Cade a future WWE champ?

Getting Noticed By Management
past few years I have always thought cade would be a major star, and its a few years later and hes still a world tag champ jobber to the single stars. the guy has the size & looks of the perfect champion. his wrestling seems solid. he has been getting more mic time so thats good.

so how long if ever until cade takes the next step? or is it just wwe holding him back?

by wrestlemania 24 is cade even on the card? is he in a meaningless tag match or what. id say leading into 08 split up the team, let murdock maybe go to ecw as a monster lmao (hey hes got talent, and hes big).. then build cade up towards the IC title and so on..and put him in the mitb match at wm24 (if there is one). sound good? lol

At first when Cade showed up in WWE as Garrison Cade I saw him as nothing more than a jobber. My suspicions were confirmed when he disappeared back to OVW months later.

When he came back in 2005 with Trevor Murdoch I though the two of them got too much, too quick. They were World Tag Team Champions on their first night, albeit they jobbed to Kane and Big Show a month later. I believe they soon split the team up after this didn't they? A pointless move considering the two of them just wrestled singles matches on Heat every week rather than splitting the two of them up and giving them pushes as singles competitors. Subsequently WWE didn't have a clue what to do with them and stuck them back together but to my surprise both men have won me over. In the time they were off the belts they improved their characters and their in-ring skills and I can now take them seriously as a decent tag team and more importantly as champions.

However do I see Cade as a good singles competitor worthy of a push? It's a tough call. I think Murdoch is more entertaining but I think Cade has the better talent in the ring. Cade could probably do alright in singles but with WWEs reluctance to push new talent we wont know for a while. Certainly not by the time Wrestlemania 24 roles around.

ya as garrison he looked like a total jobber for life.

but lance cade to me i think of him as the next JBL of the wwe. 1- hes big 6'5? he has that monster feel to him from his size, he;s a texas guy, does have some talent wrestling wise. but i just hope it doesnt take cade a life time to become world champ like it did jbl.

but im not saying i dont like cade and murdoch as a team, i like em alot and think there the best tag team to come down the pike in a while. they remind me of doa or demolition but with more skills & no face paint lol.

cade is definatly talented but his mic skills are average but he still is considered to be young in the ring and i can see him in the main event scene in a couple of years if wwe do give him a push which i doubt will happen

With the right gimmick and the WWE willing to give them a legitimate push, pretty much anybody in the company theoretically can be a World Champ...just look at JBL.

Cade's had a few chances already...they split up his team with Jindrak to give him a push as a singles star but he hurt his knee and that killed all of his momentum. And as you may recall, they already tried to split up Cade and Murdoch once to give Cade a singles push...that lasted about six months, most of which Cade spent on Heat. So he's 0-2 so far in singles pushes...I don't think the WWE is going to be real eager to give him another shot. Plus they're all the tag team division has on Raw so they have to keep them together for awhile. I think he'll get another shot eventually, but not in the immediate future.

As Garrison, I really couldn't see Cade going anywhere.

As Lance however, I can see Cade moving up the card over the next year or so. If somehow they were able to break the tandem he's got going with Murdoch up, they can turn him into a decent singles competitor. He's got the in-ring talent, and compared to how he was on the mic back in the latter stages of 2005, he's improved a fair bit.

During the whole 'who's Mr. McMahon's Bastard Son' several rumours came up saying that Cade could be the son seeing as reports have said that he's soon in for a push... I really thought it was Cade at the latter stages as he was still in it. I think that a push could be around the corner but for the moment, I don't mind him being the tag team division with Murdoch.

I've always thought Cade was a good wrestler. I never liked the fact the he took up the whole cowboy gimmick with Murdoch over the rumored HBCade, which would have set up a nice feud with HBK. From there I could see him really taking off as a singles competetor. However WWE decided to make Cade and Murdoch, which as a team does work and that's obivous as the are the champs. However I think Cade would have been and still could be a contender for the title... That is if and that's a really big IF... WWE and Vince are willing to let it happen...

I never heard about this HBCade rumor. But that could've been insteresting. And didn't Shawn Michaels train him? I always thought that he was going to be a huge singles competitor, but then it never happened. Although once he started speaking, I understood why. But it's not like that can't be fixed. Besides, the third time's the charm, right? I definitely would not mind seeing him make it on the singles scene.

Maybe Who knows, I didn't think Edge would every win one never mind 3. You just gotta be at the right place at the right time. But I can't see Cade and Murdoch quitting the Tag team division.

I'm new here anyone noe y i cant post threads

whoever made this thread must be crazy, lance cade a wwe champion thats the biggest joke ive heard so far, cade isnt exactly a shawn michaels, scott steiner or booker t, the only good thing he's there for is to be a jobber and a tag team wrestler but wwe champion thats going way over the line, if cade ever does be a world champ it would probably be the ecw title but that title isnt exactly that popular anymore is it

He's got the look, and the training lineage, he knows the right people.

We're talking years down the line though. Triple H is back, burying people as usual. But Cade has a big man body, he has blonde hair, and blue eyes, something that Vince just loves in his champions.

He has exceptional skill on the mic for now. He still needs to prove himself a bit more in the tag ranks. Plus, we need to see how well he does in the singles ranks, and if he has the patience to wait his turn.

I don't know if he'll be a future champ, it's too early, but he's still not fallen into that category of never will be world champion, like Jeff Hardy.

well i wasnt really saying he would be champ any time soon. but look at the wwe roster and who else does wwe have thats been around for awhile, that has the size, the look, has that i guess all american image to him..think hogan but with hair lol. but i do really think he would be great as a contender for the wwe title in about 14+ months from now or so. least build the guy into a good singles wrestler. but hey hes one of the wrestlers i like, reminds me of some of the better wrestlers like windom, a younger jbl, hogan, sid, razor ramon just without the chico stuff lol and having blonde hair lol.

Cades just as talented as some of the guys that have been given monster pushes for world titles and even J.R himself said at one point "if i had to make a wrestler lance cade would be my prototype" so he obviously has the look , i think that cade will eventually be given a push as a face when him and murdoch split, probably with trevor turning on him and becoming the heel in the feud. Hes definetly good enough for the IC title but with backstage guys like triple H around you never know whos gonna get the thumbs up...
