Pedro Morales didn't really work out as a champion, and was the shortest reigning face champion before 1990. Punk's reign was comparable in length, but held at a time of much greater turbulence in the championship division. For that reason alone, he was a greater success and should win here.

But he was never really a big deal as a champion. John Cena vs John Lauranitis main evented a pay per view that he wrestled as champion on. Half of that eternal reign was just to give Rock someone to beat. Ryback not beating Punk at Hell in a Cell essentially killed Ryback's career.

Pedro held the belt for over 1000 days because he was awesome.
