Rise Up
The show begins with a recap of last weeks Main Event. Kurt Angle set a time of 10:12 against Batista, which JBL must beat to advance to Survivor Series. A small amount of pyro goes off as we get a shot of the fans. Now we slowly move around the arena, as Cole and Taz give the introductions.
Cole: Hello everybody and welcome to Friday Night Smackdown. On what will be a huge night, can JBL beat Batista hear tonight?
Taz: I wouldnt beat against him, with the Office by his side, JBL is the favourite.
Cole: Im not going to go with him, Batista is the man. He hasnt stood down since winning the title at WrestleMania, and tonight will be no different.
Taz: JBL has back up, Batista doesnt. How can he overcome those odds?
Cole: He will, just you wait and see.
Longhorn
A loud boo begins, as JBL makes his way to the ring. With the Office nowhere to be seen, as he enters the ring. A smirk is seen on the face of JBL, who will meet the World Champion here tonight.
JBL: Welcome to Friday Night Smackdown!
Small pop from the crowd.
JBL: What a wonderful day it is, because tonight I going to beat Batista.
The crowd now boo, not agreeing with him.
JBL: In just 9 short days, I become the NEW World Heavyweight Champion. That title is coming back to me, JBL.
Again the crowd boo.
JBL: You people pretend not to like the idea, when in your heart you want it. Each and every one of you want me as your Champion. You all need me as your Champion.
Booing even louder, they disagree with JBL.
JBL: For months Dave Batista has been carrying that Championship on his shoulder, thinking that it really belongs to him. It doesnt, that title should be on my shoulder. If it wasnt for the ref, than I would have been Champion at SummerSlam. I had the match won, if it wasnt for some slow count, than I would be World Champion.
A You Suck chant begins, as JBL stares out into the crowd.
JBL: You are the same people that chanted Rocky sucks at WrestleMania 18. Why should I care what you think?
The chant continues, with it getting louder.
JBL: If anyone sucks its that lacklustre roster I forced to share a locker room with. Each and every one of them couldnt even tie my shoes. They dont have enough talent to compete in the same ring as me!
Basic Thuganomics
A small cheer for John Cena, who walks out with his United States on his shoulder.
Cena: Wait, wait, wait a second. Did you just call me lacklustre? I must be mistaken, because you wouldnt do that would you JBL?
JBL: You heard right, everyone in the locker room is lacklustre compared to me.
Cena: Thats why I have a title and you dont.
Another small cheer from the crowd.
Cena: Oh and we heard, Im going to beat Batista at Survivor Series. Blah, blah, blah, who cares? If we want to talk about winning titles, well do we want to see footage of WrestleMania 21?
The crowd chant lets see it, as JBL shakes his head.
JBL: No we dont need to see it!
Cena: I think we do, how about it, cheer if you want to see the WWE Championship match from WrestleMania 21.
The whole crowd cheer, as Cena is ready to show the footage.
Cena: Yo, production crew throw the highlights of the WrestleMania 21 WWE Championship match on.

We can back from the highlights to see Cena with a smile on his face. Tapping the mic on his chin, while JBL is very embarrassed.
Cena: I guess you got beat, by how did you put it?
A short pause by John Cena.
Cena: Oh a lacklustre performer, and tonight, you get beat by another. Cha Ching!
Basic Thuganomics
This opening segment may have just pissed JBL off even more than he usually is. With JBL left standing in the ring, John Cena walks to the back. As we go to a commercial break.

Cole: We are back, to what has been a surprising start to Smackdown.
Taz: Yeah, we have Cena come out, and talk trash on JBL. Where was Batista?
Cole: I guess Cena got first dibs.
The Undertaker vs Kurt Angle
After what has been a very worrying week for Kurt Angle, after setting the time in the beat the clock sprint, Angle hasnt been able to think of anything else. While on the other hand, The Undertaker was called out by Mr Kennedy on RAW. After beating Undertaker last week, Ken Kennedy wishes to face off against the dead man again. The match begins with Angle and Taker locking up, struggling for just under a minute or so. They both test each other, both men know each other so well. After struggling by both men, Taker is able to deliver a swift right hand. Stunning Angle, sending him stepping backward. The two begin to trade blows, both hitting some good shots. After trying to sling Angle into the ropes, Taker is taken to the ground, where Angle dominates. The sprawl is on, as Angle goes for the ankle lock. The Undertaker senses trouble, as he begins to kick wildly. Just trying to get Angle away from his leg.
