Being a vegetarian now I eat veggie bacon. It taste and smells just like real bacon. I put it on alot of my sandwitches. Friends of mine who are huge bacon fans try it and say it taste like real bacon too. For any bacon fan out there I suggest you give it a try Morning Star is a good brand.

I have never met a person who ate baconaise have any one on here tried it?

Pork in general rocks - bacon, ham, gammon, chops, sausages and all the varieties of each and every version is wholly distinct and delicious. I'm not sure of Chinese Restaurants the world over but should any of you ever be in Northern Ireland I recommend that you try Char Siu, even more moreish than bacon.

Everything in moderation my good man, the Scottish are not renowned for their obesity and yet they have the most unhealthy diet in the World allegedly - even folks from the Southern States would be going "You're deep frying what!?!"

I might be the only person I know that likes bacon as chewy as possible, i.e., without it being raw. Everyone I've ever spoken to has espoused that I am insane, and then proceeded to crispify the shit of their bacon. Anyone else go for it chewy?

The bacon over here is that bit thicker, so many Brits and Irish are very partial to a chewy quality. They might actually outnumber the charred brigade. Personally, I like both, generally I prefer it closer to the crisp side for sarnies and slightly less well done with chips (fries to you guys across the pond).
