Breaking News: Four Major Stars sign with WWE

Yeah I caught something later was that omega didn't beat nakamura. So I had a r-truth moment that's on me...my bad but its only a matter of time.

Aww yea, WWE needs new fodder for it's NXT talent to job too. Styles is old and has a bad back. Color me unexcited. Nakamura refuses to job to anyone so it should be very interesting indeed. Funny how everybody's a Styles fan but when he was in TNA, he was a nobody. Lol. Gallows is trash, to call him a major superstar is the most disrespectful thing ever! Anderson is the only decent name on the list. He's the truth. The WWE and it's horrible booking will ruin all of them. Paging Sting.....he was supposed to make this big splash, but now he's nothing but a glorified jobber.

yay! aj, a jap, a regect, and some anderson guy! thats gonna boost ratings!

this site bitches and complains about old guys and part-timers, yet you blow your load on a closing in on 40 styles?

jesus, how long since hes been on national north american tv?

Jericho was gone less then a year and did you hear the crickets monday night?

NXT has a new star, just like you all blew your collective load when joe was signed. Hows his main roster shot gone?

EDIT: Just read the latest from PWInsider, and if that's true then it's a bummer. But my point still stands if they do show up.

Get over it, its just a way to get nxt over in japan and to boost membership, their wont be any invasion, any angles, maybe a royal rumble appearance to the delight of the main demographic of kids that say who?

clean up your tissues and come...lol...back to reality

Totally ignoring the racist comment about Nakamura. Let someone else deal with that. Where is Bacon when you need him the most.

Anyway. Anyone coming in that is any kind of a name is big news. So what Styles hasn't been on TV for awhile, he's done pretty well for himself in Japan, and some fans have been wanting him to join the WWE for years. Cena isn't far behind him in age, and look at him go.

Nakamura as I said in my other posts will boost the Japanese subscriber rate for the Network, and since the WWE is in it to make money, more power too them. It's not like he's some sort of scrub, the guy can also go in the ring.

I didn't mind Gallows the first time around. Didn't love him but at the same time didn't hate him, he was okay. Anderson I don't know, but if the reports are right, he and Gallows make up one hell of a tag team. That division needs some help, so why not.

The added bonus is the they all join up with Balor, you have the Bullet Club in the WWE. I can just see the screen printing machines going into overdrive. That is if they are allowed to use the name. It's all good for us, you know, the fans, and that's the main thing.

I'm gonna skip your blatant racism in reference to Nakamura and just say yes

Yes they will boost ratings. Styles is the #1 guy in the world who is still outside the WWE. He has legions of fans all over the world who will follow him to WWE just to see him

Gallows a reject? You're a very simple minded man to think that. Yes his time in WWE in the past hasn't been anything to write home about but I blame creative not him. He's been doing great over in Japan and just recently dropped the Tag Titles at WrestleKingdom 10.

Karl Anderson not only has been partnering with Gallows meaning he also until recently has been a Tag Champ he was partners with Brock Lesnar while he was in Japan if I'm not mistaken.

Nakamura is a mystery to me as I've not really followed him but I he's anything near what people are saying about him I'm excited to see him

This whole bunch of drivel I don't even know how to respond to it other than you're completely and irrevocably 100% wrong. Triple H knows good talent when he sees it & he has it in these 4 in spades.

I'll leave with this. Just because you're living in the WWE bubble and don't know/care about/watch anything else doesn't mean it's a bad thing.

Ikr? Styles is 40+ and has a bad back. It's common knowledge for those of us who actually follow AJ. His schedule will be limited. Gallows is just straight garbage. He's just a stiff generic big guy. Plus he had that horrific first run as Fake Kane and Feastus. That was embarrassing TV. Nakamura has a tremendous ego and rarely jobs. He's the Asian version of Cena. Anderson is decent, I like him.

I bet most of the people going goo goo gaa gaa have never seen the Bullet Club in action. Most don't know who El Generico is. Let them be excited about something because ratings are still tanking every week!

hey i wasnt trying to be racist, im just stating facts. the wwe kills other top stars from competition, always has always will. i would state names but i dont have all night, so lets do a brief overview:sting, im sure hes so glad he signed. Goldberg, ya that worked out. Speaking of working out, how bout Scott Steiner, Big PoPPY P got that golden shower. Hmm who else...the nWo, even their own previous stars sucked the royal vkm dick. William Regal, he went from being the mans man to kissing the mans ass. In no way, shape or form if any of these guys make the main roster will they be anything more then fodder for vkm's next wet dream star. Pray they go to nxt.