The two go for several more minutes, trade blows, with Angle focusing on the leg. He drops his weight into the leg multiple times, trying to gain the solid advantage. Both men stand up on their feet, with Angle leaning against the ropes. While Taker holds his leg, he is in pain. The gold medal winner rushes at Taker, going to a high impact move. We see Taker lifts his good leg up, delivering a bog boot. It knocks Angle, sending him stumbling backward. Then like a new life has come, Taker pounces on Angle. The hard right hands are delivered, each one connecting.
As was noted at the beginning of the match, both men know each other so well. After Taker went for old school, Angle was able to counter, and lock in the ankle lock. With nowhere to go, Taker for the first time EVER! Yelled in pain, the crowd were silent, in this history making moment. If I were Batista I would be very worried. In what seemed to be useless, Taker rolled forward, and was able, to the surprise of many, escape the hold. This sent Angle face first into the corner, his head hitting the turnbuckle. With Taker able to get to his feet, Angle was nailed with the Tombstone, and Taker gained the victory.
Winner: The Undertaker (by pinfall)
Once the match was over, Taker grabbed a microphone. With his eyes looking down at Angle, Taker was ready to address Ken Kennedy.
The Undertaker: Ken Kennedy, for the past week, you have taunted me. Saying you had beaten The Undertaker. Well allow me to tell you this, you have only beaten yourself. As I stand here, gaining a victory over Kurt Angle.
The crowd cheer, as Taker quickly tells them to ssshhh.
The Undertaker: You dare call me out, one of the darkest superstars in the WWE. It will be the anniversary of my debut at Survivor Series. And what better way to celebrate, than to take your soul!
The crowd once again cheer, at the thought of Kennedy being destroyed.
The Undertaker: Ken Kennedy, I accept your challenge. But know this, at Survivor Series; you will REST IN PEA-----
Turn up the Trouble
Well this guy has balls, out walks Ken Kennedy, who is chewing gum. With a microphone in this hand, he grabs in up to his lips.
Mr Kennedy: Ladies and Gentleman, in 9 days, this man you see standing in the ring. Will become a part of WWE history, when he is the first man to lose on PPV to MRRRRRRRRRRRRRR KENNNNNNNEEEEDDDDDYYYYYYY!!!!
The people say KENNEDY, who doesnt go well with the man himself.
Mr Kennedy: Taker, you say that you are going to take my soul. Well at Survivor Series, I take your legacy, and flush it down the toilet. But I dont just want to beat you, no, at Survivor Series we will be taking part in a match you made famous. A match that involves knocking your opponent out, so much that they can barely move. The match we will be having, is a CASKET MATCH!
The crowd go crazy, as Taker seems pleased about the news. Kennedy goes to walk about, but Taker calls him back.
The Undertaker: You have sealed your fate, Ken Kennedy, you will forever REST ..IN ..PEACE!
Turn up the Trouble
With Kennedys music playing the background, Taker begins to walk to the back, after setting up a huge match for the PPV.
The camera switches to the backstage arena, where we find Teddy Long and the Office (JBL, Orlando Jordan and The Bashams). As Teddy Long is doing paper work, JBL enters his office, with a smile on his face. The conversation begins, with JBL reminding Mr Long that this may be his last week with Smackdown. A look of distain comes over the face of Teddy, who has made it clear he cant stand JBL. He response by saying that he isnt going anywhere. Well it seems as if JBL disagrees, he is makes jokes about being unemployed. Yet again Long backs down, he just allows JBL to continue with the harassment. It soon gets physical as JBL grabs Long by the shirt, pulling him close. In a soft tone of voice, JBL reminds Long, that this is his show. And while Teddy may have the role of GM, the real manager of the show is JBL. As the Office leave, Teddy shows fear on his face, we then go to commercial.
Commercial
We come back from commercial, with Rise Up playing in the background. As Taz and Cole hype up Survivor Series which is coming your way in nine short days. With Taz putting over the Smackdown Main Event the most. Saying it will be a huge must see match.
