7 Man Teams

TUFFY54

Getting Noticed By Management
Dream teams are a common thread on these forums. However, I can't help but notice that the ones people think up are almost always 4 or 5 man teams. With the WWE using more 7 on 7 matches these days, I thought it would be good to ask who would make up your ultimate 7 man team.

Who would you put on your 7 man dream team? You can use anyone from anytime, and pretend that everyone is in their prime. You can even give them a manager if you want.

Andre The Giant, Big Show, Undertaker, Kane, Great Khali, Yokozuna, Sid
Mangers: Bobby Heenan and Paul Heyman

A team like this would be beyond incredible. No one could stand up to them in a match. Even if they lost 5 guys in a match, I would still put any two of these guys up against most 7 man teams. Imagine Andre and Taker on the same side of a fight! These 7 guys have the size and strength to take on any combination of wrestlers imaginable. If you put their strength with the minds of Heenan and Heyman, their would just be no stopping them in a match.

What wrestlers would make up your 7 man dream team?

Note: Please give a reason. Otherwise, it is just spam.

okay, mine isn't made up of legends or anything like that, just7 wrestlers I enjoy.

CM Punk, Evan Bourne, Justin Gabriel, Kaval, Vance Archer, Chris Masters, and Jack Swagger.

most of these guys are nothing on their own, but put then together and you have a team that's got speed, power, technical ability, and some of thebest current pure strikers.

I actually like the whole fantasy team thread, I have 2 and I would put them in a match against each other:

Team 1 - The Mega Ego Maniacs - Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Jesse The Body Ventura, Superstar Billy Graham, The Rock, Y2J, & Big Papa Pump Scott Steiner.
The Manager Classy Freddy Blasie

Team 2 - The Brothers In Paint - Ultimate Warrior, Road Warriors, The Powers of Pain, & Demolition ( Ax & Smash )
The Manager Mr. Fuji

This match can be call "Roids War"

Bret Hart
Kurt Angle
Chris Jericho
Ric Flair
Eddie Guerrero
Shawn Michaels
Steve Austin

I went with the best technical and the best along wrestlers in my opinion. These guys could put on a classic match with anyone plus most of them are submission specialist. The way theses guys wrestled will always be my favorite style of wrestling.

Well mine actually sorta happened in ROH, but I'd add a few more guys.

Alex Shelley
Austin Aries
Roderick Strong

They were all in Generation Next, but then I'd add.
Chris Sabin
Christian Cage
Edge
Chris Jericho

With that group, you've got great chemistry with the tag teams, great high flying and innovative guys, but great submission wrestling as well.

I don't what the point of having a fantasy team is if they don't have opponents. I'd like to see a feud, so here we go

The Successful Politicians vs. The Hardworking Stars

*Captain*Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Kevin Nash, Triple H, Scott Hall, & Randy Orton

vs.

*Captain*Bret Hart, Stone Cold, The Rock, Undertaker, Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, & John Cena

This match would be EPIC if this ever happened and the build to it would probably be the most intense promo work ever. This has legendary written all of it but only if it was

1998 Shawn Michaels
1997 Hulk Hogan
1985 Ric Flair
1999 Kevin Nash
2003 Triple H
1995 Scott Hall
2008 Randy Orton
1994 Bret Hart
1998 Stone Cold Steve Austin
2000 The Rock
1997 Undertaker
2001 Chris Jericho
2006 Kurt Angle
2007 John Cena

How about Edge and Christian, The Hardys, The Dudleys, and Chris Jericho all teaming up against Motor City Machine Guns, The Young Bucks, The All-Night Express and Amazing Red in a 7 on 7 tag team tlc match, with all these guys in their prime. That would have been AMAZING

the Americans..
Patriot, Jack Swagger, Kurt Angle, Lex luger, Hulk Hogan, an the U.S Express (Rotunda and Windham) manager :Jimmy hart

Team Canada: Owen Hart, Brett hart, Jericho, Storm, Benoit, Edge an Christian

Team Japan: Great Muta, Jushin thunder Liger, Original tiger Mask, Ultimo Dragon, Masahiro Chono, Antonio Inoki, Hayabusa :manager Sonny Ono

Team Samoan: ROCK, RIKISH, YOKOZUNA , Umaga, Haku, the Wild samoans
manager: Capt Lou Albano

Team British: davey boy smith, Dynamite kid, William regal, Dave Taylor, Nigel MCguinnis, doug williams, Chris Adams

team Arrogant: Rick Martel, Rick rude, Dashing Cody Rhodes,HBK, adrian adonis, Val Venis,Rick Flair

Attitude Era: Stone Cold, The Rock, Kurt Angle, HHH, Undertaker, Mankind, HBK
vs
PG Era: John Cena, Randy Orton, Batista, Rey Mysterio, Edge, CM Punk, Jeff Hardy

Certainly cases could be made for Jericho or Kane to be there. Edge was sure, around during attitude era but his singles career was certainly better after 2006 (PG era).

