Do You Clean Out Your Ears With Q-Tips?

I do, although I hear that it is bad for your ears. Hopefully I won't have problems with my ears later on. All I can is that swirling a Q-Tip in the beginning of your ear canal is pretty much orgasmic.

I always hated it when my mother cleaned out my ears...I remember going to the doctor to get the earwax washed out...That was awesome

I did, still do, even though I had the unfortunate experience of a store-branded q-tip
s cotton getting stuck in my ear. That's freakin' dedication.

One time in grade school I got an eraser stuck in my ear. It was small and stuck way back in the canal. I told my mom and she must have thought I was kidding, because she didn't do shit about it and forgot. I figured that it couldn't be that important if she brushed me off like that so I forgot as well. A few years later a doctor sees it and blasts it out with a water gun like syringe.

.......

I relate to this fully.

What you and he, both, said.

But I have had issues with cleaning my ears with Q-Tips. So much so, that I apparently almost ruptured an ear drum. I used to use about 2-3 Q-Tips per ear. (as many as needed, to clean out all the wax) And I'd jam them in, (one at a time) swirl them, get that orgasmic feeling, and never want to stop. It's like it's tickling your brain and you just want more.

Well, long story short. I did it too much, to the point of causing my ear to bleed and I had muffled hearing for about two days there-after. I went to the Hospital, explained my situation.. and they told me to never stick Q-Tips in my ear.

Now the stupidity of that statement.

In order to "clean" my ears "properly".. they stick something that resembles what a tooth-pick and an ice scraper's baby would look like. Sharp, curved, small.. and painful. Yet it was the "proper" way to do it. :headscratch: I guess having "MD" attached to your name pretty much made anything you felt right.. "proper", despite the hard plastic stick I used with a cotton-soft end to it.

Anywho.. be careful when cleaning your ears. Now, I usually run hot water in my ear, then lean to drain it out. Wax melts incredibly fast in the shower, or so I've been told. I haven't had any issues since learning to do this.