Number One Contenders Match
Cruiserweight Championship
Rey Mysterio vs Paul London vs Chavo
This is what Smackdown is all about, fast paced action. Here we see high flying moves from all three men. With Rey Mysterio being the stand out. These three men had the crowd watching their every move, you couldnt blink. We saw multiple chances for all three men, however only one could come away with the win. That man was Rey Mysterio, who gained the victory. The finish cam when Mysterio nailed the 619 on Chavo, then delivered a frog splash. The three count was made, and Mysterio advanced to Survivor Series. After Mysterio made it to his feet, Nunzio rushed to the ring, and the attack was on. The huge boot of Nunzio was stomped into the head of Rey, knocking him down to the mat. While the fans booed, Nunzio lifted Rey up. Looking into his eyes Nunzio then dropped Rey down into the canvas with a DDT. While Mysterio was left laying down in the middle of the ring, Nunzio grabbed his title and walked to the back.
Winner: Rey Mysterio (by pinfall)
In the locker room of The Office, we find JBL giving a speech to his men. He reminds Danny Basham that he too has a match tonight, which he must win. If Danny loses than it makes the whole group look weak. As one half of the tag champions, Danny says tonight he will do it for the team. And even without his brother at ringisde, he can gain a victory for the Office. Pleasing JBL, Danny walks out of the locker room, as he match is next. While still inside, JBL turns his attention to Orlando Jordan. Yet again JBL reminds Jordan that while he doesnt have a match tonight, he can still represent the team. The order is given as Jordan will be at ringside in support his leader. With JBL still giving orders, the camera switches to John Cena.
With the camera now on John Cena, the crowd give a little pop. We see Cena standing, with his back to the camera. He slowly turns around, with the United States Championship around his waist.
Cena: Since the late 90s, I been watching him you Rob. From the rise to fame, to the fall in 2002. Ive seen Mr Monday Night, Mr PPV. ECW main man, the whole FN show, pretty lame show if you ask me.
Short pause by Cena.
Cena: While you battle legends, I watched on, wondering who the hell this guy is. You never came across to me as a wrestler, just a high payed stunt man. See Rob, unlike me, youre nothing more than a fad. A phase in which, people need to walk away. Rob at Survivor Series, you go from Mr PPV, to Mr I tapped out!
Unclipping his title, Cena raises it to eye level.
Cena: This right here, means I the man. It proves that when it comes time to put or shut up, Rob Van Dam shuts up. You have never won a World Championship here, I have. You are nothing more than a small fish, in MY Ocean.
Slowly he lowers his title, putting it back around his waist.
Cena: The network called, and come Survivor Series, the whole FN show is cancelled.
The shot ends, as Cena takes a seat to prepare for his match. Now back at ringside, Cole and Taz hype the rematch for RVD vs Cena. Saying that the match is going to be a must see. Taz gives his prediction that RVD is going to come away with the win. While Cole backs Cena, WWE vs ECW, it is a must see!
Danny Basham vs Brother Ray
Out first is Danny, who quickly gets down to the ring. He enters the ring, calling out his opponent. Then the bomb drops, as Brother Ray appears from the curtain. Quickly he rushes down to the ring, and the fight is on. Hard shots to the face by Ray, who is able to sling Danny into the ropes. Off the rebound, Ray delivers a hard clothesline, sending Danny upside down. The match continues to be fast paced, you really wouldnt think that would you. Both men hammer away with shots to the face, and even a few knees. The match continues on, with Ray being in control for most of the match. A one point Danny begins to fight back. Hitting several high impact moves, yet the veteran is able to counter, delivering a neckbreaker. With Danny down on the mat, Ray climbs to the top rope, something he doesnt do often. And it shows, as Danny is able to knock the big man off balance sending him crashing to the ground.
The fans groan, as the fall looked like a stinger. With Ray down on the outside, Danny yells at the ref to count. Even when the ref does, it isnt good enough, so Danny goes to the outside. The assault on the outside begins, with Danny kicking Ray in the head multiple times. It isnt stopped there, as Danny slams Ray into the guard rail, his back making a loud thud. Now the action gets back into the ring, with Danny going for a cover, but only getting two. He stands back, waiting for Ray to stand, calling for the finish. As Ray gets to his feet, Danny goes for a neckbreaker, however Ray counters into the BUBBA BOMB! Danny is slammed into the mat, with the cover made, Ray gets the win.
