He clearly did experiment with steroids in the past. Has anyone seen the John Cena "My Life" DVD? If you have, you would have noticed how huge and abnormal Cena was before he got into Professional Wrestling. He's probably clean now though.
Also, I know you people are trying to create discussion, but at the expense of a man who just passed away? That's not cool. It's not even funny. We know Test took drugs, we know he's a hypocrite and from the sound of things, he probably wasn't a real nice guy either. But that's still no excuse for insulting a dead person.
It's not like Test actually murdered someone. In that case, then it would be okay to make fun of a person who was the cause of another death. But I do hope Test's family and friends get through this tough time.

What a Shocker. Hopefully its not another drugs/steriod related death in wrestling. Here comes the black cloud again. People should read JRs latest blog, he talks about him, pretty interesting. He met with him at Wm24, and he seemed to be in good spirits, and was probably going to leave wrestling soon. But he was in rehab, didnt know about it. WWE was helping him and he seemed to have done really well in the rehab..I think he never that much of a fair shot in WWE. He was mega pushed and somewhat likeable early in his career until hhh and steph screwed him on the storylines and somewhat off the air too by that inadvertedly as dx became the focus. He sort of bounced back between midcarder and main events at time. He was pretty decorated in that time though won a few different titles, except for world. I think when he came back in his ECW run with his new attitude and look he seemed sort of interesting, i dont recall why they let him go, maybe because of his abuse problems? In tna he didn't do much, i dunno what they were trying to do with him in tna, but i guess he had those drug problems still lingering, sad..RIP

Holy crap!!! I was watching a wrestling video on youtube when I saw a comment that said "RIP TEST" I thought that the person was joking. Then I came to the site and I see Test Andrew Martin has died on the front page, I was shocked!!! I give condolences to his family and friends and I will never forget the attitude era where he almost married Stephanie and the times when he and Stacy Kiebler were together. RIP TEST!!!

I was with a friend, and his sister texted us the news. I thought it was a joke because she doesn't follow wrestling anymore, not since the attitude era. And why would she pick Test of all people?
The text said "former WWE Champion Test found dead" and he's never been world champ, so I was sure it was a joke. Then I checked here and there it was.
I've never been a HUGE fan of Test, but I did like him; especially during his "Testicles" phase. It's sad that the life of another talent has been cut short.

Not to make this a Cena thread but how can u say Cena has done the juice? we all know his work ethic is second to none, loves the industry he is in and has worked his ass off since well before he ever entered the wrestling/entertainment industry. He started working out in high school, got a college degree in working out, and works out as often as possible. He knows how to get built withOUT roids.
Stop tryin to witch hunt John Cena. If you dont like him fine but respect him. Hes been anti roids since day one why would he be lying since then???

I was truly sad and shocked to here of the death of one of the guys that welcomed me into the wrestling world. He seemed like such a good man and all over wrestlers myspace's our fans mourning over the loss of him. It's truly sad in my eyes that he never got that push alot of us hoped for and sadder that as the years go bye he will fade away and will only be a distant memory.

I just found out not too long ago that Andrew "Test" Martin was found dead in his apartment. He was only 33. I beg and implore the wrestling industry to do something about all these young wrestlers dying too early. Enough is enough. The bosses out there need to monitor these wrestlers more closely and find out exactly what they're doing or taking in their spare time or on the clock. Something is not right here. Test is the latest in a long line of wrestlers who died way before their time and it has gone way too far. As I said earlier, something is not right here and it's time to fix it.

Why the hell didnt RAW make any acknowledgment, tribute or at least a "In Memory of" photo during the whole broadcast? I think that's really disrespectful. He did alot for the company and they dont have the intention of at least mentioning his name> Man he didnt go on a killing spree so why not honor him in some way?

This is sad and all, but wtf...why the big deal? He was a shit wrestler, why should RAW bother to acknowledge a shit wrestler? Do you want them to acknowledge EVERY one who dies who's been in the ring? Seriously?
Because they don't want to get burned on this one like they did with Benoit.
A man dying at the age of 33 is rarely of natural causes. Drugs probably had a major part in his death, and the WWE wants to distance themselves from that as much as possible.
It's just good business.

