Does anybody besides me enjoy Combat Zone Wrestling.
If so what is your favorite matches. Mine are Cage of Death 8 Zandig vs LOBO vs Nick Gage vs Lufisto and Cage of Death 5 main event the HI-V vs Team Ultraviolence.

I used to get CZW on my TV on a crappy local network (I live near Philly), but CZW back out of their TV deal :(

At the Tournament of Death 3 Zandig said to look for them on ppv soon but its 3 years later and still no ppv deal.:cuss2:

I do enjoy CZW but it depends on what type of match it is, the 10,000 lighttube stuff just pisses me off, they just hit each other for five mins with lighttubes then there is the end bump, some of the violence just seems pointless and boring, but they have a solid roster and there lightweight matches and especially the best of the best tournements are great, and i do enjoy Nick gage when he gets violent he can work with great intensity.

I agree, DJ. CZW is pointlessly violent--and in my view--disgusting. On the indy scene, CZW is out and ROH is in. Catch some recent ROH or NOAH ASAP. There are tons of free, five-star ROH and NOAH matches on Google video and YouTube that are available for download. I recommend anything with KENTA vs. Danielson as a good starting point.

I enjoy the violence sometimes but if you buy any DVD from XPW you will be very dissapointed. THe two and the last ill ever own is just filled with violence. No actual wrestling was required to join.
I will look at some ROH on YouTube today when i get home.

I am a fan of Czw but I cant watch it because it is not on tv anymore. My favorite match was the cage of death between Zandig and LOBO for the ownership. It does have a lot of pointless violence but it is still better than the new ECW. Hell CZW is pretty much the old ECW anyway.

If i am going to be fair i wouldnt say all CZW is bad, but i dont watch them for the main events, which tend to be as we have said before pointlessly violent, and like has been said as well it was similar to XPW, there is no reason for the violence, they just cut each other and use excessive lightubes thumbtacks and barbed wire.

Now i am not saying using weapons in matches is a bad thing, but there needs to be a reason for using it..

For example:

If your opponent is putting up a fight and it is been used as a last resort

You have this severe hate for the opponent, which has been built up in the storyline that lead to the match.

the last one on there is common practice is WWE and TNA they have a feud start and when it gets 1 or 2 ppvs down the line have it end in a gimmick/weapon based match.

CZW and XPW just got stupid, although there is exceptions to the rule as CZW has produced some epic battles that sat just on line with a perfect balance between showmanship and violence (or as they dub it Ultraviolence).

Yeah, you should definitely check YouTube 'cause they have great stuff, but also note that Google Video seems to have more full-length ROH matches than does YouTube.