Winner: Brother Ray (by pinfall)
Oh how sweet the win is, with Brother Ray gaining the victory. The Tag Champions havent had much luck, and this loss tonight for Danny doesnt do much to help that. What is going to happen next to the Champions, as we see Brother Ray walk to the back?
Commercial

Basic Thuganomics
The crowd jump to their feet, as John Cena rushes out. He holds up his United States Championship, yelling out to the people as he does. The Champ enters the ring, with his title on his shoulder. Of course he grabs a mic, as Cena wants to address the crowd again.
Cena: What a live crowd we have tonight!
They cheer for Cena.
Cena: So tonight I face off against a mystery opponent, who is selected by Rob Van Dam. I wonder who it will be. Maybe Hogan, Rock, Austin, maybe even Christian? See it really doesnt matter, because THE CHAMP IS HERE and here to stay. Yo, Van Dam bring out your little monkey ass bitch!
The crowd cheer, after hearing the word bitch.
Can You Dig It
Oh hell yes, this is what Smackdown is about, NOW CAN YOU DIG THAT SUCKA!!! With his music playing, out comes .BOOKER FREAKING T! The former WCW Champion is going to be facing off against John Cena. Cena cant believe this, and is freaking out in the ring. Van Dam has pulled out the big card, and what a pick for Cena.
With Booker now in the ring, the match is on. Still in shock, Cena doesnt get the first shot like he usually does. This time it is Booker who strikes first, knocking Cena down with a huge chop. The people are already into this, as Booker hammers away with the shots. As Cena gets to his feet, Booker gathers himself, not wanting to make a mistake. He goes for a kick; however Cena ducks, and goes for the FU on Booker. Oh the crowd cheer, as both men have a high range of fan support. The struggle is on, as Booker digs his fingers into the eye of Cena. This blinds Cena, who is forced to release the hold on Booker.
With Booker off his shoulders, Cena covers his face. As his eyes hurt and it would for anybody who had fingers in their eyes. From behind, Booker knocks Cena down to the mat, where he now drops his knee. The knee is dropped into the ribs, and back of Cena, wearing him down. A quick cover is made, which only gets a two count. Now we see Booker grab Cena by the head, and then drop him down with a Suplex. It is picture perfect, as Booker once again goes for a cover, but only gets a two count.
The crowd are really into this match, as Booker slings Cena into the turnbuckle. He raises his right hand, shaking it about. Then Booker runs at Cena, going for a clothesline, however Cena moves out of the way. The chest of Booker hits the top turnbuckle, as Cena rolls Booker up, only getting two. Now we see Cena begin to fight back, he gets to his feet, delivering a flying shoulder block.
With Booker now off guard, and stumbling, Cena hits a spin out powerbomb. The fans know what is coming, as Cena throws his right hand up. While telling Booker that he is invisible, Cena drops his fist for the five knuckle shuffle. The fans pop, as Cena is calling for the FU. Slowly Booker uses the ropes to get to his feet. He holds onto them to gain his balance. Not knowing what is waiting for him, Booker turns around, and is lifted onto the shoulders of Cena.
Trying to fight, Booker goes back to the eyes, however Cena shakes his head. At the last moment Booker is able to shift his wait, and escape the hold. Cena is pushed forward, and nearly trips. As he stumbles forward, Booker is able to ready himself. And once Cena turns around, he is hit with the Book End. With the crowd cheering, Booker T goes into the cover, and gets the final three count.
Winner: Booker T (by pinfall)
Once again Booker Ts music hits, as the fans chant his name. With Cena out in the ring, Booker begins to walk to the back. With Booker coming out as the victor, he may be seen a future contender for the United States Championship.

We comeback to see Batista standing with Todd Grisham, who is ready to ask Batista about the Main Event.
Grisham: Batista, tonight you face off against JBL. And if he defeats you in under 10:12 seconds, he will face you at Survivor Series. What are your thoughts on facing him?
