Bret Hart still has it. Hear me out

The only thing we saw from Bret last night were offensive moves in a short period of time, that is not enough to judge how much gas he has in the tank. Plus, he didn't take a single bump last night! He may have tuned up since WM26, but come on, a wrestler who can't take bumps anymore? As nostalgic as people may be for Bret and want to see him have a send-off match, I don't think a full singles match will live up to a lot of people's expectations. Not a good idea

Yeah he looked better then WM 26, but is that really saying much? A couple of punches and a scoop body slam and he looked amazing? I don't know about that one. I suppose he looked more comfortable in the ring if that's what you're saying. Other then that he doesn't have it anymore. He can't even take anything in return because of his health. It's over for Bret match wise, but things like what he did at SS are fine by me. Just being able to see him back regardless of what he's doing is amazing.

Bret looked pretty awesome last night, way better than his performance at Mania. But this should be his send-off. If not, it would be okay for him to do a few tag matches on occasion, possibly at Bragging Rights and Survivor Series, but he should NOT, and I repeat, NOT do a full singles match. After 2 minutes the guy was already trying to catch his breath. And it would be too risky, because one itty bitty botch could be the end of him.

People are forgetting Bret is not an idiot, he is perfectly capable of knowing if he is too much of a risk or not and to question that on his behalf just insult his intelligence.

I think the sad thing for wrestling is that Bret as a 50+ year old stroke and concussion victim was more interesting than most things last night, that doesn't say a lot for the WWE product right now.

I don't think Bret will ever risk his own health and what people are forgetting he is doing this for a little bit of fun and for his fans, he knows his limitations and was probably over cautious at first because that is natural but is overtime becoming a little more active because he feels comfortable enough to do so.

He is not ruining his legacy because he has not been claiming to be the best or "the man" like Ric Flair still does and embarassing himself, he has said him self the Hitman character he once was is in the past and this is just Bret Hart having some fun.

Anybody who is comparing this Bret Hart to the Bret 'The Hitman' Hart from the 80's and 90's are just being silly, he will never be able to perform to that standard again but if he wants to have a bit of fun, see some of his old fans then who are we to judge him for that?

It's not like he went a solid 20 minutes, LOL, but damn I was surprised! I started yelling at my girl, "Look. Look. Bret Hart is tearing it up and he looks descent!" LOL... So yeah I was actually impressed with Bret Hart. It's been more than 10 years since I've ever said anything close to that!

Yeah until bret takes some bumps i wouldnt put him in a match. And brets contract is up around survivor series, so if hes able to take a bump then that might be his retirement match

You know I was as impressed as anyone with Bret's performance last night, I really was, but Bret needs to stop wrestling....really. For one, like the person above me mentioned, it's just not safe and it's risky for WWE as well. For two, Bret Hart is one of the greatest wrestlers in the history of the WWE. Of course he can put on a show for two minutes and pull off some of his old simpler moves. But this shouldn't serve as a springboard to return to action, it should serve as a reminder that he WAS the shit but his time in the ring is over.

Bret did the minimum required and the maximum allowed... he will have had to negotiate his insurance payout according to risk... there was little risk involved in what he did... so he was able to do it... You won't see anything more than that... other guys have had this problem and lost fortunes over it... it was the main reason guys like Perfect and Rude were retired for several years...

I enjoyed seeing Bret, but enough now... either he becomes proper GM or "WWE President" or he goes back to Hawaii...

I agree with you. But keep in mind those guys found loopholes in their insurance to return to active competition. I'm not saying Bret will do the same but Bret isn't an idiot either. If He is wrestling even as much as he did last night that means he's found a way to be able to do it, similar to Mr. perfect and those guys...
