Colt Cabanna

Does anyone think that Colt Cabanna would be a perfect fit for ECW. I think that Colt should come in as a face and as a partner for CM Punk. What do you guys think about Colt? How do you think he should debut? do you think he should go to ECW or somewhere else?

I was actually having this same conversation last night! I don't watch the rubbish that is ECW, but I am a big fan of Punk and I would be inclined to tune in if the Punk/Cabana saga was reignited. I love the chemistry these two have. Cabana is a great worker and would be over with the fans in a heartbeat if given the opportunity to showcase his personality. If the WWE really wants to give make Cabana into a star, a debut aligning him with Punk would be a great place to start.

It would truely be awesome to have something like Cabana and Punk work together for awhile, maybe even bring him in to feud against MnM (poor Morrison will never get away from those intials). But a must have would be turn Punk HEEL (the guy is just an awesome heel) for awhile and have him and Cabana go at it for a few months. ;p

I could not agree more. I would love to see a Punk/Cabana union to start off Cabana's WWE career. Of course, that union would have to end in a fued- specifically one that would turn Punk heel. Cabana's ability to engage the crowd will help put Punk over as a legitimate heel.

The only thing I can think of is The Second City Saints Reunion (including Ace Steel who is also in OVW)...I'm sure you guys have seen the ROH promos and matches with those guys...Classic...I definitely agree that the reunion should end with Punk turning heel (I specifically remember in I believe '04 when he was threatening to take the ROH Title with him to WWE...perfection). He can draw so much heat its insane. Maybe have Steel as his partner in crime, an "enforcer" if you will...Steel may be too small though...

I don't care where the bring Cobana in at, I just want Cobana in WWE now!!!!, though ECW/SD! would be the better option, as he would probably just get lost in the shuffle like so many other great starts, I would love to see him and Punk back togetyhre again, for all the reason's mentioned already, just think of the possibilities, you could have Punk/Cobana win the tag titles from Miz/Morrison, and then after that feud has died done move onto Shelton/Burke, just imagine those matches, and if/when WWE decides to bring him up, they have to let him be able too cut his promos, let him be himself, that's when he (as well as most greats on the mic are) will be at his best, I'd like to see him bring a talk show segment to ECW/SD! as well, like what he had in ROH, Colt should be brought up soon, and I'm hoping WWE realizes this and and handles him properly when he does get brought up

How do you figure, right now he's in OVW and not getting anywhere near the exposure he would get if he were to show up on ECW, ECW is shown worlwide, OVW isn't, on ECW he would have the benifit of the talent exchange which would allow him to wrestle on SD! at time too, that means he would more than likely get a TV spot everyweek as opposed to if he were on RAW where he would probably get looked over, I still can't figure out being on ECW is a step down at this point when he's not even on the main roster at this point, please explain this to me

Gosh, Ever since Colt moved to OVW, I've been waiting for them to bring him up to ECW. I dont know what they are waiting for at this time, but i've watched a bunch of cabana's matches and he is one of the most entertaining "Uknowns" out there. I would Love to see him come up into ECW and do something with CM Punk. I dont know though, in ECW, if the title isnt involved, its like no one cares... but with the talent exchange, that would help. I dont know, I just agree with most of you in that I want to see Colt Cabana brought up to the main roster and brought up soon.

And if wwe would just let Punk turn heel. against Cabana, that would definetly be the best way I could think of.

I think they could easily to the 2nd city saints thing in ecw which would be a jumping point for them to move to RAW, where i think they would be over. It would be a new exciting stable with guys that are fun to watch. With them starting out on ECW and then them thinking they're too big for it they move to RAW. It would be a good story and probably have some great promos.

I read a short time ago that Colt Cobana has a development deal with the WWE, but in this current age, development talent comes and goes like the weather.

It would be nice if he did show up in ECW one day, his ROH stuff with CM Punk was entertaining

I think sending Cabanna to ECW would help both parties. I think he could a good asset to ECW and could be a possible feud for Punk or partner since they have real good chemistry. This will also help Colt because I dont think he would make it in the big leauges yet(raw more than smackdown) but having him learn and grow as a performer in ECW may help elevate him to the next step.

i agree. colt should be on television and would bring a little more entertainment value to ECW. i go to the OVW when they are in town and i think there's actually a lot of talent on that roster that should at least be brought up to ECW, if not, smackdown or raw.

I like the idea of debuting Cabanna opposite CM Punk since the two work together. Given Cabanna's personality and what the rumor mill is spinning, I think the best scenario for him would be something along the lines of... Santino and Carlito (who just did a backstage rip/rib on CM Punk at a house show) move to Smackdown/ECW. For whatever reason you like (how about Maria used to be Punk's girlfriend) they start to feud with Punk and a midcard ECW face (Kofi, Stevie..whoever). Cabanna then debuts on the side of Santino and Carlito and the three of them form a stable... Imagine the comedy potential of Santino's mic work, Cabanna's antics, and Carlito as the straight man...plus, as has been mentioned before, Cabanna will get over in the ring quickly having such good chemistry with the already-over Punk..
