Coming from a family where my dad and his brothers have been in the culinary business since they were born, I have a passion for food. Cooking it, seeking it out, experimenting with it, and of course, eating it. Seriously, who doesn't love eating? It's the first thing I think about in the morning and the last thing I think about at night and, I'm sure I'm not the only one.
So, simple questions really: What's your favourite cuisine? Whether it be Italian, French, Indian, Japanese or whatever, tells us which and why you like it. Also, what, if you could choose, would be the last meal you could have before bowing out? (appetizer, main course and dessert)
For my favourite cuisine, it's a toss up between three.
So, out of these three cuisines, it's hard to choose. I love the Italian simplicity, I adore the Indian diversity and I swear by Thai food's powerful flavours. Gun to head, I'd probably chose Italian but, ask me tomorrow after having eaten a curry and my answer may be different.
As for my last supper, I'd want to keep it simple.
For starters, I'd definitely go with my trusty old Chicken Satay. Not the commercial, westernised version of it, but the traditional one. Then, for main course, I'd want Chicken Thighs wrapped in Bacon and stuffed with Sundried Tomatoes and Philadelphia. And, with a side of Mushroom Risotto. Phwoar, my mouth's gone all watery just thinking about it. Finally, for dessert, I'd go for a White Chocolate and Raspberry Cheesecake. It's not the manliest dessert out there but, it's delicious. Oh, and throughout the entire meal I'd also have to have this within arm's length:
For those of you who have no idea what that is, you're missing out! Anyway, I can't wait to here your responses. Of you go!
Footnote: I strongly advise having a snack accesible to you at all times as writing a response may make you extremely hungry. I made four trips to the kitchen.

- Indian: Having Indian roots, from a young age I always liked Indian food and spicy dishes. However, it wasn't until I visited India in 2008 that my view on Indian food, as a whole, completely changed. Indian street food will blow you away. Best snacks in the World, by far. Honestly, from dishes like Paneer Tikka (a cottage-like cheese cooked in tikka spices) to others like, Pani Poori (a small pastry, of sorts, filled with spicy water and chickpeas), all of it is absolutely scrumptious. And, not all of it is spicy. That is a common misconception with Indian food which isn't true, at all. Also, I have a soft spot for Basmati rice. It's so much better than conventional white rice.
- Italian: Simple ingredients that can make such complex flavours. That's how I'd define Italian food. The only real components in Italian food are tomatoes, garlic, olive oil and herbs. It really is amazing wha the Italians do with so little. Anyway, never have I had an Italian meal that I've not enjoyed or at least, appreciated. Well, there have been, but I blame the chefs. Risotto is my favourite dish, at the moment. It's so tasty and rich and packs a real punch when cooked well. Then, there's the obvious pizza and pasta which I absolutely would die for too. The fish in Italy is delicious, also.
- Thai: Thai food is sort of a new cuisin that's just popped up in recent years. It had been much overshadowed by Chinese and Japanese food but, now it is gaining in popularity and I know why. It's fucking awesome. The soups are so strong in flavour yet not overpowering. Chicken Satay is my favourite starter of all time and Thai red curry is fantastic when done with noodles. But, Thai food doesn't stop there. There's been hundreds of dishes I've had which has left me astounded at how good they are. I can't for the life of me remember what they're called but, afterall, who can really tell the difference between Tim Yong Gam and Yun Jing Fan?
