Angle Unmasks the Aces & Eights VP; Revealed to be D'Lo Brown

it will be a MASSIVE swerve, Kurt Angle will be indentified as the leader of ACes and 8S. The clubhouse footage and unmasking on Impact was just another swerve, filmed by Aces and 8s themselves. I see Abyss being involved, but as himself, Chris Park, not as the Abyss character

It will be ODB 8)

Just kidding.. If TNA really wanted some news they would throw a ton of money at Paul Heyman and make i him but don't see that happen but I could see them throwing a ton of money at Goldberg but again don't see him returning as a heel.

I'm sure it is someone on the TNA roster but would be cool if it was someone who never was and Kurt remember them from his WWF days - even an allie of Kurt angle. Maybe it's his brother Eric Angle - oh it's true

It's hard to make out, at least for me, who Angle unmasked. There has been plenty of speculation, and I do agree there will be some kind of swerve. Is it Joe, Ray, D'Lo? I can see the former two, but the latter not so much, even if they have similar builds. I wanna say that it could be Ray if he wins the Championship, if said match is prior to the TNA vs A&8's match. But I hope whoever it may be, it makes a huge impact. This has been going on too long and something needs to turnaround.

The first thing I'm wondering about is how TNA explain why Angle has not revealed who it is yet, I'm guessing they are going to go with him being kidnapped and maybe getting free at the end of next weeks Impact to reveal who it is.

It's not Bischoff has we was playing the President and I think he'll still be revealed in that role as this angle has his fingerprints all over it.

If they try to at least stick to the body type of the VP then I really can't see it being anyone but Parks, which is another dud reveal for this group.......Unless TNA have signed Batista on the quiet.

when he is shown sitting, the body (chest) matches Hogan's..

the voice accent sounds very much like Bischoff, and sometimes like Val Venis..

based on Angle's reaction after the mask came off, it seems like it would be Samoa Joe, Park, Sting, Steiner or Hogan..

i still think it's Brian Knobbs (nasty boys), because of Angle's reaction and he's also a big-time real life friend of Hogan

and i'm being serious, no need to delete my post

Scott Steiner is to small, he's not that big as VP. And Scott Steiner is a piece of shit to and can barely move so he's not in Aces and Eights.

Wont be Steiner, he burnt his bridges.

Val Venis, or Knobbs? Are you high? They did that 2 years ago, it was met with the loudest boos in history. They wont make that mistake twice.

Joe? Hes was to small and hes already on Stings team.

Its Parks, even when Angle hit him it sounded like Parks grunting.

It's Abyss. Who else could it be? No one else in TNA has a build like that. This whole angle started out good, but quickly went down hill. There really isn't anyway to salvage it. I hope after it is over that they just concentrate on the wrestling aspect of the show. A simple premise like I am the best and you can't beat me and making a clear effort to have all the titles meaning something again. This way like real sports (boxing, MMA) it becomes all about the titles and the quest to be the best- like it is in real sports which is what pro wrestling (to some extemnt) should be emulating. Also, TNA needs to stop with the factions! It has been so long since we haven't had a Mega faction in TNA that I can't remember the federation being without one. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome and sadly this has been TNA for the past 7 or 8 years now. In order (I think) Sports Entertainment Extreme, Planet Jarrett, Main Event Mafia, Frontline, The British Invasion, The World Elite, Fortune, Immortal and now Aces and Eights. Are there any that I am missing? If so, let me know. TNA really needs to end this obsession with factions. A faction should be no more than four people and there really shouldn't be any more than one faction at a time. If there is only one or (MAYBE) two factions (and they are small) it makes them unique (the four horsmen, the original version of the n.W.o., Degeneration X)and it would certainly make that group of wrestlers stand out from the rest of the pack. Now, I am not saying you that there can't be wrestlers who are friends and help eachother out from time to time, but these massive factions never work out. It's just overkill and TNA has been overkilling the overkill when it comes to this subject for years upon years upon years now! On a more positive note we'll be getting the Bound For Glory series in a few more months- which was F'n AWESOME last year! So, we (hopefully) will ALWAYS have that to look forward to :)

If TNA was smart and had a good relationship with bischoff they would cross promote with bischoff's show the devils ride could make for some good tv.

Out of Kayfabe, that was Chris Parks.

Looked like him, moved like him, sounded like him.

As for within Kayfabe? I think Impacthis week had some GREAT stuff.

Angle's gonna be AWOL 'til Lockdown, so he can't 'tell' anyone.

Matt Morgan showing up, I think is a deliberate red herring. AJ's change in appearance could be too.

Joe would be a massive swerve but I don't see it happening.

If I was booking it, I'd go with one of 2 options...

1) VP is Abyss. But NOT Joseph. Kayfabe-wise, they're still brothers. If TNA could pull off having someone master the role of Abyss, then the reaction to Joseph and 'Chris' coming face-to-face in the ring would be awesome.

2) VP is irrelevent, as it's just a small swerv on he way to reveal the Higher Power is Dixie Carter...

IF you go to TNAwrestling's YouTube Page and look up the video for Kurt Angle Unmasks The VP Of Aces&8's listen carefully as Angle attacks the biggest dude towards the end of the video, you clearly hear who appears to be Abyss{a.k.a Joseph Parks} yelling out ''Ouch, Ouch, Ouch'' as Kurt is attacking him until Kurt is then taken out by DOC, Anderson & Briscoe.....

for those of you who don't know...

even though Abyss & Joseph Parks have Seperate Impact Wrestling Profiles on Impact Wrestling's Roster Page they are actually the same person.

