Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus - WM28 for the WHC

Lacks true star power, but with Rock/Cena and HHH/Taker, you won't need more buys. Not sure how I feel about this match. I'd rather see Orton vs. DB, but I'm the biggest Orton mark on the planet, so go figure.

Like Nick said, this match has probably the least star power of all the matches announced and will probably open the show. Hope Sheamus wins. He has impressed me in the babyface role.

Orton will probably face Christian or Del Rio and represent Teddy Long in the process. I really hope it's Christian though.

Cool beans. It's a totally fresh outlook for a 'Mania main event. I just hope it doesn't get shunted into an opening match or *gulp* dark match. Again.

Why would Orton represent Teddy Long? And are we going to be subjected to another elimination tag match like the one that was a piece of shit at Survivor Series? Team Long vs Team Ace?

I don't know. WWE seems intent on pushing this Long vs Ace feud and it would be the best for everyone involved if they both chose representatives. I would have liked to see Orton/ Christian without those shenangians. Maybe with Christian being simply obsessed to defeat Orton once even without the title on the line to prove he is the better man.

Looks like a fairly straight-forward idea. Cowardly heel who just keeps on winning faces babyface beast who is just destroying everything left and right. Sheamus is about 95% certain to win, but that doesn't matter. The point is him killing Bryan and that works.

With all of the other 'star power' matches, I can more than stomach this one. You can feel a bit freer without the weight of expectation going into this one, and the two guys there have the ability and chance to go out and do one of the best matches of the night. It's when nobody is really watching is when they are most surprised when something really good happening, I see them as being in an almost advantageous position in that regard. They can go out there and not feel the pressure because most people (in total honesty) won't be getting the PPV to see this match, and that leaves them open to do some creative and imaginative ring work. Looking forward to it.

Both guys can bring it in the ring, and the build should be very nice too. Bryan's cowardice is only going to be amplified by Sheamus's warrior gimmick.

People keep on talking about how WWE needs to create main event Superstars. Pushing two guys with lots of potential is a good way to do that. WWE deserves credit for taking a risk like this. They really do.

I'm confused.

I want Sheamus to stand out in this match just because he's the fucking Royal Rumble winner and he needs to bring back the magic of winning that match. Nowadays, winning the Royal Rumble and winning a #1 contender match three weeks away from WM means the same thing. If you're the Royal Rumble winner, that means you are the ONLY ONE who deserves to face the champion. YOU. Nobody else.

But, on the other hand, it's a main event composed of two rising stars. A victory would help both of them, just like a loss would kill the momentum of the loser in question. Sheamus is on a roll and if he loses, he won't be on a roll anymore (heh). Therefore, all those Brogue Kicks, all those kicks in the arse and the victory at the Royal Rumble will become worthless. As far as D-Bry, he's finally cemented as a credible champion. No more Big Show, no more Elimination Chamber, he's ready for WM. He needs a victory to stablish himself as a force.

That's why Randy needs to be on the match. If Bryan loses, he'll share the defeat with someone.

Bryan needs to get killed. Pure and simple. They've built him up as a coward who wins all the time. Sheamus is exactly the sort of person who needs to end this run. Bryan won't look weak if he gets his ass kicked by an unstoppable warrior, which is how Sheamus has been built.

This match will probably get bumped off the card and be a dark match, like last year

It will be a nice turnaround. Last year was heel Sheamus vs. face Bryan. Flip that around. I'm excited.

It should be at the very least a good match.

They don't need a star powered WHC match with Rock vs. Cena and HHH vs. Taker III so why not experiment a little bit.

Should be a solid match, hope they get more than 10 minutes but I don't see any way they get more than 15 max.

How much time did Del Rio/Edge get? Same slot, same amount of time, or so I'd guess.

Edge/Del Rio got like 11 minutes. I hope Bryan and Sheamus get more than that, but if they do as much with it as Del Rio and Edge did I'll be happy-ish.

It's a World title match at Wrestlemania though. Should always get 15-20 minutes atleast.

I guess. Then again, they're competing with Undertaker/HHH and Rock/Cena, which, for my money, is the biggest WrestleMania double main event since Flair/Savage and Hogan/Sid at WM8. Oh, and we shouldn't forget about Jericho vs. Punk. Fifteen minutes, even for a WHC match, is going to be tough.

I don't really want a Championship match to open the show. Kinda demeans the whole Rumble win for the competitor.

There is so much hoopla over all the other matches, that is match will be nothing but good.
