Seriously...I was writing a paper about the authority of Scripture for my theology class in undergrad, and I talked about how people misuse Scripture to oppress people. You bet I used the Westboro Baptist Church as Exhibit A.


I was so pissed at these peeps that I literally called the church on the phone...and I guarantee it was this lady who picked up (sounded just like her). So, to counteract her Bible thumping I took out my Bible and dished out some forgiveness and love Scriptures, along with some Scripts condemning the kind of stuff that place dishes out. Her response was something like, "blah, fires of hell, when you are judged don't cry to me because you've been warned....CLICK"

I actually learned that from watching the philosopher's commentaries on The Ultimate Matrix Collection. If you have a chance to watch those, I defo recommend because it's such an enlightening experience.