Well......... I've got... well... a fued.

TEAM WWE John Cena, The Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, Triple H, Randy Orton, Edge and Batista
Manager: Vincent Kennedy McMahon

TEAM TNA Jeff Hardy, Sting, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Abyss, Matt Hardy, Christian Cage and Mr. Anderson
Manager: Hulk Hogan

This could be fued of the century. And with owners or managers managing their teams, it would make that much more interesting. 7 top guys from each wrestling company against each other with the winning company owning the losing won! There could only be 1 word to describe it: EPIC

I love this idea.

My team is not filled with the biggest names in the business, if I had wanted to make the ULTIMATE team I would have gone with The Rock, Angle, HBK etc, but I have put together a team of the wrestlers I would love to see in an alliance, if they were all in their primes.

1. Raven

The master of the mind games. One of the smartest, most vicious men in the business. The Raven character is perfect for leading the faction. A multi-time World Champion, Raven has the ability to control the minds of his followers and has formed alliances wherever he has been in The Flock, The Nest, The Gathering, Serotonin. Raven would dictate orders to the rest of the faction and use them to support his quest to become Heavyweight Champion

2. Sean O'Haire

The "Devil's Advocate" era Sean O'Haire is one of the biggest wastes of talent the WWE ever did. O'Haire has the size, power and look to be a major star. In this team, he would be the number 2, Raven's right hand man. Nearly as capable of getting into the minds of his opponent, and backing it up with excellent power and martial arts offense, as well as the devastating Seanton Bomb, O'Haire would be a long term Intercontinental challenger.

3. Mike Awesome

In his prime Mike Awesome was a monster. He was one of the most athletic big men ever to step into the ring, and would be perfect in the role of the Enforcer for this faction. His size would make him the perfect bodyguard who would accompany Raven to the ring, and he would be more than capable of being used as the wrecking machine to take out opponents backstage, or beat them to within an inch of their lives in the ring, leaving them easy prey for the Raven Effect DDT.

4. Chris Benoit

The team needs a submission expert, and in Benoit they have one. In his prime Benoit was a vicious wrestling machine, capable of leaving opponents lying in a crumpled mess on the mat after The Crippler locked in the Crossface or nailed multiple german suplexes. I could easily see Benoit under the control of Raven, who could use his to do his bidding and find the trigger to make Benoit snap in the ring and then refuse to release the Crossface on his opponents, only letting go when Raven gave the say so.

5 & 6. Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy

I would want the Hardyz in their gothic "New Brood" style, where they were more mysterious and more high flying than ever. Each faction needs a tag team, and the alternative attires of the Hardyz would fit in well with the grungey look of this faction. They would be unleashed on the tag-team division, and as we have seen recently Matt and Jeff are weak minded and would be unable to resist Raven's mind games as he promised them the tag-team titles.

7. Tara

Most factions have a diva, and in Tara you have the perfect woman for this team. Beautiful, vicious and deadly she would be the temptress who would dominate the womens division and accompany all the other team members to ringside. She already looks the part in her leather attire and would fit in perfectly.

The team would be called "The Revolution" and would all wear the mid 90's Raven ripped denim shorts and leather jackets, and be a dark and mysterious faction, entering the ring with flashing lights and all members (other than Benoit and Awesome) having their long hair wet and hanging over their faces (like Hardyz did as The New Brood). They would be heels

My Dream 7 on 7 match would be:

The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Chris Jericho, Edge and Christian, Kane and The Undertaker

V.S

Triple H, Kurt Angle, Randy Orton, Eddie Guerrero, CM Punk, Big Show and Umaga

I think this would be an awesome match! Can you imagine the build up?? Attitude HHH and Angle vs Attitude Rocky and Austin. Punk and Orton, ironically, are the two best heels in the business today and Edge and Christian would be awsome to see another tag team run with these two. Y2J...need I say more? Eddie in his last run would have been the perfect foil for Jericho of 2000. And last but by no means least, the four big guys...Kane of 1999 was the best big guy at the time and 97 Taker is possibly the best big guy ever! A heel Big Show is always brilliant, super scary and super dangerous and Umaga was my favorite heel of 2007 in his fueds with Cena, Lashley and Triple H and was always super intense in the ring.

