2017 Royal Rumble: Who The Hell Knows?

Guys.

Guys.

Guys.

For real, where the fuck was Seth Rollins? Like, just run in and pedigree a few dudes until security grabs him. Something.

Match itself was OK, just got back from watching it with a couple of friends. Randy winning was a pretty big surprise, and I don't exactly know where in the main event he can really slot in.

I was watching. Had buddies over for it and it would be crass to be on this thread all night.

My thoughts:

I'm completely and totally over Charlotte. She needs to lose at Mania.

Owens/Reigns was fun. Probably my favorite match of the night. It's cool that Owens won and Orton won the Rumble. It leaves a bunch of different options for Owens at Mania, will be interesting to see where they go with it.

I still don't give a flying fuck about cruiserweights.

Cena/Styles was a great match. Surprisingly little fanfare was made about reign #16, and IMO, that's good. #17 is the one that really matters anyways.

The Rumble itself was meh. No real surprise entrants, and the match itself was really slow at times. I was sure Jericho was winning through most of the match because he was just chillin'. Harper turning on Wyatt was odd, but I'm almost positive that the whole deal will end up as the OG Wyatt's down the road after Bray and Randy. Lesnar is totally going to kill Goldberg at Mania, and I'm okay with that. It'll be short and violent. Roman at #30 and more or less clearing the ring and sending Taker out wasn't very smart booking, unless, of course, the heel turn is actually happening. Orton winning is okay with me, because it wasn't all that predictable.

All in all, I feel I got my ten bucks worth tonight, and I guess that's all that really matters, right?

Anybody knows what is going on with Balor and Joe? I take it that Balor maybe isnt medically cleared so they save him for later, but at least expected Joe.

How many Rumble matches are actually exciting once you've reached the earlier of seeing five of them or attaining age 25?

That was a pretty good one. Slow in the beginning but picked up once Stroman arrived and had some decent spots to carry it through. The surprise winner was kind of cool as well.

Although it would have made total sense for Strowman to come back to help Wyatt and Orton and continue his blossoming feud with Reigns then have Rollins make a save only to be stopped by HHH.

But still, really fun show and pretty entertaining Rumble.

I don't get the crying about Reigns. He lost TWICE tonight. The guy could literally jump from two Hell in a Cell cages, stacked one on top of the other, through 20 tables and fans could never even consider allowing themselves to cheer him. It's beyond irritating, especially when he's not even winning.

Because there was no need to have him in at number 30. He didn't need to be in the Rumble tonight especially after his history in the Rumble. Of course he was going to get booed when it looked like he was going to win it.

There's definitely a reason. He's one of the most popular young(er) guys they have, despite smarks being loudly opposed to his very existence. That's the reason, and it was the right choice. Who else could it be? There were no surprise entrants to use and they had to set up Reigns vs. Taker.

Don't say he shouldn't have been there when you actually mean you just didn't want him there.

Taker needs a new hip, so that would be why.

Do you know him from somewhere to call him 'Taker? Have you gone to school with him? The blatant disrespect. It's Mr. Undertaker for you.

But yeah, that hip thing made him fat and overall look more like shit. Seriously, Undertaker's face and dyed hair made me appreciate my dick more. Not that wrinkled, has a natural pubic hair color and looks less fragile than him.