AJ Styles is 38 if you had even bothered to go do a Google search, so you're wrong on that account. Plus he's done even better than he did in TNA since leaving for Japan, so the WWE would be wise to get their hands on him now.

As for El Generico, he is Sami Zayn. A lot was made about him when he joined NXT and even more so when Owens came on board. The matches between Zayn and Steen where fantastic.

Btw Prince Albert called....my phone for my wake up call....thats what njpw stars that return become....hold on i think brodus clay wants to take my tray....sorry mr mcintyre i dont have any lose change...

You know what I'll give you a couple points in this one.

I don't know who Nakamura & Anderson are outside of YouTube and my own research. I haven't watched Styles in years and Gallows was horrible during his first WWE run. I do know who El Generico was and who he is in NXT.

However I'll tell you what I do know. AJ Styles and Nakamura are 2 great superstars no matter their age or work ethic. Anderson & Gallows have been one of the best teams in New Japan.

And all 4 of them will bring massive ratings to NXT and the WWE. 4 top NJPW stars is a huge steal and great not only for the WWE but for the thousands of fans who will be able to witness 4 World Class talents.

So you got a couple points but lost like 75

Ah....good old Google...the place where ill informed wrestling fans go for info. You do know that AJ has a bad back? It's well know by those of us who actually FOLLOW AJ.

There is a difference between stating facts and calling someone "a jap". He is Japanese, but I forgot you don't have all night so I guess you can be forgiven for that.

The WWE didn't expect, nor did anyone for Sting to get injured. If it had happened in a TNA ring, it would have been better for some. Let's just hope he can get back into the ring at some point down the road.

And I have no idea what Regal, Steiner and the NWO have to do with the WWE signing this group from NJPW, but I'll think about it later. You know when I have some time.

Well it appears you don't go there. But anyway, I know he was working with some sort of injury, aren't most wrestlers today. it's not a sport for the faint of heart.

Yea....like a crippled broke down AJ will do anything for ratings. Guys back is in horrific shape. He will be nothing but a glorified jobber for garbage like Prince Pretty and Neville. Poor Gallows...he was horrible as Fake Kane, horrible as Feastus, and horrible as D.O.C. in gasp...Aces and Eights. Guy's a bum. Nakamura has the world's biggest ego (besides Cena). Roderick Strong wrestled circles around him in ROH, but Strong was forced to job to that bum. Anderson is decent, but WWE creative will ruin him also.

wwe is kid friendly demo, none of them are even gonna know who he is. he cant talk on a mic, hmmm, maybe thats why they brought him in. might make roman look like heyman in comparison. IF they signed him

It's crazy to think people believe late 30s is considered old when Ric Flair, Nash and Hogan were world champs and at the top of the card well into their 40s - Hogan and Flair into their 50s. I have a strong belief as long as they're still able to go at a high level, why not? After all we are likely going to see a 50 year old Undertaker and near 50 year old Triple H and Chris Jericho competing at WM this year.

when your damaged and have been doing it half your life, ya it is old. im 34 and have been skateboarding for 20 years, it aged my knees, my back, hell all of me. i know like trips and taker know, go out once in a while and giver, but dont do it full time.

That's my whole point, that's why I said if they're to go out and perform at a high level, why not? Only older vet I've personally opposed is Sting - I grew up a fan of Sting but I did not want to see him in a WWE because he's closer to 60 years old.

Correction YOU will see a 50 year old Triple H, Jericho, and Undertaker at WM. I have no desire to watch that shit. It's entirely unbelievable to see these old geezers beating guys half their age. That's called lazy/lousy booking.

I think some folks need a reality check so I will give to you:

AJ Styles- Yes, there were reports of a bad back. If so saw his match at Wrestle Kingdom 10 from this past Monday (against Nakamura) his back is fine. Plus the WWE-style will keep him healthy longer. AJ Styles has been working with NJPW since December without a contract. Styles got laid out by Kenny Omega & the Young Bucks at New Year's Dash, thus kicking him out of Bullet Club. So Styles could sign any day now.

Shinsuke Nakamura- This move is very much coming because people have been telling him for the 2-3 years that he could make a killing in America. Every where he goes in the world he worshipped like a king. Nakamura is still the IWGP Intercontinental champion. Kenny Omega pinned him during a tag team match at New Year's Dash which means they'll more than likely face each other at New Beginning in February for the title. I expect Nakamura to work that match without a contract, drop the belt, and leave the promotion.