Another team I could see working well together is a group of arrogant wrestlers who are jacked up steroid freaks, all with incredidbly ripped bodies and constantly posing and flexing.

This team would be The Reflections Of Perfection

The members would include

1. Rick Rude (Captain)
2. Scott Steiner
3. Rob Terry
4. Chris Masters
5. Batista
6. Val Venis
7. Ultimate Warrior

That is some serious roid rage on show in the ring! Eventually though, I could see Steiner getting too crazy and taking control of the faction

My 3rd choice for a team would be a faction containing some of the best wrestlers to come out of Canada, the team would be The Canadian Stampede

1. Bret Hart
2. Chris Jericho
3. Chris Benoit
4. Edge
5. Christian
6. Owen Hart
7. Lance Storm

Bret would captain the team and be in contention for the world title, with Edge & Christian and Storm/Jericho (The Thrillseekers) wrestling as singles and also as tag team.

With all men extremely capable wrestlers, and all worthy of at least a high mid-card position on the card, The Canadian Stampede would have a great chance of dominating whatever company they wrestled in. 5 of the members are former Multi-time World Champions, and Owen Hart and Lance Storm should have accomplished much more than they did in WWE.

Overall, I think this team is probably the strongest faction ever put together in professional wrestling, the list of accomplishments of all these wrestlers is frightening.

I have added up some of their title histories and as a 7 man team they have:

World title reigns (WWE/WCW/TNA/ECW) - 30

Intercontinental Title reigns - 26

United States Title reigns (WWE/WCW)- 14

Tag Team title reigns (WWE/WCW/ECW) - 32

European Title reigns- 6

Royal Rumble wins- 4

King Of The Ring wins- 4

Plus Hardcore title, TV title, Light Heavyweight titles and others

This team is all about success, and I think they would absolutely dominate professional wrestling. Think of the 4 Horsemen, Evolution, the nWo etc turned up to another level

The Bruisers

Kurt Angle- One of the all time technical greats

Mr Perfect-Another one of the all time technical greats

Vader- Up there with the toughest and biggest men in the business aswell as amongst my favourite wrestlers of all time:worship:

The Road Warriors- Perhaps the greatest tag time ever

Tazz-The Human Suplex Machine, the tazzmission, need i say more?

Big Bossman- Just because he was a straight up badass

Stone Cold (Leader)
CM Punk (Up and comer)
Y2J (Mouthpiece and best techincally)
Raven, Brian Pillman (Tag Team don't know but thin this would work)
Diesel (Enforcer)
Evan Bourne (Spot Monkey)

Seems like just random stars put together but I have no idea why I would have loved to see a faction like this. CM Punk, Raven and Y2J my 3 favourite superstars ever. Stone Cold in a program with CM Punk would be awesome as well, whether it be as a faction or against each other.

Raven (leader)
CM Punk (Right Hand Man)
Doink (Nut jub, I realise this isn't a role common in stables but bear with me)
Hardys although preferably their younger more athletic less drugged up selfs (tag team)
Abyss (Enforcer)
Tara (diva/knockout fitever)

Basically a team of misfits, I feel like Kane doesn't really fit in with the others but I couldn't think of any other enforcer types that would fit in with the gimmick. They could feud with:

Rock (Leader)
Dolph Ziggler (Right hand man)
Jack Swagger (Enforcer type I reckon he could pull off that role or something similar)
WGTT (Tag team obviously)
Alex Riley (Up and comer/mid card guy)
Michelle McCool (Diva)

So basically you've got a team of social misfits versus what I guess in the states would be known as the 'jocks.' I think the jocks would have to be heels and play the arrogant bully roles compared to the misfits who can play up being held back because of who they are not because of how talented they are. It's a pretty generic story but one that I imagine a load of folk can relate to. Has potential for a bunch of underdog breaking through moments with the misfits finally getting the win after having been beat down for weeks previously.

The Kliq: Diesel, Razor Ramon, HBK, HHH, X-Pac, Road Dogg, Mr. Ass; Managed by Chyna.

The nWo meets DX in the funniest most badass faction in the history of the sport.

Devastation Inc: Sting (Crow), Ultimate Warrior, Hawk, Animal, Raven, Kane (Masked version), Abyss; Managed by Jake the Snake Roberts.

Power, mind games, sheer craziness all wrapped up and controlled by the sadistic mind of Jake Roberts.

