A Hall Of Fame For The True Heroes Of Wrestling, The Little People

Y 2 Jake

Slightly Autistic
The wrestlers & personalities who might not have been around for a long time, but their impact is still undeniable. Underrated wrestlers and former champions.

Koko B. Ware might get scoffed at in the WWE Hall Of Fame. Despite him doing what WWE wanted his to do, that being putting smiles on faces.

My first nomination is, naturally, David Arquette. Former world champion, last memorable WCW Champion, box office draw and the recipient of unjust criticism. Everybody remembers David Arquette. Not fondly, but what else do you really remember from WCW in 2000?

Nomination two leads off from my final question, Judy Bagwell. The original Diva and a former champion in her own right. She also helped pioneer a revolutionary new gimmick match. It's a shame Vince won't use others peoples gimmicks.

Mike Rotunda - didn't matter if he was booked face or heel, in tag matches or single matches, with or without a seemingly unfeasible gimmick, Rotunda just made it work. He always gave his best in the ring and jobbed whenever he was asked to. He helped put countless people over during his various stints in WCW and WWF. Never really given a lot of credit.

I renmber Scott Steiners Shoot on Ric Flair.

I renember the begining of the new WCW.

I renember when Kevin Nash walked down the ramp with his Wolfpac music playing & a bottle of beer in his hand with the fans going nuts & Jacknife Powerbombing Goldberg & Scott Steiner.

I renember the amazing match between Bill Goldberg & Scott Steiner at Fall Brawl 2000.

I renember Goldberg Spearing Vince Russo through a cage giving him a concussion.

I renmber Scott Steiner being WCW World Heavyweight Champion & carrying the company on his back during the dying months.

I could go on but ill end it there. I know this is not the topic but you just pissed me off with the comment on WCW.

I thought you meant the real little people, you know, Sky Low Low, Lord Littlebrook, Little Beaver and the Haiti Kid, midgets used to be a big part of pro wrestling, today, they kept only one around, and no, it's NOT Rey Mysterio, it's a shame really. But back to the topic, I would nominate Ralphus, Jericho's former bodyguard in WCW, I thought the man had tons of charisma, not to mention a flair for fashion of epic proportions.

This was a waste of a topic. Judy Bagwell in the HoF? Are you serious??? All she did was fuck up her sons career because he was too much of a bitch to handle his own issues. and Arquette would only make it in as a joke. Here's the joke: "Arquette makes it into the Hall of Fame because he was the single most ridiculous thing Bischoff/Russo did and it basically ended all credibility of WCW, thus helping McMahon buy the company"

McMahon would thank Arquette at the induction for ending WCW

PS: Nice job Obamartins. Couldnt have said it better myself

Surely you can't be serious. David Arquette??? Recipient of unjust criticism??? Box office draw???? The two most memorable things David Arquette has done with his career, and really the only two memorable things that I can think of, are becoming Mr. Courtney Cox and being WCW Champion. The remotest shread of dignity and credibility WCW had, any right to hold its held up with pride was obliterated the moment that they gave David Arquette one of the most coveted professional wrestling championships in the history of the industry.

Judy Bagwell..the original Diva and former champion in her own right? You really must be on some good stuff. This revolutionary gimmick she pioneered, exactly what was it? WWE did do something like that with Shelton Benjamin, only they didn't actually use his mother. It was only slightly less nauseating than what went on with Buff and his mama. Now, if your idea had been to come up with a hall of fame for the most shameful and darkest workers, angles and storylines in the history of the business, I'd completely agree. Judy Bagwell and David Arquette both deserve places.

So most of you have missed the point.

I hate it when people think I'm being literal. So you remember those minor details about the final year of WCW, so do I. But nobody really talks about then because most people don't remember them. It's because they were non events.

This was a waste of a topic. Judy Bagwell in the HoF? Are you serious???

No, I'm not. It's a HOF for people who don't deserve to be in a real Hall Of fame.

All she did was fuck up her sons career because he was too much of a bitch to handle his own issues.

But, but Bagwell was shit without his mother.

and Arquette would only make it in as a joke.

:icon_rolleyes:

Here's the joke: "Arquette makes it into the Hall of Fame because he was the single most ridiculous thing Bischoff/Russo did and it basically ended all credibility of WCW, thus helping McMahon buy the company"

Thank you for pointing that out to me. It's almost like I made a joke thread wothout being aware of the joke I'd made. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

McMahon would thank Arquette at the induction for ending WCW

Gregory Helms, Lance Storm & Booker T etc could well thank David Arquette for giving a little promotion towards a dying fed.

PS: Nice job Obamartins. Couldnt have said it better myself

I think you are both stupid to be honest.

Surely you can't be serious. David Arquette???

Don't call me Shirley.

Recipient of unjust criticism???

Of course. People still talk about him today. He's supplied us internet geeks with more entertainment than any of the other final few WCW World Champions.

Box office draw????

Scream.

The two most memorable things David Arquette has done with his career, and really the only two memorable things that I can think of, are becoming Mr. Courtney Cox and being WCW Champion.

So what you're saying is that he married an attractive woman and held a world title. It's safe to say he's the envy of everybody on this forum.

The remotest shread of dignity and credibility WCW had, any right to hold its held up with pride was obliterated the moment that they gave David Arquette one of the most coveted professional wrestling championships in the history of the industry.

Did you miss the previous year of WCW?

Judy Bagwell..the original Diva and former champion in her own right?

It's a fact. Sunny was probably the original Diva, well I'm just going to point out that Judy is older, with a title to her name.

You really must be on some good stuff.

Yeah, it's street name is irony.

This revolutionary gimmick she pioneered, exactly what was it?

Err, hello. Jud Bagwell On A Pole.

WWE did do something like that with Shelton Benjamin, only they didn't actually use his mother. It was only slightly less nauseating than what went on with Buff and his mama.

Judy was way more popular than Mamma Benjamin. That was also back when Shelton had some credibility, Bagwell never had any.

Now, if your idea had been to come up with a hall of fame for the most shameful and darkest workers, angles and storylines in the history of the business, I'd completely agree. Judy Bagwell and David Arquette both deserve places.

Sigh.

Yeah, some of you take pro wrestling way too seriously.

Anyway, the first name that comes to mind for me is Ralphus. The shit he and Jericho did together still ranks up there as some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen in the sport, if not THE funniest. It was Ralphus where Jericho finally took the turn from being just a great wrestler, to also being a great wrestler and entertainer.

This is a great idea, one of the wrestling maazines should pick it up. Call it the Hall of Lame or something. I've a few suggestions apart from those listed.

Hornswoggle. He's a dwarf dressed as a leprechaun with a water pistol, yet he has made Finlay, someone who has been in the business for 30 years, more popular than ever.

Jason Sensation. He came and did imressions with DX in what are considered some of the WWF's funniest segments ever against NoD and The Corporation.

Frankie the macaw and Damien the Snake. Frankie is the number one reason for Koko finding himself remembered enough to go in the actual hall of fame, and anybody watching wrestling at the time remembers when Damien was being crushed by a fat bastard.

Godfather's Hos I was interested to find out that these were often actually prostitutes, and they succeeded in getting the Godfather far more over than he was in his previous two guises. They also suceeded in giving Jerry Lawler an orgasm every week.
