Andrew "Test" Martin Found Dead. Pay respects and share memories here

I remember reading a blog of his about a year or so ago, after leaving WWE, praising the positive effects of steroids. How many does it take for the business to learn?!

RIP Test :(

main page hasn't confirmed this yet, but pwinsider and 1wrestling have both posted the same story (albeit with 1wrestling being only the jist of it).

Should this turn out to be the truth, I am saddened, but not neccessarily surprised. As somebody pointed out, he was a staunch supporter of steroids, and even advocated TNA not administering drug testing, lest they get submitted to legislators, and getting into it with management for telling him they thought his look was too big. Still sad, though. Hopefully this year won't turn out like '07.

Tampa - A former WWE wrestler has been found dead in his Tampa apartment.

Andrew Martin, better known as Test, was found dead by Tampa Police around 8:00 Friday night.

Police were called to his home for a welfare check after a neighbor said she could see into his apartment at Post Harbor Apartments and noticed that Test appeared motionless for several hours.

Right now, Police say they don't think there was any foul play involved.

An autopsy will be done to determine the cause of death.

Andrew "Test" Martin was a former World Wrestling Entertainment Intercontinental, European, and Hardcore Champion, as well as a Tag-Team Champion.

Most recently, Martin worked for NWA-TNA Wrestling under the name "The Punisher" Andrew Martin.

Test was 33 years old, he died just days before his 34th birthday.

It's been confirmed on a local newspaper sight(? at least i think its local) but its still an official news website.

It's not so much the steroids, I think it has more to do with all the painkillers and muscle relaxers that they take. Alot of them would take them like they were candy which is obviously not good for you. If the dosage was 1 or 2 a day they were taking 10, you factor that into the other recreational drugs that many of them use and that's why this stuff happens. More people have done steroids in the NFL, track and field and MLB the past 20 years than professional wrestling and I don't think any of them died young so I think it shows that its more than just the roids.

Anyway don't want to speculate on how it happened but unfortunately drugs probably played a part in it. It's too bad, I can't believe how young he was. It's hard to believe he was only 23 when he debuted, he looked so much older than that. RIP

This would have been more intresting if Test had become the star that he was supposed to be. Nearly 10 year's ago I would have put money on Test becoming a somebody.

RIP Test.

Quite suprised that he was just short of 34, I really thought alot would happen for him. He was a guy who was one short of a Triple Crown/Grand Slam had he still been in the WWE. Just a real shame :( But it's really unbelieveable about how many have died so early and in the past 2 years!

The one thing I'm thinking is, will the WWE have any finger pointing at all? Because with all that's going on about wrestling death, many would easily blame the WWE. But with that schedule they have on for wrestlers, I'm not suprised!

:wtf?. it might be a big schedule but your forgetting one important thing. They choose to be wrestlers knowing what they are supposed to do. If they couldn't cope with the schedule they don't have too. You can't blame it on that.

He also hasn't been part of the WWE roster for two years, even then he was only back for 6 months.

He also did a blog on how awesome steroids are. So the moral will probably be this: ''Drugs are bad''.

Wasn't he part of The Union? Y'know, that stable that lasted for one night. They all carried 4x4s. I think Foley and Shamrock were in it.

Yeah, Big Show will dedicate his next Mania loss to Test. Mick Foley will dedicate his next special enforcer role to Test and Ken Shamrock has got busted for steroids in memory of Test.

It's a shame really, it took his death for the Testicles to return.

And they'll always have that beautiful moment where they triumphed over The Acolytes, Viscera and Big Bossman.

I used Wikipedia for that. Obviously.

Edit: The there was his stint as "The Punisher" Andrew Martin.

I remembered who they beat, because I'm an original Testicle. I won't be jumping on the bandwagon now. I was there from the beginning.

Six years ago, my brother predicted that Jeff Hardy, Edge and Test would be the stars of tomorrow. I'm not sure how to comment on that now.

eh, 2 out of 3 ain't bad. I actually predicted Test and Edge to main event a WM many years back, silly me.

It's sad, but in today's, or more accurately the last 2 decades of wrestlings drug filled days, any wrestler who was a part of it then who dies suddenly now is not really surprising anymore.

I wonder how Kelly Kelly is taking it?

R.I.P Test
very sad to hear about another wrestlers death
Im sure they will have some sort of rememberance for him this week on RAW