The Redneck Wrecking Crew: Stone Cold Steve Austin, Beer Money, AJ Styles, Bradshaw, Skip Sheffield, Mickie James;Managed by Dusty Rhodes.

All night drinking and all night ass kickin'!

It's hard to pick only 7 guys, but if I had to pick, the 7 guys I would pick are:

1. Rey Mysterio- his speed, agility and can fly around the ring

2. Big Show- World's Largest Athlete, has a huge Knockout Punch

3. John Cena- Never Backs Down from a fight, no matter who the obstacle is or how many there are

4. HHH- The Game is unpredictable, you never know what he's gonna do next, and if there's a sledge hammer around, you better watch out

5. Edge- The Ultimate Opportunist comes out of no where and spears people when they least expect it.

6. Randy Orton- The Viper can strike at any moment, whether its a punt to the skull, DDT off the ropes, or the devastating RKO.

7. Undertaker- One of the greatest, if not the greatest wrestler in WWE History. 18-0 at Wrestlemania (Maybe 19-0 or 18-1 after this year). Has beaten some of the greatest wrestlers ever at Wrestlemania including Kevin "Diesel" Nash, Kane, and HBK twice.

Ultimately this 7 man team can beat you in many of ways... Speed, Strength and Unpredictability, and they are 7 of the favorites in WWE history.

As I said before it was hard to pick only 7, but some that were really close and hard to leave off are:

HBK- The showstopper has probabaly been the only guy to ever give Undertaker a run for his money at Wrestlemania, one of the greatest of all time, had some great career matches w/ Bret Hart, Ric Flair, Taker, against Triple H, and then of course who can forget DX

Kane- Now that Kane is "out of the Undertaker's Shadow" so to speak, He's even more Dimented then before. He will take on any challenge and, the challenger probabaly won't be moving afterwards. Very scary guy at times, but still a fan favorite.

Goldberg- Won over 100 some matches in a row (like 170 or something, anyone remember exactly?), facing everyone in WCW no matter who it was: Hogan, Sting, Nash, The Giant (Big Show's WCW name), and others. When he came to WWE he had an epic fight w/ Brock Lesnar. One of the greatest in WCW history.

The Rock, Stone Cold, and Bret Hart also just missed the list

i woud have a few teams
team high flyers- evan bourne, justin gabriel, rey misterio jr, sin carra, jack evans, john morrison, billy kidman. managed by jerry lynn

team ring of honor past and present- davey richards, brian danielson, cm punk, samoa joe, homicide, nigel, colt cabana managed by prince nana

team legend- ric flair, ricky steamboat, arn anderson, bret hart, ted dibiase, the road warriors manager j j dillion

team upstart- kaz, dolph ziggler, ted dibiase jr, kofi kingston, jay lethal, kyle o reiley, eddie edwards

these are teams that i think would be interesting

How about some members of the greatest faction ever the Horsemen!
Ric Flair, Tully Blanchard, Arn Anderson, then add the Road Warriors, Blackjack Mulligan and Terry Gordy! Honorable mention to Stone Cold, HBK, and Triple H. But any of these three would have to be the leader, and Flair is the ultimate leader. Manager would be Bobby the Brain with James Dillion as an adviser.

Team Mainstream: Sting, Vader, Hogan, Flair, Roadwarriors, Andre
vs.
My MidSouth Favorites: The King Jerry Lawler, Handsome Jimmy Valient, Sid Vicious, Fabulous Ones(Stan Lane & Steve Kern), The Tennessee Stud Robert Fuller, Hot Stuff Eddie Gilbert

My midsouth favorites may not beat the mainstreamers but if you knew them in their prime, this is even as it gets.

A few team combinations spring to mind...

The first would comprise of the following:

'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, Faarooq & Bradshaw (APA), 'Cowboy' James Storm & Robert Roode (Beer Money Inc), ODB.

Their MO is to purely 'Arrive. Raise Hell. Leave.' Austin would be the high profile leader, the APA and Beer Money Inc would provide the brawn, business sense (Roode & Bradshaw) and the beer. ODB would be the token female. Beer is the obvious connection with this faction and I can see the unimited potential for backstage segments.

The next team I would name 'The Forgotten' and would comprise of those tag team members who never quite made it anywhere near the level of their former partners:

Marty Jannetty, Rick Steiner, Jim Neidhart, Stevie Ray, Bart Gunn, Charlie Haas, Chris Harris.

These were the ones who sprung to mind. I'm sure there are other, more high profile names out there that would be worthy of a spot in this team, I just couldn't think of any at the time of writing.
