C.M. Punk's Going To Get Buried

Punk should go to TNA, that's where all his friends are and I think he would be able to showcase his abiltiy better their

Lets keep one thing in mind. Vince's ability to recognize talent or who is over with the fans has completely disintegrated. It's why he tried to get the crowd to go for Lashley when he knows the fans want that worthless title on RVD. CM Punk is never going to get over in either of those brands. All of them are extensions of a bland wrestling product. It's a shame because there is tremendous talent in CM Punk

Been there, done that, he's not going back

Just be patient you internet wrestling fans. Give it time. I've said it before in other posts about him, and I'll say it again. He's only been in the company for 8 months as a wrestler, so giving him a shot at the ECW title isn't going to happen. That doesn't mean that he won't eventually become a main-eventer.

I think one of the reasons why Punk is so popular is because he debuted in the Hammerstein Ballroom, in front of the die hard fans. Other fans took notice of this and now think he is amazing.

I've never understood why the fans like him so much-- similar to some of the X Division guys in TNA. And the straight edge thing is stupid.

I want clean finishes-- none of this grab the ropes cheating BS.

^Because he's paid his dues on the indy scene and in places like ROH wrestling matches that guys like Holly, Finlay, and Anderson couldn't work if someone drew them a friggin' blueprint. The fans that knew CM at Hammerstein were not marks, but in fact knew just who the hell he was and appreciated his talent. Unlike the main event that night, which was Big Slow versus Dianabol Dave Batista...which they buried. Straight Edge is a lifestyle choice, nothing more. If you're not into Minor Threat than you wouldn't be expected to get it, anyway. Clean finishes are great, but not when they have a perennial midcard wonder like Holly get the win over a guy who could be the absolute savior of the abomination that is currently called ECW. I'd be able to swallow the victory if it wasn't in complete jobber fashion. Crap like this is why WWE product has taken a nosedive. They forgot the most important thing: listening to the fans every night.

I completely agree with that post as well. Its BS what the old ass wipes r doing to Punk. This isn’t just a paying dues thing it’s a personal issue that Arn Anderson has with punk because punk told him the truth to his face. Its an abuse of Power on his behalf its unprofessional and all that other crap. Punk has more talent than most of the Main Eventers in the company but age and an oversized ego have taken Vince’s ability to see things like that

I dont understand why they would do that considering not many people see Lashley as a champion well i dont anyway but CM Punk is light years in head of lashley as for losing to holly clean that was just pathetic i cant believe that they are wasting talent like him.

What did CM Punk say about Arn?

CM Punk's loss to Hardcore Holly at the 1/9 ECW show was of course, the end of his undefeated streak. Punk is currently in the doghouse and this was punishment for it. However, it is currently unknown at the moment in regards to what Punk did to deserve to be in the doghouse in the first place.

It was well known backstage that Punk disagreed with the layout for the Extreme Elimination Chamber match the Dec. To Dismember. Arn Anderson, who was the co-producer of the match along with Michael Hayes, made the following remark: "After 14 years of being WWE television, Holly is the bigger star."

ECW writer Dave Lagana's original plan for the 1/9 match was for Punk to be on the verge of beating Holly with the Vise, but Holly would to struggle to the ropes and win with the feet on the ropes finish for a fluke pin. However, at the agent meeting before the show, the whole room turned on Punk. Anderson said that Holly should make Punk pay his dues. Also, some of the agents believe that he's "Heyman's guy", and that's he's not really very good and his being over is a fluke that was created by Heyman. Once again, Anderson said that Punk should pay his dues before they push him and there was no need for Holly to have to cheat to beat him because he's 'the real WWE Superstar'. The idea for the clean finish in the match came from Finlay.

Also, there were people backstage getting off on Holly chopping CM Punk hard during the match.

that doesn't sound too good for Punk.

It's a case of Vince letting dinosaurs with a "Cowboy Watts" mentality decide what goes on in the ring. Arn has trouble with someone who outscoops the pops or heat of a veteran because Arn himself had trouble doing anything without being surgically attached to Flair's ass. Case in point: The Brain Busters tag team. They floundered and no one cared when he made the dumbest move of his life and decided to make it of his own accord. Not that I sell Anderson's in-ring ability short, but it's not enough to make up for his charismatic shortcomings ala Benoit. One great spinebuster does not a legend make. If this was 1997 and McMahon was still having Russo and Ferarra's type of show being produced, he'd be pissing his pants for a guy like Punk and would've probably pushed him to the top already. Too bad, WWE has become exactly what Shane Douglas referred to it as: Cartoonland. CM Punk isn't a legend on the indy circuit because of his cool tattoos and Straight Edge association. He's respected because he can work his ass off and is just as good, if not better, than anyone else who has ever graced a WWE ring when he's actually allowed to work his best. He's becoming the new RVD. Loads of talent being wasted in a watered-down ditch of a booking scheme.

I believe that C.M Punk would be great to go to raw and compete with orton and maybe join HBK or even go to smackdown and vs benoit, finlay, booker,mr.kennedy and mysterio when he returns i mean i'd like to see Punk with the U.S title i mean on smackdown or raw he would get pushed far but thats just what i think

This whole thing is supposed to be about not paying his dues??? Well then what the hell has Lashley done to pay his? At least Punk as worked the indy scene and ROH along with TNA over the last couple of years. Lashley shows up and within a year has a World title, whats with that?

It also amuses me that Arn(who was great in ring so dont get me wrong) is talking seeing as he wouldnt and didnt amount to shit without Ric Flair and the Horsemen. Finlay has never been anything but a mid-carder. Only reason he was ever in the title hunt was cause of Smackdown's putrid looking roster.

Vince just need to get his head out of his own ass and worry about putting together a better product and not worry about whos heel and whos face. If he put half the effort into his entire product that he does DX and Cena there wouldnt be an issue.

CM Punk is the only reason to watch ECW, and if he gets buried the struggling show is gonna do even worse, with no title for RVD in sight this is the worst thing to ever do for WWECW. I really wish WWE would stop wasting there top talent and push the guys that have the most in ring ability

it'll be interesting to see if punk gets a win back over holly in the next few weeks. or maybe he'll get screwed out of a win with a cheap finish and more frustration building up before snapping and turning heel on the fans. hell i know it isn't roh and it'd be dreamworld if he were to get a good 5 minute long promo in the ring, where he could get some white hot heat a la 'the summer of punk'. hearing the 'straightedge means im better than you' on national television could be a great moment. that or he is gonna get jobbed out to monty brown in the next few weeks

i hate the fct punk is getting depushed, he was the only positive thing in the entire wwe in my view. i like certain other things too but i thought punk was the only thing they actually listened to the fans about. i guess thats not happening anymore.

I think it's only a matter of time beofre Punk is gone from WWE. He's just to good and will never "fit in" according to most WWE mgmt.

yeah and ud think the fact he doesnt fit in would be good. if it were the real ecw, it would, but its clearly not at all. so we can all just watch as ecw drowns to death.

I'll tell you all this right now and that is I wouldn't be surprised if after the contract runs out this year for ECW on Sci Fi that they put it to rest again. It is a bunch of trash and it's a shame what Vince is doing with it.

Whats the deal with management and CM? I guess I missed that one.

I dont understand why ECW isnt all extreme rules matches. I mean it is Extreme Championship Wrestling still right?
