Dixie's new partnership...

Jimmy King

Future Moderater
is what I think her tweets were about. She kept hyping up a big change in TNA.

The partnership I'm talking about is the one between TNA and TMZ. TMZ makes waves throughout the pop-culture/watercooler circles. TMZ were first there reporting Hogan's "back surgery." Then, tonight, they follow The Shore and ask them scripted questions about JWoww.

Could this help or hurt TNA? Do you think that this is what Dixie was excited about?

I mean it could only help TNA, any spotlight is good spotlight for them right now especially if it includes one of the higher rated shows currently on TV right now.

I think TNA should work out one of their wrestlers appearing on Jersey Shore to advance the storylines but that'd cost a lot. Not sure where all of this is headed but I don't see how this could hurt TNA in the long run as I see this Jwow stuff as a short term thing.

Its only good. It also makes sence for The Shore gimmick. TNA planning a story which is good for the company is something we dont see very often. TNA have a great oppertunity so hopefully they dont drop it.

That might be the change but I'm not sure Dixie always hypes stuff up that never happens, I just hope this time something actually does happen, I don't mind the Shore's gimmick, but Jersey Shore looks like total shit, I haven't watched it before and I never intend to, and with the Jeff Hardy Interview it looks like TNA is finally getting the media attention they deserve.

I completely agree... but some of the fans are not even giving it a chance. I've been saying this for weeks, BOO the SHORE as heels... but the BORING chants need to stop.

Imagine I'm new to wrestling... I just learned about TNA while watching TMZ. I then go to Spike and the SHORE is coming up next. I'm all exciting because of this. After all, that's one of the reasons I'm watching now, right? But as soon as they get to the RING, all I hear is BORING from some fans... What a TURN OFF. What a disappointment. Why should I start watching TNA and its product if "fans" find it BORING?!? Why should I waste my time?

It's all about first impressions. TNA feels like this is the right direction, and I think it is working. But fans are ruin it. They want TNA to succeed, but they don't let TNA do their work. Basically TNA fans are TNA's worst enemy. They are hard to please... and bash everything that they don't like. Well, that's bad! Then you hear them here complaining or *****ing about it... that TNA sucks, that they cannot beat WWE, that the numbers are down, that PPV buy rates are low... Well, then SUPPORT TNA and STOP making them look like FOOLS!!!

I want TNA to succeed, and if this is the way to go then DO IT. We should be more supportive. So BOO SHORE because they are heels... but stop the bullying and stupidity and just go with TNA's flow. Let it be!!! Don't fight it!

I could only see this help TNA's current status. I hope they find more ways to potentially get there name out there through popular media productions. Plus I believe TMZ is mostly watched by the teens and young adults which is the perfect show to help spread the name. I wish in the future they could get another storyline that crosses the boundaries outside the walls of the wrestling arena. It seems to be a good way to cross reality and kayfabe which is what seems to be one of TNA's main goals lately.

On a side note people need to just accept The Shore as heels. It ruins the flow of the show when a boring chant extends over the crowd. There has been far worst gimmicks in tna a la sharkboy and curryman. Do people realize that the shore has garnered the most media attention since Hulk Hogans arrival. They are possibly the best thing to happen to tna this year as far as exposure and all people do is bash them because they resemeble something that they dont like. Stop the boring chants...they dont help the business, the shore is staying weather you like it or not because they made tna mainstream even if its on the lowest level.

It's easy to make boring chant stop (mind you I've never been in a ring but I've seen other performer doing it). All you have to do is saying something like "Boring, yeah that's what your wifes are saying to describe your performance in the bed" or something else like "Boring?!? Are you kidding me, you're just jealous because you're fat and you don't have a good looking body like me"... anyway you get it I'm sure. If the fans boos you they don't chant boring.

But the boring chant at the very beginning of the match were pretty dumb. But to be honest yesterday was one of the worst TNA crowd in a while. They couldn't shut the .... up for 2 seconds. They were always chanting something one after another trying to get themselves over the product. It's like they were thinking what to chant next before they even had finished the current chant.

So I think the TNa fans should realise that the Shore will bring mainstream publicity to the federation and should threat them better.

Back on the topic creator post, I too notice that about TMZ and was wondering if it was a fake TMZ scene or really a TMZ scene. I really hope they continue, some people were talking about kaybafe but TNA with their "documentary" reaction and some of those interviews comes out as more legit than the WWE ever did in a while and I think it's good even if some people will roll eye when seeing this.

I agree with you here. I don't think there is anything more annoying than the ignorant ass Impact zone fans who chant shit when im trying to enjoy the show. It seems that the Shore gimmick is here to stay, at least for the time being so grow up and get used to it. Boo them if you don't like them, but the boring chants are pretty ******ed.

And if there were some kind of partnership between TNA and TMZ it could only be positive for TNA. Even if they were writing bad stuff about TNA Wrestling TMZ is still helping get their name out there.

Why am I getting the feeling that there is a new "partner". I remember hearing about a new wrestling group being started in NY with I believe The Mets owner. Is it at all possible that the group is part of the "Immortal" storyline with in January Dixie "joins" this new group. Essentially creating what Vince originally expected the Brand Split to be?

I hope not TMZ are a bunch of bottom feeders, they wont do much to help TNA in the long run. As far as Dixies tweets go i've learned to ignore them due to them being a letdown most of the time

I couldn't agree more the above post. TMZ are the worst of the worst. These are the guys that you see running after celebrities asking the most ridiculous questions.

Anything that TMZ says, should be checked and then re-checked. More often than not it's sensationalized garbage.

If Dixie does have a new partner, I would be shocked if TMZ is the first to know. More than likely they would be the last.
