Deflate Gate....Really?!?

WHich also was horse shit.

Just because they are a private investiagtion doesnt mean they arent subject to criticism.

and the fact they are not a coutr of law only re-enforces how fucking ridiculous it is to ask for peoples cell phones so you can go through them for "evidence" I would have told that league rep to kindly suck my fucking dick in regards to that demand

That's why they have the NFLPA, and they sure as hell aren't going to let this fight end easily. Their player's union is nowhere near as strong or powerful as baseball's, but it's damn up there.

How about the agreed(by the CBA) top level fine on a team is 500K , so they broke it up into "500k for cheating, 500K for not cooperating" for a 1 million dollar fine. So in the future we can do 15 different 500K fines for crimes, not cooperating, being mean, etc.

also apparently a portion of Brady's suspension was because he didn't fully cooperate, which included surrendering his cell phone to investigators.

SURRENDERING HIS CELL PHONE TO INVESTIGATORS

Just who the MOTHERFUCK do they think they are? Oh, you didn't manage to see a video tape that was sent to your league fucking office, but Brady is punished because he didn't give you his personal cell phone to go through? Are you fucking insane?

Greg Hardy, another fine example. Now the NFL makes go to the filthy business of defending a possible abuser.....but he got convicted, appealed, and then won the appeal. So he isn't convicted of anything.

Even if he WAS, suspension for first time offender is 7 games.

So

NFL suspends him ten games. Because fuck logic, that's why

The NFL and Goodell wanted to flex their muscle and PUNISH those darn Patriots for.....well....they think they may have done it, but they're not sure....

But hey they will suspend Brady 4 games for not giving them his cell phone even though they have no authority to take it, and Ray Rice initially gets a 2 game suspension because they didn't actually see him hit his fiance.

I love how people are crying though saying that in a court trial the Patriots would be found innocent. First of all you're not found innocent in a court trial, you're found not guilty. And yes if this were in a criminal trial the Patriots would be found not guilty.

However this is not a criminal crime. So if we want to make a comparison to the US Justice System, it would be more in the category of a civil crime. Which all you need to be found guilty is the for the other person to be right 51%. It's the burden of proof. So them crying about the choice of words "More than probable" is a waste of tears. Ask OJ all about this.

So on top of that this isn't even a trial we're talking about. This is the NFL, a private company. The fact that they're being as fair as possible about this is a blessing to the Patriots not a burden.

This is not fair. In no way is this fair. Again:

They are severely punishing the Patriots because this MAY have happened, not because it DID happen.

Anybody remember the movie Casino? Remember Artie Piscano? The one Joe Pesci said could fuck up a cup of coffee. That's Roger Goodell.

Don't feed me that Roger Goodell hates the Patriots crap. The dude was having dinner at Robert Kraft's house that same night. The Patriots are his favorite team. He swept the whole Spygate scandal under the rug with him.

After the Ray Rice situation, Roger Goodell no longer has any involvement with punishments. Instead he handles the appeals, just like he is doing here.

And I would not be surprised if he gives his favorite team a break and cuts the suspension in half. That or he throws them under the bus and withholds the suspension just to prove to people he is not bias towards Kraft and the Patriots.

Yea. This has the feeling of something that will go to for realizes court, and the NFL may end up with some problems

Brady's probably taking it there if he doesn't get his suspension fully overturned anyways. It really puts them in a horrible spot...if they overturn the suspension everyone, including me, is going to say it's ridiculous. If they don't Brady sues them.

Of course the NFL has their own powerhouse law team and they will be just as much willing to fight as the Patriots are, so it'll be a slobberknocker that's for sure.

From what I heard, if it does go to actual court Brady would actually have to turn over his cell phone which could give some clarity into this case. I don't know if they'd want to go that deep into it.

Yeah I was going to mention that. They did it, we all know they did it. And all the matter now is that we don't have enough evidence to prove they 100% did it, just a bunch of circumstantial stuff.

First of all circumstantial stuff holds a lot more weight in lawsuits than it does in a murder trial, people still aren't grasping this. All the NFL has to do is prove they are 51% more right than Brady at 49%. Second, the fact that you're making this a legal matter now allows for anything like that to be subpoenaed. While search warrants cannot be issued, subpoenas can and will very much be issued.

What the Patriots have will not hold up in court against what the NFL has. They hired an external investigator to put together a report that took months, which clearly had enough to incriminate the Patriots and the face of the NFL. And they were just doing this for the sake of the league...if they're being sued in a lawsuit, they are going to play a lot harder.

If Brady gets a break from Goodell and gets his suspension cut to two, even three games...he should take his chips and cash out. Because if I were the NFL and he sued me after that, I would then enforce yet another punishment on him.

Don't feed me that Roger Goodell hates the Patriots crap. The dude was having dinner at Robert Kraft's house that same night. The Patriots are his favorite team.

When did I ever say Goodell hates the Patriots? He is a FUCK UP. For the record, he is a Jets fan.

He swept the whole Spygate scandal under the rug with him.
Yeah after he fined the Patriots and Belichick close to a million dollars and took away a 1st round draft pick.

After the Ray Rice situation, Roger Goodell no longer has any involvement with punishments. Instead he handles the appeals, just like he is doing here.

Come on man....

Or it could be because the NFL went overboard with the punishments and now have a major fight on their hands against the top franchise in the NFL.

"They may have underinflated footballs during a game where they beat the shit out of the Colts 45-7."

"Fine them a million dollars, take away draft picks, and suspend Brady 4 games for not giving us his cell phone."

Uh-huh...that's how it went down.

They obviously showed Kraft how much evidence they really have and that they aren't winning the fight.

Kraft wouldn't have backed down otherwise. He went from going on about how innocent they are and will fight it to the end, to all of q sudden backing down after a secret closed door meeting with his buddy Roger.

Rog was probably like look I can't help you guys here. They got us...I can cut Tom's suspension in half, but that's it. And Kraft was like okay fine.
