Anyone seen the remake of The Hitcher? I've heard bad things about it, but it's a remake of an awesome movie so it has my interest. Anyone seen it?

seen the commercials for that movie "The Collector"

I usually dont fuck around with Horror movies, but I really REALLY dig the premise of this one

The Collector will either be great or total shit. The guy who's making it is either great, or shit most of the time. He makes awesome movies like Feast, and than he produces total shit like Saw 4 & 5.

Can't wait to get my hands on Antichrist. I'm usually not big on Trier or Dogme 95, but that film looks fantastic.

I imagine most of your movie ideas revolve around a naked Willem Dafoe Sam...

It's shit. Truly shit. The acting is absolutely terrible, and there's hardly any suspense whatsoever. I mean, you being such a horror buff should maybe check it out nevertheless so you can form your own opinion on it, but yeah... in my opinion, it's fucking horrendous, man.

I've only seen the new one, and wasn't overly impressed. It had some great moments, but left too much unexplained for me to really get into it.

I'm expecting it to be, but I am such a horror fan that I pretty much have to watch it, even if I know it's going to suck. It's so rough being a horror fan sometimes

I'm about to start on The Outsiders. Fabulous book, haven't yet seen the movie.

The movie is mostly great, though the last half can be kind of slow. Great mostly though. The Rumble Fish movie Coppola did puts The Outsiders to shame though, I'd HIGHLY recommend you see Rumble Fish. One of my favorite movies. Seen it JMT? Of course you have.

Dude the original is a fuckin' classic. It's got Ponyboy from The Outsiders in it, as well as Rutger fuckin' Hauer. Dude, you'd like the original, I'm sure of it. Really good thriller/horror film from the 80s, good stuff. Rutger is fucking INSANE in that movie.

Finished it. Good movie, prefer the book. I'll have to check out Rumble Fish. Tomorrow I think I'll watch Liar Liar and Appleseed Ex Machina, if there's time.

I've heard that Antichrist is straight up offensive.

The best art usually is, isn't it?

Yeah, the movie isn't as good as the book. But for Rumble Fish, the movie is actually about 12,000 times better than the book. I love the book, but the movie is a straight-up masterpiece. It's extremely different from The Outsiders film that Coppola made, much more artistic. It's completely in black and white and it has amazing performances from guys like Mickey Rourke and Matt Dillon. One of my favorite movies, tell me what you think if you see it.

JMT, Murf, ever seen Rumble Fish?

I'm used to the original being better. If I ever find it, and it's relatively inexpensive, I'll be sure to give it a try.

I'm going to be visiting a friend tomorrow, for the first time in a long time. Having trouble picking movies to bring along. Here's my list so far, and I don't want to go over 10:

1. Eurotrip
2. Shoot 'Em Up
3. Reservoir Dogs
4. Happy Endings
5. Great Expectations
6. SLC Punk
7. Shrek (for my son)

I'm unsure of what else to bring. We obviously love any kind of movie...

I've picked up fucking gems in the $5 walmart bin..
Platoon,Jaws,Animal House,Close encounters,Clerks2,Poltergiest,Revenge of the Nerds,waiting.......

I just found out that The N plays old episodes of Kenan & Kel. I've just blown a fat, sticky load all over myself. Thank you Jebus.

"Welcome to Good Burger, home of the good burger, can I take your order?"

:lmao:

I love the movie more than the show...

That was an All That sketch, has nothing to do with the actual show Kenan & Kel.

Get your 90s Nickelodeon shows right damnit!

Seriously, I'm fucking STOKED right now to find out they've started airing re-runs again. I fucking LOVED this show as a kid, one of my favorites. I haven't seen it in years! God damn 90s TV shows were so much better than current ones (most). Especially kids shows. We had fucking Rocco's Modern Life and Ren & Stimpy! What do kids nowadays have? Hannah Montana? Lame.

90s Kid Shows > Present Kid Shows

I know that, but they were still the actors in the movie.

I never really watched either. I didn't start watching Nickelodeon until I had my son.

Fall 2011 - The arrival of Boy Meets World on Nick At Nite. And, this thread is about movies dammit. Make a Bullshit About TV thread if you want :p

I just rewatched Suspicion. Rather slow until the marriage, but it picks up well. It also helped that I didn't remember the ending.

Good film, but not one of Hitchcock's best IMO. For any other director it'd be a masterpiece, but for someone like Hitchcock it's simply adequate.