Batista: Well Todd, tonight I face off against a man I have already beaten. It was at The Great American Bash, where I walked out as the winner. Tonight will be no different, JBL, get ready, because the animal is going to unleash.
From behind we see Edge walk up, with Muhammad Hassan in toe.
Edge: Davey Boy, how you going?
Batista: Fine, what are you doing here?
Edge: Same thing you guys did on RAW, paying a little visit. Oh and dont worry, I see you again, Ill be out there tonight.
Batista: If you cost me this match, it will be the last thing you ever done!
With Edge left standing there, Batista walks off, as his match is up next!
Beat the Clock Sprint
Batista vs JBL
Longhorn"
With his white limo pulling up, JBL appears from the car. With Orlando Jordan behind him, JBL makes his way down to the ring. And now we wait for the Champ, the crowd can feel it. They want to see him, they are ready!
I Walk Alone
With a huge pop from the crowd, World Heavyweight Champion Batista appears. With the title around his waist, he runs to the ring for battle.
Both men trade blows, with Batista knocking JBL early. With JBL stepping backward, Batista slings him into the ropes, and delivers a huge tackle. With Orlando on the outside jumping around, Batista goes for a cover, but only gets two. It seems as if the animal is in a rage tonight, as he goes into a mount position on JBL. Huge forearms, and closes fist are delivered to the face of JBL. Each one getting hard, and finally finishing with a strong thrust of the forearm to the jaw. Another cover by Batista, which again only gets two.
The match has been all Batista, and JBL has been dominated at this point. The animal is in full force tonight, as he lifts JBL to his feet. Looking into his eyes, Batista once again lifts JBL onto his shoulders. Slowly Batista walks over to the turnbuckle, where he puts JBL. This could be bad, as JBL nearly falls off the turnbuckle. With Batista delivering several shots to the face, JBL is at the mercy of the Champ.
Now Batista goes for a superplex, as the count is at 5:00 to go. We have been here for just over 5 minutes and it has been all Batista. Still going for the superplex, JBL is able to counter, sending Batista down to the mat. The back of Batistas head hits the canvas hard, this may be the opening JBL needed. Slowly JBL gets down from the top turnbuckle, and to the safety of the ring. He walks over to Batista, and delivers a sharp kick to the head. The match may be turning here, as JBL drops several elbows, and even a few solid kicks to the skull.
We now see the clock at 4:20 to go, as JBL can smell the World Championship match at this point. With Orlando on the outside, JBL is in control. He grabs Batista by the head, turning him around, so that his face s under the arm of JBL. Then he comes down with several strong, forearm shots to the upper chest area of Batista. At times the shots even connect with the neck, but most of them are to the chest.
To end this, JBL delivers a hard backbreaker, followed by a cover, which only gets two. Again JBL looks at the clock, which says 3:50, it is getting close. With Batista down, JBL takes some time to gather himself, regaining his energy. This may cause to be a mistake, as Batista makes it to his feet. He looks at JBL, seeing the man he could be facing. The animal charges at JBL, going for the spear, however HE SPEARS THE REF!
With 3:10 left on the clock, Batista has speared the ref, so this allows JBL to deliver a low blow. The Champion goes down, as a smile comes across the face of the millionaire. He calls for Orlando to pass him a weapon, which is a chair. With his weapon ready, JBL goes to strike! But from the crowd comes EDGE, who grabs the chair, and uses it on JBL. Quickly Edge pulls Batista over JBL, while Hassan takes care of Orlando. The ref is still down, and the clock is running, so Edge signals for someone to hurry. Then we see it, TEDDY LONG! The man who has been pushed around by JBL since WrestleMania is coming to the ring. He tells Edge to exit the ring, and looks around. It is decision time, what will Teddy do?
The man gets down, and checks the shoulders of JBL ..AND COUNTS THE THREE COUNT! The crowd give the biggest pop of the night, as Teddy Long calls for the bell. We see he quickly exit, and make a dash with Edge and Hassan as protection. We can now confirm Kurt Angle vs Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship at Survivor Series!
Cole: I cant believe it!
Taz: Teddy Long stood up tonight, finally.
Cole: We have our Main Event, Angle vs Batista at Survivor Series. Thank you for being here tonight, tune in next week, as we come closer to Survivor Series.
