That's possibly the worst thing ever to happen. I mean... Ariel! Also, i thought Scotty had some actual wrestling talent, but obviously the E don't need him any more. With a new gimmick, he could have been OK, i thought.

Can't believe they fired Ariel seriously, can't see the reasoning behind it. She's hot, she is one of the main reasons anyone tunes in to that crappy ECW, so what shall we do with her? Fire her, you say? Good idea!

I'm in disbelief that they let Ariel go. The other two I'm not surprised about at all, but Ariel? What could be the reasoning behind this?

Obviously Steph needs to buy herself a new car and is freeing up all of the roster spots. Yes indeed, the official semi-annual WWE firesale is in progress.

Going with the typical WWE Trend, we'll see about 12 guys get their pink slips total over the next week. So this leaves us with 5 more to bite the dust, any bets on who that'll be.

So you take these guys out, add that to 1. Triple H, 2. Rey Misterio, 3. Booker T. 4. Kennedy, 5. Helms, 6. The Undertaker all being injured and that leaves you with a pretty shitty roster. I said it a month ago, if you follow WWE, you're going on a ride down the Highway to Hell. It's going to be a summer of Cena vs. Snitsky, Khali, Lashley at summerslam.

5 more to go. Sandman will be one and if i'm Val Venis, i'm worried.

For me these releases make sense from a standpoint that were not doing much like X said Ariel was like the only reason i gave a damn about ECW lol.

But Stephanie trying to make her mark but letting guys go so more new developmental talent can come up makes no sense. WWE has a real big issue with injuries right now and bringing in new talent right now is not the answer and what they do have is complete utter crap as they are not developed.

what gets me is that i thought guys like Scott and Conway would be trainers in a way but wow Val better hope he the one jobber who can keep his job. but damn anyone for a "Fire Steph" chants at shows now? lol

Scotty 2 hotty Im not surprised, I'm surpried that they kept him this long but Ariel? Shelly Martinez? are they ******ed? The women's division is already shit enough, but WWE just made it even Shittier by firing one of thier most talented superstars in Ariel, Why didn't they just move her to Raw, as she could have been a major asset to them.

Ariel and Melina both trained together in EWF and put on great matches, and they would have done so again, but that is not to be.

Let me guess, WWE is going to fire Trinity and Jillian Hall too, because WWE doens't see them as "talented" enough.

You'd be surprised what a decent debut could do for someone, Santa Marella was instantly more over than alot of the under used talent on the roster at the moment. If they can debut a few more people and give them a decent push... sure they wont fill the void left by the likes of Hunter, Taker and Rey but they will make the shows a little more exciting and watchable if rookies are getting decent pushes.

Why are people complaining about Scotty being released? The guy was a joke at best. His gimmick was stale in 2001, by this point its pathetic. I honestly think people just have to bitch and moan about the WWE because its the "cool" thing to do.

There are only two that I am shocked about in this list, Scotty 2 Hotty and Ariel. Ariel because she seemed to have the ability to keep going in WWE, Jake is going to be pissed at this but She can wrestle and it made Kevin Thorne's gimmick more interesting. I suppose Kevin Thorne is going to be going back to the Idies soon. This is probably part of their attempt to gain a more mainstream promoter for WWE products as the gimmick they were portraying is kinda occult. But Scotty was enhancement talent and made people look good in the ring.

No big surprises here, possibly with the exception of Ariel.

With all of the annual WWE purges of the rosters which has occurred over the last couple of years, I could never understand how Scotty had survived. He's been on borrowed time for at least 3-5 years, I guess his time was finally up. Welcome him to the mid-card of TNA.

Nicky, no big surprise, I expect to see all of the Spirit Squad released with the possible exception of Kenny, who I think is useless and should be released too.

I don't really watch ECW, so I don't know much about Ariel. Except the obvious.

If I'm Sandman, Balls Mahoney, Val Venis, and a few other guys, I'm definitely having a few sleepless nights.

And as far as RVD goes, let him go. No one is bigger than the company. They tried to re-sign him, unsuccessfully, if he wants to go, let him go. And let him go to TNA if he wants. Another big fish in a very little pond. Indirectly it's better for WWE to have RVD in TNA. He's doing nothing in WWE anyway. If he elevates the product in TNA and provides a little competition for WWE, it's all good. While he's has been a wasted talent in WWE, they've not been using him for some time now anyway, so he'll not be missed.

This is not Vince but his daughter Stephanie. This woman is a true moron for firing all these people. Ariel worked so good with Kevin Thorne and brought his gimmick together..Now with out her he is next and ECW is dead. Nick and S2H are fine, neither of them did anything and S2H should have been canned years ago, I am shocked he stayed this long. But Conway? He was a DAMN good wrestler, I saw him but on some great matches and while not a mainevener, he is a GREAT tag team wrestler and midcarder.