I never thought anyone could use a running big boot as a finisher and look credible, but he was awesome at it.
Best match:- Love Her Or Leave Her match at SSlam '99 v Shane McMahon (and essentially, the MSP as well). Good street fight, was the first time we ever saw the elbow through the announce table by Shane O Mac, and honestly made Shane who he is today, giving us numerous memorable Shane O Mac matches in later years. It's a shame the same can't be said for Test tbh. I didn't think that literally just under 10 years later he'd be dead.

It’s with a very heavy heart that I somehow search for the right words to express my deepest sorrow over the loss of yet another of my wrestling brothers, Andrew Martin, aka Test.
I met Andrew, along with his equally huge friend George, at the Planet Hollywood restaurant in downtown Toronto in 1996. WWE exec, Carlo DeMarco brought them both up to meet me and to see if I’d be interested in possibly training them as wrestlers. Andrew was, as my father would say, a fine specimen; 6’ 6”, lean, hard and handsome with a big, boyish smile. I wasn’t actually looking for any more prospects but I saw something in him and told him if he could get over to Calgary I’d personally teach him, free of charge.
I was working a full WWE schedule back then and was preparing to begin teaching, or fine tuning, some of the many young wrestlers that were starting to pop up everywhere. I instantly liked Andrew and I can smile now at the memory of coming home from the road, physically exhausted, only to remember that I’d promised Andrew a real match in my dungeon. I found myself reluctantly wrapping my knees and lacing up my boots so I could wrestle Andrew on my precious day off. That day Andrew went from dreaming of being a wrestler to actually working with the WWE World Champion in his home. I wrestled Andrew for over a half hour and I knew back then that, with his size and ability, he was going to go far in the business. Unfortunately, my days in the WWE came to an end just as Andrew’s time was beginning. I’d gotten most of my students tryouts at the Raw TV taping in Ottawa, the day after the infamous screwjob in Montreal, and so our paths took a fork in the road. Even with me gone, Carlo, Edge, Christian and my bother Owen helped guide Andrew and he earned his spot on the WWE roster. I lost contact with Andrew for a time, but every now and then I’d catch him on TV and I felt very proud of him.
Death brought Andrew and I back together when we saw each other at Bryan “Krush” Adams’ funeral two years ago. It was during that sad, dark time - after the recent losses of Sherri Martel, Bam Bam Bigelow and the blackness of the Chris Benoit tragedy - I was hearing that Andrew was having drug addiction problems again and I was fearful he might be next.
I saw a need to keep in touch with him and do all I could to encourage him to save himself, and maybe some others too. We renewed our friendship and stayed in touch.
This past November I had the luck of doing a wrestling tour in France for two weeks with Andrew and he seemed to be a new man. He’d completed WWE sponsored rehab and had a new lease on life. Andrew clearly had his demons on the run and we talked about him becoming the poster child for wrestlers that desperately needed a voice urging, “If I can beat this, so can you!” Andrew convinced me he had the commitment and the determination to make a difference. I had a great time with him on that tour.
Following the tour I had painful knee replacement surgery and now it was Andrew calling me to see if I was doing okay. A few weeks ago he talked of coming to visit me here in Hawaii. He seemed so strong and focused that I never thought to question him about how he was doing. I again urged him to use his experience to reach out to the many wrestlers who are still losing their battle with drug addiction.
Now I wish so much that I could’ve somehow known that Andrew was losing his grip on his addictions, beginning to slip. I failed to see the signs of him losing a battle that I thought he’d already won. My heart has been heavy since the news of his passing. In our last phone call, a few weeks ago, I kidded him about how he worked that entire France tour and never took one bump and I smile at the memory of his deep booming laugh echoing over the phone. That’s how I choose to remember my friend. I’m sorry I didn’t see his pain and suffering; had I known I’d have tried harder to save him. He slipped and we lost one of the good ones. Nobody has anything but the nicest things to remember about Andrew Martin. I will miss him. He was a dear friend, one of very few I had left in a profession where too many die too young. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his entire family. Somehow, as hard as we all tried, we lost another good soul forever.
