Bret Hart

Occasional Pre-Show
Bret Hart was reported to have said on a radio show in Ireland that he wouldnt mind joining TNA if they could work out something for him to do with Angle

what could bret do seeing he cant wrestle
would he just keep interfering in angles matches or would he manage someone

Isn't Bret like 47 now?

I'm well aware that 47 is still 10 years younger than Flair, but Bret is probably a shell of his former self given how long he's been away from the ring, how old he is, and what has happened since he retired. I'd love to see Bret back in the ring and he'd probably still put on wonderful matches. However, it's better to burn out than to fade away and I don't think a return is what's best for Bret unless he's in outstanding wrestling shape

i think he had a stroke and shit hes deff not in any shape for wrestling cus i think the reason he had a stroke was from all his concusions and im sure he wouldnt risk that again but i would deff love to see him back

If Bret came out and did anything other then wrestle or something like that, he'd be contradicting everything he's said in the past. He said in his DVD that he was proud of his wrestling career and wanted to be remembered by the fans as a wrestler. He didn't want to be remembered by the "newer fans" as a referee, or some kind of authority figure, or a manager...he wanted to be remembered as a wrestler and since he can't do that anymore, there's not really anything he felt he needed to prove by going out there.

If Bret were to make appearances for TNA, i'd be interested to see what he does exactly. I'd be interested to see if he contradicts himself. Then again, he could have just said those things on purpose just to use it as an excuse for WWE and the WWE fans as to why he won't appear on television. He doesn't want to appear to the fans as bitter over Montreal still but he is.

He said though in a "dream world", if he were ever to do anything in wrestling, he'd want to do it with a guy like Angle or Benoit....and with Angle in TNA...and Vince McMahon and HBK NOT in TNA, I guess he'd do something if the price was right.

I genuinely believe that Bret Hart wants to return being that Angle - as was mentioned earlier - is one of his dream opponents. Hart stated himself that the only guys he really watches WWE events for are Benoit and Angle. He has an opportunity to do that now. Obviously, I'd watch it. As I said earlier though, I don't think Bret should do it given what has happened to him these past few years

ahan you got the point dude
when angle was in wwe bret was not ready to join but now when he is in tna he wants to join how the hell do you explain that?

The only problem is he can't wrestle, and like mentioned above, he has always wanted to be remembered as a wrestler, nothing else. So I wouldn't think there is much for him to do here, and TNA isn't going to pay him much money to just show up, considering how much they are spending right now on Angle and Sting, if they splurge money they want to give it to a wrestler not just someone who shows up on screen one time.

I would like to see Brett do something, because I am too young to remember him. I was 8 when the montreal screwjob took place, so I have no memories of Brett Hart.

I love Bret Hart, But I wouldn't want him to ruin his Legacy like Hulk Hogan did, I loved Hogan I really did But... When he didn't job to Randy Orton I got pissed mann! I would like to see Bret wrestle again but I don't know, I also wouldn't... It's weird, But I do not think he will go TNA, he is only talking about it!

I'm a huge Bret Hart marks but I don't want to see him back. I want the idea of the excellence of execution to stay in my mind.

If Bret Hart was to somehow have one last match, I'd want it to be in the WWE, at WrestleMania, and against Kurt Angle. Plus, he would have to be in good physical condition, if not then forget about it.

The thought of Bret having one last match in TNA, inside a silly 6-sided ring, in bad wrestling shape, and not infront of his loyal die-hard WWE fans... the thought of all that doesn't please me at all.

In my opinion Bret and Angle are the two greatest wrestlers of all time. I would give absolutely anything to see those two in a dream match at WrestleMania with both of them in their prime, but let's be realistic, it's not going to happen.

Hold on Bret Hart wants to come to TNA and wrestle Kurt Angle. Don't get me wrong that is a dream matchup but neither wrestlers should be in a ring. Kurt Angle's neck can snap at any time leaving him paralyzed or even dead, and Bret Hart had a stroke a few years back. What is there match gonna be, a fight to the death: last man still alive wins!

I wouldnt read too much into him stating he doesnt want to return in any capacity other than as a wrestler. I think that is really an excuse for fans as to why he won't return to the WWE. But I still think he shouldnt be involved in any in-ring action, well at least not a full-on match. Bret has some serious issues and it would be wau too dangerous for him. And I dont mean that in the Kurt Angle - 'he might pull a hamstring' bullshit way. I mean that he could actually die in the middle of the ring from a single bad hit.

Bret has had a stroke, has been in a car accident that almost claimed his life and thanks to Bill Goldberg (the worst thing that ever happened to wrestling - I still maintain he was a key contributor to the death of WCW) he has post concussion syndrome. A single hit to the head could knock out or KILL Bret. Its way too dangerous. If somehow he has overcome this (which is just short of completely impossible) the please fuck please, I would love to see him in the ring. And dont be worried about what he would do. Hes not greedy like Hogan, he would put over Angle with no problem or objection.

Whats the bet hes just still pissed that he lost his last ever match to a spastic like Goldberg. A loss to Angle would do much to repair Bret's self-image. At least he would have gone out putting over someone deservant of such an accolade.

yeah there are some things to think about

1 he said he would never wrestle again but when he said it WWE was the only thing going

2 he has always said his dream match would be with kurt angle and that would never happen coz he was with WWE but he aint anymore

3 he said he would never be part of wrestling again if he didnt wrestle and wanted to be remembered by the fans - well the last time i seen bret in a ring was here in australia a few years back and he was the commish for a wrestling show that had Jarrett steiner road dogg oh those guys are in TNA arnt they so he cant really stand by what he said there can he

4 if he ever were to wrestle again and i doubt he would i think it would be angle who he would choose to wrestle because he would trust him in the ring
they could trust each other

5 i think he will just be angles manager

he wont be anyones manager... if he returns its to fuck with angle for a few months and then finally have on match against him... ONE MATCH, thats all he can... thats all hed want, its all WE WOULD want...
and honestly... he can have one match, he had a stroke, but one match is doable... go bret... i love u man... ur the best

I think Hart may come to make an appearence, just a few to give tna a boost. Lets get this into your heads. Bret Hart will never wrestle a match again. If he did, it would tarnish his reputation, as even against a talent like angle, joe, styles, benoit or whatever, he just couldnt manage to put on a match that would be worth to carry bret harts name in it. If i remeber correctly, the plans for the hart/mcmahon match at wrestlemania 22 were simply bret punched mcmahon and knocked him out. Do you really think THAT bret hart could put on a 5 star match with somebody like angle? Dont get me wrong, i love Bret Hart, I adore him, he is the greatest pro wrestler of all time.Id take a bullet for the guy lol, but i dont want to see it, not now.

If he does come back, i think it might be for the joe/angle feud, possibly as special referee for there rubber match.

i dont think it is ever gonna happen. i dont think tna would want an old veteran liek hart. he would be better suited for a comeback in the wwe

TNA would splurge in their pants for Hart, anybody would. Why would anyone turn him down? He can't wrestle though, and he does not intend to wrestle.

bret hart doesnt need to pull a michael jordan or a deon sanders, he needs to stay away from the ring.

Hart would probally manage Angle for a bit. Hart has said one thing and done another in the past, what makes people think he'll change now?
