You know what it is funny? Everybody that is currently complaining is gonna watch it at the theaters and some more than once. Just relax and give the guy a shot... The problem was being way too soon to do a reprise but he'll be just fine.

For me, Affleck's problem is less his acting skill and more his look. He has a down-trodden, sad-sack visage about him that has no business being Bruce Wayne/Batman, particularly if they are going with a slightly older and wiser Batman.
That Batman requires a confident but aloof performance, with a hint of remaining inner conflict, and I have yet to see Affleck produce such a character.

The real reason I'm willing to give him a chance, because of another superhero icon (and I ain't talking DD)...
There are three guys who have made big screen attempts at Bruce Banner / Hulk. Eric Bana and Ed Norton both went in with apparently great credentials to pull off Puny Banner and yet the only one that critics and fanboys alike have liked in the role is Mark Ruffalo - a guy whose back catalog far from suggested that he would have much chance succeeding were the previous two had failed.
Affleck appears to have gotten over the earlier up-his-own-backside part of his career were his films were as bad as his relationships were high profile. He has been Mr Consistent this past few years - both behind and in front of the camera... mayhap he deserves to be given a chance here!

If this leads to Affleck directing Justice Leauge, I'm willing to sit through the inevitable mess Snyder is going to create. If Snydet makes this work, I'll be genuinely shocked. And no, Affleck isn't the problem.

I fear he will be. I've never cared for anything Affleck has ever done, specifically in front of the camera & one of my major issues with the Man Of Steel was the poor casting & lack of really solid acting to drive home the newly revamped story & effects.
Since Batman is my favorite comic book story of all time it just seems like a litle bit of a let down considering The Dark Knight Trilogy was done so well & the studios handled the story/characters so well. & IMO The Dark Knight Trilogy were really the best comic book/action films ever made & how that genre of film should be done. & I think that many people including myself were hoping they would handle the reintroduction of the character with the same amount of care.
But depending on how the trailer looks I will most likely at least see The Justice League Movie which he is also slated to play Batman in as of now.

He is, or at least was. He acted in dozens of TV series & movies from '78 to '95 when, it looks like, he decided to stick with just voice acting from there on out, where he's made a pretty good living for himself over the past 20+ yrs. as the voice of arguably the most popular superhero of all time.

Just make it all the parts of the JL are Ryan Reynolds, it would be fucking hilariously bad as a movie, but I almost want to see that trainwreck
