I just read an article the other day about Vince not been happy with the way the draft had turned out. and he's not happy with some of the superstar's been on this show, but when the creative team arte talking about which wrestler would go to this show ( Raw or Smackdown) doesn't the last word and the decision making go to vince to get the approval, so my question is does vince really and truely know's what he wants or is it all just in his head???.

Your Thoughts please Thank :lmao:

I really think he either lost his ability to plan ahead for the majority of the roster years ago or he simply stopped caring about anyone who isn't main event. It's a fair point though, everything that happens goes through Vince and Vince is never happy with what happens.

Ever heard of unforeseen circumstances? oh, wait, u must have, because it was specifically mentioned in that article that a major part of his unhappiness was due to Morrisons injury which was thought to be more severe than it turned out. That left them a little shorter of faces on Raw than he wanted hence the reason for the mix ups.

Vince knows exactly what he wants, to make money, unfortunately thats not an exact science. Societies change, trends change and the company has to try and change with that. They have brought back Tough Enough which many people (me included) see as a huge success so far. The Miz has undoubtedly been a huge success. Jericho going on DWTS has gotten them tremendous exposure and Jericho alluded to in his recent interview. What do these all have in common? Reality TV. It became popular, Vince took advantage.

The Rocks return has clearly altered the landscape of the Main Event as now everything Cena does is in essence to promote next years Mania. Whether Cena will have the title at that point probably hasnt been decided but u can guarantee their trying to find the next person to step up to the Mania title picture if Cena isnt involved.

So yes, Vince knows exactly what he wants, but the journey is not as clear as the destination. It never has been, never will be. Has he lost it? No, in my opinion he is every bit as good as he once was. Hes struck gold in the past with the Attitude Era, hes struck gold now with the PG Era, both for differing reasons but the future looks very rosy from where im sat.

It's funny to read some of the complaints because as the draft was unfolding I was sitting there thinking, "Wait, who are the heels going to be on Smackdown?" and, "Wait, who are the faces going to be on Raw?" And now, some time later Vince is just now thinking about it. I mean...really? Is he losing it? It was absolutely foreseeable yet he didn't foresee it. And the thing about taking "wrestling" out of the WWE name. Why does he think people tune in? To hear John Cena talk? No, to wrestle. Some very irrational decisions lately by Vince.

It seems that the IWC's opinion about McMahon's effectiveness will always be divided. Some folks say he knows what he's doing; others insist he doesn't. Fine.

One of the problems in the whole equation stems from the Attitude Era. People look at the all-too-brief TV rating at it's apex (8.5?) and seem to presume that anything short of it means that WWE is now a failure.....and has been since that time.

Vince knows better. He's aware that those days were a once-in-a-lifetime blend of circumstances that will probably never be repeated. In other words, it was a time when it was considered "cool" to watch wrestling even if you weren't a wrestling fan. WWE managed to (briefly) capture that large group of people who were anxious to identify with any large mass movement and whose very lives consist of "going along with the crowd." At that time, the "crowd" was watching Stone Cold Steve Austin & friends, so that's what they were going to do, too.

Vince knew he wasn't going to hold onto these people forever; they'd soon find another trend to latch onto. He knew that what he needed to do was hold onto the true wrestling fans......and he's done that. The TV ratings in the 3.0 to 4.0 range are his audience and he's done a masterful job of keeping those people in the fold, even the ones who claim to detest everything he's doing.

-Could Vince curb his rage a little?.....Sure, and he probably should.

-Does he listen to the group of talented people he's hired to advise him?....It's debatable. From what we read, he seems to spend a lot of time screaming at them, but I'd like to think he still considers their input before making his own decision. Or, maybe he wants a group of yes-men around him, echoing his opinions. Who knows?

No, I don't think McMahon has lost his touch, but at his age, it would sure be interesting to see what his daughter and son-in-law could do with the whole mess if he retired.

C'mon, Triple H! .....Pedigree the chairman and run with the ball.

Why can't he just let Evan Bourne step up and take Morrison's place?

Because he isn't a big roid-up monster. Look we all know that Evan Bourne is good in the ring (more than the WWE lets us see) ,but Mcmahon doesn't care about wrestling ability (yeah thats right WWE i said wrestling). All he cares about is money, money and more money, thats the reason we see that no talent hack (in my opinion) Cena as WWE champion on Raw all the time:banghead:.

Unforeseen circumstances? That's like a baseball team playing with 9 players and HOPING nobody gets injured.

What's worse is that this is not even baseball. This is wrestling!! Injures are way to frequent to not have a backup plan. It was a rushed, very badly planned draft.

At the end of the day, Vince knows what he wants, but:

1. He doesn't accept what the fans want.
2. He no longer wants to take risks.

This has translated into a lackluster promotion compared to the years past. We are bored now of seeing the same thing over and over again. It seems like both Vince and the creative team are being very lazy.

I think its funny that you say Bourne is so good in the ring (more than the WWE lets us see) but then you call Cena a not talent hack. Cena is 100 times better in ring then what WWE lets him display. I hate when people come on here and say how AWESOME Punk, Daniel Bryan, Bourne, and others are if only WWE would let them wrestle "their indy style" or whatever. It doesn't just go one way. John Cena can out wrestle his current character. I hae seen matches with him from OVW or UPW where the guy does moves he would never even try in WWE ring.

Look at Stone Cold. The guy was a phenomenal wrestler as Stunning Steve Austin. By the time the Stone Cold character was hot he was a punch, kick and 5 move pony.

But back to the original point of the thread. I think Vince knows exactly what he wants. But its a matter of geling his idea with what the fans will buy into. Its all a matter of throwing it up against the wall and seeing what sticks.
