who has far more experience than he does in this enviroment. Also, I like the way they're using his name as a method of taunting. It's something that works so easily to get heat yet is very effective. While I don't see really that much out of him long term, he should be fun for about 5 months or so, until he gets cut. Granted it's always possible that he could get a decent little heel push which wouldn't bother me a bit. Not crazy about his look, but he could be someone to watch.
