best ECW match since its revival New Breed vs. Originals EXTREME RULES

That was what I call E C Fuckin W! That is what we need more of EVERY WEEK! You know how much good that would do for ECW and its old fans? That was crazy, hardcore, filled with weapons, shitload of people, and it was with the guys who know Extreme best, the Originals. Even though they lost, that match was F'n SWEET!!

i deff. agree with that. that was the best ECW match in a hell of a long time. It had everything ECW fans have been missing. If only they had that match at Wrestlemania, that could fo quite possibly stole the show. if this happened every week, i see ECW lasting much longer than everyone expected.

i was just gettin ready to create a new thread about that match. thats exactly what ecw should be every week: i.e. fast - paced, action-packed, and above all HARDCORE. how sweet was it to hear those old E-C-DUB!! E-C-DUB!!!! chants and joey styles say OH MY GOD!!!! even though i hate the elijah express (what kind of a finisher is some gay running knee lift thing), that was bad ass when he put sabu headfirst through that table w/ it. that double leg drop by rvd and sabu was sick too. i thought it was a disgrace to see guys like tommy dreamer and the sandman (who in the past have taken 3d's through tables, multiple cane shots, trash can shots, and God knows what else and still kick out) but get beat by kevin fucking thorn and his walking stick. anyways, vinnie mac... good job booking this match and letting the extremists go out and do what they do best, and please don't let this just be a one time thing. WE WANT HARDCORE!!!!!!

I was thinking the exact same thing as I watched last night. That was by far the best match since "ECW" was revived. I was a little concerned that once the weapons were brought out, that the New Breed guys would not be able to carry themselves, but they did ok. Hopefully, that match will show the booking team that the crowd really does still want to see hardcore wrestling. Maybe, just maybe, we will get to see more REAL hardcore matches in the weeks to come.

I don't understand why everyone is going so bananas over this match. It was decent at best. A truly good hardcore match isn't one that just involves random weapons being flung at people with no rhyme or reason, a good hardcore match is one that makes you stand up and shout HOLY SHIT at your TV in disbelief that someone would do that to their bodies.

It was okay, definately the best thing on ECW since like last summer. But I wouldn't call it the best new ECW match, check out some of the matches on the second disc of the Extreme Rules DVD, their are some pretty good matches their. I loved the Big Show vs. Ric Flair ECW title match last July or whatever, I mean how often if ever will you see Ric Flair in a match involving barbed wire two by fours and thumbtacks?

Also it seemed like it took forever to get those two tables in the ring. It literally took Sandman and Sabu the entire match to get the tables set up, with Kevin Thorn or Matt Striker striking at them whenever they tried to set a table up. Sandman was probly shouting at Striker to back the fuck up and let him set up the god damn table for the fans who almost had an orgasm at the sight of a table on ECW again. I even heard some ECW chants, proving the fan base is still there and if Vince decided to stop wiping his ass with ECW's legacy, maybe the show could score above a 1.0

But yeah, if the WWE knew fucking anything at all about ECW they'd make every single match like that one last night.

that whole show was the best ECW Show i'v seen in a long time and that extreme rules match was crazy. ECW is finally coming good and lets hope they keep this up, i think Snitsky is a good gimmick too, he really does look like a crazy man and his music is weird.

The only one that I've truly liked is the Holly/RVD one where he slied his back open. It was good but it would'nt have been half as memorable if the accident haddnt occured. I enjoyed the RVD/Sabu ladder match as well. But the match itself was a complete fuck up.

aint no way we are going see anymore of these kinds of matches, vince probably took one look at how burke almost blew out his knee n say fuck that ecw is dead. It pains me to say it but i doubt we will see another hardcore match for awhile.

Nah, that was Burke's own fault. He just landed wrong, stuff like that happens all the time. Still, I just have to say that the match was definately the best since ECW returned. It reminded me a lot of the old days. hopefully we will see more of this and Vince won't ruin it.

The match was awsome def ECW at its best,Props go to Malenko and co for putting together a great match,and if reports of Vince being more then thrilled with it himself are true then maybe we will be seeing more of these type of matches

Since The Originals won at Mania they probably wanted to prove that The New Breed could hold their own & actually win in one of The Originals types of matches.

It was awesome of course, best since the return. BUT they can't do this everyweek and won't even try and make them. When Dreamer, Sandman and Sabu were getting beaten to a pulp every week they were 10 years younger, i think if you asked them in all honesty if they feel they wanted to do this every week they would say no. Don't get me wrong of course we want to see it, but i don't want to see Dreamer die in the ring. Once a month maybe, but they simply cannot do this every week, no-one can. It's a wonder more ECW guys didn't get seriously injured when it was still running.

I agree, best match, the Tommy Dreamer and Test match wasn't bad either, but i'm also never gonna forget the very first match when it came back.....Sabu vs Roadkill! I think there should be atleast 1 match a night that is Extreme Rules....kinda makes WWECW what it is then....and I say WWECW because it will NEVER be what it once was....
