Any match with Douglas Williams is going to be great, so I couldn't care if his mystery opponent was Rikishi. I'm attempting to think of someone who Doug feuded with in the past who isn't booked to face him. I got nobody immediately coming to mind.

Well considering they just had problems with Lax I could see Anarquia or even Hernandez or even a suprise return by Homicide to rejoin LAX

I was going to say Desmond as well. In (a useless) fact, this was the first thread I found talking about the PPV after googling, and this thread convinced me to sign up just so I could say that Desmond Wolfe would be the perfect candidate

How about a returning Desmond Wolfe?

He has Hepetitas C, Nigel McGuinness can't compete for well over two years and that's only if it hasn't affected his liver in a detrimental fashion. Therefore, McGuinness won't be involved.

What's Elix Skipper at? That dude had a hand in creating the X-Division.

Anyone think Chavo found a way to get out of the 90 day no compete clause? It would make sense.

Maybe "The Hurricane" Shame Helms finally crossed the line...

I'm iffy on him coming to Impact Wrestling, though if he could someone play a version of The Hurricane I'd like it more... no joke.. an evil heel Hurricane would be pretty cool to see run through the X-Divison.

It's probably just someone already in Impact Wrestling though. Hernandez? To further thee feud? That or someone Doug Williams didn't quite finish up business with in recent months..

As much as I'd like to see a big return(ex. Petey Williams, man i miss him) or a huge debut, TNA will most likely drop the ball on this one and give us Anarquia or Orlando Jordon...

90% sure its Petey Williams. I have him on fb and he has said he wants to be apart of it and teased him appearing. I just dont see with how big TNA is going for X guys and overlooking Petey(who still has friends backstage and in interviews has said is still on great terms with everyone). I just dont see them doing a let down

i have no idea who the mystery opponet will be sense this ppv is all about the x division dont get why doug even has a match? but oh well anyway id like to see Max Buck be the mystery opponet or Jeremy Buck neither of these guys is booked for the ppv yet so why not put 1 of them in this match? bottom line is id like to see Max Buck be the mystery opponet and beat him here

I'm thinking there'll be several people, all of the x-division that isn't being used, competing in this match. Similarly to the cruiserweight open matches that were held in WWE a few years back for the title. This way it gives the fans a chance to see some x-division people that they were hoping would make it on to the card.

You do realize Doug competed in the 2008 World X Cup(which is how he got a job pretty much) and also held the X-Division Title for quite some time right?

Depending on the opponent this could be the match of the night. Doug Williams has the in-ring ability to pull himself out of the midcard and given the right opponent here this could steal the show. He won't be going over them if they are part of the roster though.

Doug Williams is usually pretty good so, if given the right opponent, this should be a good match.

As for who that opponent will be, I have a few guesses. I think it is most likely to be one of the Bucks, they are the only X Division wrestlers on the roster who are not currently in a match on the show so I think they are most likely. They did say on their twitter account they were booked for a tag match on the show so that could put an end to that theory. They did also say they didn't know their opponents for said match yet so it is possible the tag match plans have changed.

If not him though I think there is at least a slight chance it could be Kurt Angle, after all he is a former X Division champ and these two would certainly put on one hell of a match considering both guys are great in the ring. However I think if it was Kurt Angle he would have been announced on Impact, Angle is a big star and if you are going to have him wrestle on PPV you want it announced beforehand because that could easily boost the PPV buys.

If not one of those three though then I am not sure who. Perhaps one of the nine guys who lost in the X Division qualifiers. Maybe Jack Evans tag partner Extreme Tiger TNA do have a good relationship with AAA afterall. Not very likely but maybe someone like a Prince Devitt, Kota Ibushi, Taguchi, Liger or some other NJPW Junior Heavyweight, TNA also has a working NJPW as well. This would be a huge stretch (and a really dumb move) but maybe Jeff Hardy, he does wrestle a very high flying X Division after all, highly unlikely given the recent troubles he has had and I really hope it isn't the case but TNA has done dumber things in the past.

Interesting that that everyone is picking the mystery opponent to win...which is pretty stupid unless TNA plans to rehire the guy its a joke. Kinda like how Macho Jay Lethal kept losing to the legends like Jim the Anvil and Tatanka (and then beat Flair)

I don't know what he is up to, but how awesome if Billy Kidman showed up. I don't know why he doesn't have a job.

Kidman won't be showing up, he's spent the last few years as a trainer for FCW, hasn't he?

Regardless of the opponent here I''d like to see the Brit go over.

Why hasn't anyone said Jay Lethal???

Didn't these two fued over the X Title? and Lethal has said online that it was planned for him to work the PPV, then they pulled him...

Maybe he was just saying that to make it more of a surprise when he showed up at the PPV...

If it's not him, I'd like to see Homicide return...

If it's someone on the roster, I think it should be Eric Young... I think if he went into the match in serious mode, they could put on a damn good match...

I also like the Idea of a bunch of guys answering the challenge... Maybe Ey, Bucks, Shangrei (Red), Suicide, and whoever else isn't booked...

I can agree with you on Lethal. He's a good worker, and he's good at not giving things away. I read an interview the other day about how he's no longer associated with TNA whatsoever, and how he only currently signed for one promotion. He never mentioned anything about being the masked J.R. Lethal on that TNA Wheels Wrestling, despite having already taped the first few episodes. So he's good at keeping secrets.

I know this bad to say but I hope the mystery person end up winning this match. Douglas is a great wrestler but not really an X-Division star. You might as well go ahead and add Eric Young onto this PPV while we got Douglas. I don't this match won't go well but it would be interesting if Homicide end up coming back for one night. Which will continue the feud with British Invasion and Mexican America. That would be interesting.

As of who will except this challenge can be just about any body. I would rather just wait and see then actual guess.

I'm Really Interested in this match and who the Mystery Opponent is, there are so many Wrestlers that I would like to see be the guy that it would take to long to list. Depending who is chosen I think that the match will range between a Good match or an Excellent match. Douglas Williams is fantastic in the ring and I haven't seen one bad match from this guy yet. If the person is someone TNA is interested in signing long term or has already signed then I would have the Mystery Opponent win the match, if its just a one time thing then I would have Douglas Williams win the match. I expecting to this to be a Very Good match.
