Batman's obviously been around longer; but it's 2011, Harry Potter reigns supreme.
Most of the original Batman fans are fucking dead.

Yes he is as well known. He is an cultural icon but he still does not have the mass appeal world wide of Potter, I hate saying that as Batman > Potter, but I am also a realist. So its true I will gladly take a bet with anyone here on betting HP:Finale will outgross Nolan Batman.

I bet overall, as in, domestic, overseas, opening weekend. If someone wants to go on a bet its first come first serve, but to make it easy I would take the bet on opening day, as thats easier then waiting till theres a total gross after both movies come and go.Opening weekend? All time? First year? First month?
To say that no one cares about Batman or that he doesn't have mass appeal is crazy.
Not at all. To doubt Batman's drawing power is out right dumb, actually ******ed. I just sadly feel, well not sadly as I like Harry Potter also, that due to this finale having come from a much more extensive series of movies, having a larger age group, larger appeal overseas, that Harry Potter will take out Batman. To say that no one cares about Batman or that he doesn't have mass appeal is crazy.
Nobody said that.

I was wondering the same thing as I was typing my last reply ''/Wait... how the fuck did this turn into a pissing contest between DK fans & HP fans?

Hell, SNS, even you said that Potter was reigned supreme when the box offices have shown other wise.
It is not fair... Batman Begins -> $371,853,783 (Worldwide)
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone -> $976,475,550 (Worldwide)
The Dark Knight (one of the best movies ever) -> $1,001,921,825 (worldwide)
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets -> $876,688,482 (Worldwide)
Let me make the math here...
DK = $1,373,775,608 - Pretty good
HP 1 & 2= $1,853,164,032 - A little better don't you think??
Shall we look into ever Batman Movie ever made??
Batman (1989) - $411,348,924 (Worldwide)
Batman Returns (1992) - $282,800,000 (Worldwide)
Batman Forever - (1996) - $336,531,112 (Worldwide)
Batman & Robin - (1997) - 130,000,000 (Worldwide)
Now every HP ever made
Harry Potter 3 - $761,300,818 (Worldwide)
Harry Potter 4 - $895,921,036 (Worldwide)
Harry Potter 5 - $938,212,738 (Worldwide) (only this one by himself beats the living hell out of the first 4 batman movies)
Harry Potter 6 - $933,959,197 (Worldwide)
Harry Potter 7 Part 1 - $954,501,070 (Worldwide)
yey Harry Potter wins I think :x
You're comparing Harry Potter movies to Batman movies that were made over a decade ago, when things were totally different, movie attendances in general never got anywhere close to where they are today, and the cost of tickets was substantially less that they are now, so yeah try again bitch
No it hasn't... Look to the post up your last one xD
In the end forget previous number. Harry potter is riding a bigger hype train for his finale then Batman. Batman fans will definitely be louder of there support, but in the end when the smoke bombs clear (see that batman reference, tehe) Harry Potter finale will have out grossed the Batman finale. Ill bet on it.