Would love for it to be Kevin Steen, but I doubt anyone in the IMPACT Zone would know or care who is. In the big sense of things, has to be Bully Ray. That would explain why he was in the office with his "brother" Devon. Bully Ray beats Hardy at Lockdown and becomes new World Champion. Seems pretty clear cut to me.

it can't be Bully Ray. He was in the ring. How hard is that for people to understand. If it was Bully Ray, then TNA would have to explain how he was in 2 places at once

Not only that, but EVERYONE and their dog thinks it's Ray. It's so, blatant as a possibility that It would end up as a complete non-swerve. Ray is too obvious at this point. Plus he's over as hell and has MONTHS before they need to think about doing anything with Bully Raymond other than him being bad-ass.

But, overall, as about 4 or 5 people have pointed out.

Ray. Was. In. The. Ring.

Todd, Taz and Tenay all went insantly from the post matc celebration to Angle's assault. To my knowedge Ray's character has not displayed teleportational skills before.

If Ray's a possibility then so is Mike Tenay.

I am a newb to the forum but was compelled to join based solely on this thread.

Even though it is quite obvious that D-Lo is at least playing the part, body type doesnt matter and they could change it up at any stage. But..... Havent they set this up to be D-Lo?

I remember something about the whole Wes Brisco in gutcheck being tainted by the fact that Al Snow didnt show up to judge after supposedly being jumped, and who took his place? D-Lo. Wes not only won his gut check match (conveniently against Garrett) but got a TNA contract. Surely that all happened as background to the story of D-lo being revealed as VP. If I am missing anything though, please correct me!

At no point during the broadcast was it said that Angle's break in to the clubhouse was live. Which tends to be specified. Also, keep in mind the VP angle is essentially being played just like The Higher Power from back in the Ministry days. Just to add more to that, Bully Ray happens to be playing a story very similar to that of Triple H. When the Higher Power was revealed, Mr. McMahon was on screen as the unveiling occurred.

In this thread, it's been pointed out that Bully Ray's face turn occurred after he failed to win the Bound For Glory series despite Jeff Hardy being hurt. Whether Ray is the VP or not, the most likely scenario is that he and Brooke will presumably turn on Hulk. Whether they join Aces And Eights or happened to have been orchestrating them, is debatable. But all signs point to the heads of Aces and Eights being some of Immortal's big boys.

True enough, but Taz reacted to it 'as live'.

That's what I mean. I think it's TOO likely and TOO many signs point to it.

I can see Brooke turning on Ray TBH.

Loudnessbomb, I agree, it did look a lot like D'lo was being set up as the VP. He's DEFINITELY been behind the mask at certain points... Perhaps D'lo was going to be the wedding reveal and they thought Taz was better.

I'm hoping for a Dixie Carter heel turn. TNA have got a lot of people speculating and talkng about the angle... Kudos to 'em for that.

I'm so going to LOL if it's Ray. It will keep know it alls like you from spewing their ignorance on the internet. You act like the segement couldn't been taped? SMGDH.

Of course the segment was taped.
However.

Did Taz say "What was Kurt doing earlier in this taped segment?", Did Mike Tenay say "Earlier today this happened.". Did they question Angle's whereabouts and show what happened earler???

NO. Taz said "What's Angle think he's doing?"

Angle's actions were shown as being contemporaneous with Sting's search for the perfect 'Team TNA'. This is an industry that had people film segments MONTHS in advance 15 years ago. The program as it goes out, is intended to be viewed sequentially, That's why any bits that were filmed 'earlier' have it written in big, easy to read letters at the top of the screen. If any bits are supposed to be out of sequence it's explained, slowly and carefully for the hard of thinking.

Greetings all from New Zealand.
I think it can only be Parks based on the size etc. Doubt they'd use D'lo.
Not known enough anymore.
AJ story was a Red Herring.
Also I had my suspicions about Bully all along , but as he was in the ring No its not him. However the thing that has always made me wonder if it was him in the past is this:
In all the attacks when hes come to the rescue & chased the Aces & Eights off into the backstage area he always seems to come back unscathed?
I mean hes one guy. He runs into the back stage area after a group of guys and they don't jump him back there? That is weird & has always bugged me.
Anyone else though about it?

You are correct. It's most likely going to be Bully Ray as the VP. I hope it will be just so Spinebreaker will have egg yolk on his face.

You know what? I hope it's Ray too. Clearly it's incredibly important to your life as a whole. So jut for you and your future mental health, I'm rooting for Bully.

Eric Bischoff, D'lo and Abyss have all had turns behind the mask. But as far as who it will be revealed as... TNA has done a fairly good job with this part of the story, There's about 6 people it *could* be, though a couple are fairly obvious red herrings...

What are you talking about? Bischoff has never been behind the VP's mask. You just proved what I knew all along. You don't know what the heck you're talking about. I can't wait to rip you when it's Bully behind the mask.

I'm not thinking that the vp that was unmasked was Bully. I am thinking thats more likely hes perhaps either the president/ higher power or he is a memeber that ahs just not been revealed yet. A kind of "sleeper" agent within tna.

In the real world of course she would turn on him; he's 17 years older than him. I expect that they have he turn on him too. However, I wouldn't put it past the old men's club to allow her to remain at her side because to them all women are just objects to show off and own.
