Book This! - General Discussion

Just a thought: how about we recruit some people over from that other 'place'? Maybe those who have quality shows (GCB would know) but don't get any reviews, just because thay are new to that site.

Is anyone doing a show post McMahon era/HHH era ? I'm thinking of doing that but I don't wanna do it if someone else has already done it.

I don't see why not, but I will not be jumping all over it. If they come they come, if they don't, so be it.

Most sites will ban you from their site for advertising via PM, so I hope you know them outside the other guy's forums, or do it discreetly. But other than that, I'd be up to get some new guys.

And if you don't get many reviews from me for awhile, I'm sorry. With football in full swing, and driver's education to boot (darn state laws), then two-a-days and school in full swing soon, I will be up to my neck in business. I'll still be reading shows whenever possible, but unless I feel there is something that I would like to touch on, or something that no one else has mentioned or even reviewed, there probably won't be an abundance of reviews from my direction, unless I'm having some down time. I love reading shows though, so you'll keep getting my views at least. My show will be slowed down as well, as mentioned before, but I might write some later today depending on what I am doing. I'll get the next Elite up as soon as I can.

And lastly, the new ratings come tomorrow, since I forgot them last Sunday in the Money in the Bank hype. It will be on the three week period this time, and I'll go back to two weeks this coming round. Everyone who had an active thread going three weeks ago tomorrow will be included, excluding Proph who was still doing his TNA thread. Sorry bro, but I keep it fair by taking all the views up at the same day, and you weren't currently on WWE Unleashed at the time so I didn't take up it's views. Also, anyone who had an active thread that is now not active is out. Not sure who all that includes, I'll figure it out tallying them up tomorrow.

It's cool Sign Guy

Ok I'm cancelling my women's show. Just not a big Roster Enough to be going for a while with the Book This, No energy and time in writing it, and it's a show that's not going to get much reviews. I want to focus on my 2 Brands.

Almost done with Inferno. Got 1080 words and getting to my last 2 matches.

Now that is way to short for a show which goes 2 hours long. The detail is going to be lacking in every sense, I don't want to think of the matches at this point. If you have 1000 words and you're almost done, this is just a waste of time. My shows go for 10,000 words (RAW, Smackdown) and that is short on detail compared to someone like GCB.

Nothing much, got a bit of RAW done yesterday and I have 3 matches left with a couple of segments to. Going for Monday or something to get this RAW up.

is 7-8,000 too little Proph, because that's usually my shows?

Edit: Also, WF, just over 1,000 words is a normal main event for a fully written show, and even Peep who summarizes his matches puts on 5,000 word shows (just copied and pasted his last one, and looked at the word count.)

Hey guys I haven't been on here in forever but saw the discussion over how many words and that kind of stuff. Is it okay for someone to not post everything so detailed and specifically like I for one like to summarize the details into a more complete story frame style instead of so much of a PBP style Book This. Is that okay or not?

Depends on your style of writing. I try to model mine after GCB's, so above 10,000 words is the normal thing.

EDIT: To the new guy, yes, everyone has different styles. Make it interesting and people will read.

Why is wrestlingfan posting his shows in parts when you can put more then 1000 words into one single post. Doesn't make sense at all.

Okay I posted my show. Sorry If Is posted in parts, I do that so people have an easier time reading it and not a block.

Okay my show had about 2000 words. Sorry if it's like that but I'm new to this and put as much effort if I could. If you're going to be a nitpick and criticize on a guy who's only just started doing this then so be it.