Sabu? He is good and ECW needed him as does RVD, but with steph she will can all the good wrestlers and bring in crap. I am looking to see Dan Rodimer to come in and bore us. WWE is not a sinking ship and I for one am sick of this. Maybe it's time to give TNA another chance.

WWE cut all of these guys who could have been good, if not great, to free up room for the Vikings reject, and then the deal fell through...anyone else notice the coincidence of the increased strength of Jericho rumors coming at the same time as these firings? Either that or like someone else said, SMH wants a new car..or maybe a huge contract for her boy Rodimer. Either way, ECW just became a lot less watchable, and so much for enhancement talent to make Batista, Cena and Khali look good.

I'll start with Sabu. We all know Stephanie despises everything that ECW stood for, l she's the main reason why Paul Heyman isn't on TV anymore. She is completly out of touch with the fan base, and has done everything in her power the last year to bury all of the ECW Originals. Sabu started no showing, so what. He didn't want to put over no talent hacks like Gene Snitsky, oh darn, what a horrible person.

Rob Conway. Again, another victim of the WWE Uncreative team. Here you have a guy with more in ring talent then, with the exception of HBK, the entire current main event scene on Raw combined. Much like the Dudleyz two years ago, and Cryme Tyme now, creative can't find another gimmick to ripoff, so they have nothing for him, so you're fired.

Vito: Hey I knowa super way of getting a guy over, how about we put him in a dress, that's sure to get everyone behind the guy. Good job creative, you worked wonders yet again.

Scott 2 Hotty: Hey Scotty, we're going to reward you with 9 years of loyalty by burying you on smackdown. You're going to be responsible for making are big dumb giants look good in the ring, because you know how to sell bumps real well. For your 9 years of loyalty and making big dumb morons look good, you're fired.

Ariel: Hmm, what does ECW need, Extreme Expose. Not only do we have the Millionaires club vs. the New Blood, but lets just take the Nitro girls and repackage them as the Extreme Expose. We'll take one girl that doesn't know the first thing about the business in Kelly Kelly, and another that won our worthless diva contest, and put them on stripper poles. That one girl, you know, the one that looks good and can actually tell a wristlock from a wristwatch, we'll fire her.

So Vince tells people a year ago that they are bringing ECW back, going to run the shows in smaller venues, and have more of an ECW style. Sabu is as old school as it gets in this business, and the fact of the matter is, Vince lied to the ECW Originals to get them into the door. Who wouldn't want to go back and relive what reguvenated the wrestling business. Vince couldn't stand the fact that his WWECW guys were getting booed out in the smaller venues, hence, he killed the project and packaged it with smackdown. So in a sense, he backed out of his deal. If i'm Sabu, and I have a legacy in ECW, I'm sure in the hell not going to lay on my back so Gene Snitsky can get over on me, so he can go back to raw and get fed to John Cena. We can go back and forth on the name sake of ECW all day, the fact is, Vince is using the name, so he deserves the hatred he gets from Original fans that simply refuse to except the spoonfed horseshit that he has turned that company into. If you want to use the name, then carry everythign that comes with.

Yes, that makes perfect sense, instead of actually having Wrestling on a supposed wrestling show with wrestlers, we get stuck with Rap 'N Rasslin nostalgic 80's horseshit. When was the last time WWE creative came up with a storyline that made you say, holy shit. I can think of one time in the last 3 years were i was genuinly surprised, and that was thanks to Dusty Rhodes putting the belt on Edge at NYR. Besides that, this is a creative slump. So instead of firing the people that couldn't write a children's story, we fire guys that actually can perform in the ring, and perform very well the shitty characters that a bad creative team creates. Don't fire the wrestler, fire the writer, then you might actually bring someone in that knows how to use the guys that are in there.

Without the fans, the business is shit. Ratings are at the mid 3's, that's horrible. Ad revenues are down, and pay per view buy rates are down big time. Hell the UFC last year had more buyrates last year with 4 less pay per views then the WWE did. This is why the the WWE is in a huge restructuring plan. The ppv's are tribrand now, in an attempt to garner interest in ppv shows that wouldn't pass for a monday night raw 10 years ago. Below average ratings for Raw means less ad revunue, and lower buy rates take away even more money from the WWE, so the WWE is in this desperation mode to fix a problem, that is still getting worse.

Funaki will go with the Cruisewieght division whichh is ta this point on life support. It was small enough as it is but with Helms injured, Chavo wanting out, Scotty released and that levaes what Sho and Jimmy Wang just release them already and go joing the x division and officaly retire that title

I personally believe that every ECW Original was screwed as soon as they signed a contract. They should've known man. This sucks balls. I think that the WWE has officially decided that they're going to pull the plug on ECW because it won't be worth watching w/o Ariel. That's probably why they released Sabu too. And an upcoming RVD and Sandman release. It's all to finally pull it off TV. Hopefully.
