Ben Affleck is the new Batman

I would have thought that Taylor fucking Lautner just got cast as batman. The more important casting decision is for Lex (if he's in it).

Affleck is actually a decent actor. He'd be fine playing Bruce Wayne/Batman.

The script on the other hand is the deciding factor

MOS's script was about as good as a Garrett Bischoff match. So if that's what your hedging your bets on, I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Supposedly the rumor is that WB really wants Affleck to direct the Justice League movie, but Affleck told them he doesn't direct movies if he's also not acting in them, so next thing you know we get Affleck cast as Batman in MoS 2 & WB is now one step closer to getting Affleck as the director for Justice League.

I'd say it was more of a Jay Bradley match script. Potential but didn't really do much

All the mental breakdowns are making me happy. I hope he goes and kills it. I am now actually kind of excited for this film because it will never be as bad as the fanboy's are already claiming it will be. This will be one of the best social experiments ever.

While Daredevil (especially the extended version) is better than people give it credit for, I do not want Ben Affleck as Batman.

Just because of the Daredevil factor? That seems silly given that Ben has shown in more recent times that he is capable of playing characters with some of the complexity of the Bruce Wayne/Batman conundrum.

Plus Daredevil seemed to be pretty shit across the board and was made over 10 years ago now.

Absolutely fucking abysmal decision. You'd think the piss poor job he did as Daredevil, who he's roughly ten billion times more suited to play, would have convinced the studio otherwise. Then again, I'm of the opinion that a good Bruce Wayne/Batman has never been committed to film, so Affleck might have the chance of taking Bale's title of "best of a bad bunch." Kevin Conroy shits on all of them from great heights.

No, I'm just not enthused by Ben Afleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman.

So why bring up Daredevil then? That's twice now someone has referenced Ben Affleck and Daredevil, then say Daredevil isn't a factor, I'm getting confused by this trend.

They actually asked Affleck to be Superman a while back as well.

He sort of was in Hollywoodland. Or at least he played an actor who had played Superman. George Reeves I think?

Michael Clarke Duncan and, I can't believe I'm saying this, Colin Farrell were fine in Daredevil. Everybody else was either incredibly miscast (Jon Favreau as Foggy fucking Nelson!) or just plain shit (Jon Favreau as Foggy fucking Nelson!).

Didn't know Ben was doing the casting for the film too? ;-)

If you look at the directors track record, it shouldn't be a shock that Daredevil isn't well liked.

The problem, as I'm sure you're well aware, wasn't that Afflect was castin' the film, it was that he was cast in the film.