Karl & Doc-Karl has been NJPW's utility guy for a while now. Need someone to challenge for a singles title at a PPV and still make money on it? They call Karl Anderson. These two have basically monopolized the IWGP Tag Team titles recently. They lost the belts at Wrestle Kingdom and I imagine they may do a rematch at New Beginning, lose, then join WWE.

As to where these guys are going? Styles and Nakamura were both making rough $400k-$500k a year as main event talent in New Japan. They are not coming to NXT to work in front 1,000 people for $50k a year. They will be going to the main roster. People keep comparing them to Balor & Itami. You are incorrect to do that. Styles & Nakamura regularly main event shows in Japan. Balor & Itami did not.

Karl & Doc are super tight with Balor. They even had their ring gear for Wrestle Kingdom designed to resemble Balor's Demon Mode. I assume they'll end up in NXT.

I take a stab at it, and say Styles debuts at the Rumble, in the Rumble.
Nakamura either debuts just before WrestleMania and every REAL wrestling fans wets themselves when we get Nakamura vs. Daniel Bryan or he debuts right after WM.

Karl and Doc will finish their January dates then come in whenever NXT and Triple H wants them.

lol you small minded man, did you even read the link, they may be coming eventually but that wierd thing called a fucking contract is stopping them, take your hand off your dick and fucking put your glasses on. read the link. wwe has picked up on the hype and is using it for website clicks. none of them are signed. fucking stupidity!

Wow all these personal attacks over the internet, you are just the coolest man :lmao:

You genuinely think the WWE would acknowledge these guys and their accomplishments on their website if they weren't coming?

Also, all NJPW contracts roll over or opt out at Wrestlekingdom. Everyone knows that.

I guess this dude is some sort of back specialist or back doctor. He says AJ's back is fine because HE saw him wrestle this past Monday. I guess he knows more than the rest of us who watch AJ on a regular basis Let's pin this thread for future reference. It's good to know we have a back specialist in the forum though.:worship::worship::banghead::banghead::wtf::wtf::lol:

I love how the people who pretend to follow Styles and Nakamura in NJPW and/or ROH are so "worried" about how WWE will treat him when both NJPW and ROH have become stagnant and there's nothing new for those guys to do in either company.

Even if this turns out to be a big bust (and I don't think it will), this is exciting. To see AJ Styles in an NXT/WWE ring, fucking Nakmura.... there are endless possibilities, and Heaven forbid if fans would rather be optimistic than expect the worst.

I'm stoked for this. I'm stoked at the possibility of seeing Cena, Ambrose, Hideo, Balor, Cesaro, etc. step in the ring with these guys. I'm stoked to see these guys receive big money. I'm stoked to see these guys wrestle in front of a sold out 20k plus hyped up American audience. This is fucking exciting, and those who aren't excited about it, well, that's your loss.

It's basically standard operating procedure for the "WWE will bury him" or "WWE doesn't know how to use them" statements to come pouring out whenever WWE signs someone that has a ton of indie followers, was a big star elsewhere or both. Way back when, I heard it with Jericho, Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, Rob Van Dam, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Finn Balor, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, etc. and it'll happen again whenever another star or gaggle of stars is signed.

None of us can predict the future and I haven't been overly fond of much of what WWE put out over the last few months of 2015, but they've made good progress the last few weeks and started the year off well. I agree the whole thing could be a bust but, then again, I've resigned myself to the fact that the Bitch & Moan Club will be out in full force whenever a booking decision is made with any or all of these guys that someone doesn't like. I mean, for instance, look at many will gripe if Styles or Nakamura, if he's on his way as well, isn't wearing WWE gold within 3 months of their debut on the main roster.

I don't really get the big deal about everyone knowing someone before they sign a contract or debut. When I was re-introduced to wrestling by my boyfriend I was unfamiliar with everybody. It was different and I enjoyed it. After getting the same people and characters every week on my Television they became a little saturated. It gets boring after awhile.

I can't wait to see Nakamura and AJ even be in a WWE ring. After watching both of them at Wrestle Kingdom 9 I was hooked on the two. I don't see age being a problem to be honest with AJ. I am unaware of his injury status, but every match I have seen he has failed to disappoint. The energy he gives off in person is great to.

I do watch LU, ROH PPV's, NJPW matches, sometimes PWG, and WWE. I have to say this is one of the most exciting things to find out about in a while and am highly looking forward to whatever happens. The booking I am not worried about either, because WWE has made some unforgettable moments and matches happen. Eventually WWE will do something to have me back watching anyway as I have found out.

Wrestling is one of the few things I can stay excited about year round. I sure hope the best for these guys. I'd enjoy seeing them on the Main Roster, but NXT is fine to. Just thinking about some of these possible match ups is awesome.
