2017 Royal Rumble: Who The Hell Knows?

Pretty garbage lineup this year. No Joe, no Finn, no Shinsuke. Other than Dillinger, nothing was a surprise. Jericho laid on the fucking outside for a half an hour.

The way they sold the leg injury last night, I would not have expected Nakamura at all.

It's definately not Cena vs Orton.. But I could see Cena-Orton-Styles..

AJ eliminating Cena in the chamber and closing the chapter at WM maybe? So that we get Wyatt vs Orton?

For some reason not going for Taker vs Cena fucks up the rest of the card..

The big three happened to draw close numbers. That's dumb and they could've done the whole Lesnar/Goldberg crap in the middle. Undertaker looked like shit. We'll have a forced Bray Wyatt WWE Championship run. No Samoa Joe. No Finn Bálor. Roman Reigns, for some reason, was the runner up.

I don't mind Randy Orton winning, in fact I'm happy for it. Watching him go against Bray Wyatt though... not my cup of tea. Wouldn't mind a showdown against John Cena at the Biggest Stage. There's a match that has always needed the big spotlight, but the truth is, nobody cares anymore about it unless they can somehow add a career stipulation.

Well, that's that.

Goldberg vs. Lesnar III will probably be worse than I.

Roman Reigns vs. The Undertaker could be a good match. I like the "that's my yard now" vibe and it truly is a clash of eras and the dynamic could be nice. Undertaker did look awful.

John Cena will lose the tie-breaking championship in less than a month and be put in a 7 week program with Samoa Joe, that will eventually lead to two more matches and a 2-1 for Cena.

AJ Styles will fight Shane McMahon, which to me is an insult to the work the guy has given. Add The Miz, who will be forgotten after a stellar and revival year of his career.

Seriously, I'm bummed. I'm glad they will have a Chris Jericho v. Kevin Owens feud for the Universal Title. I guess that's that. Let's see how they turn me around and give me goosebumps for WrestleMania.

As far as this PPV goes solo, it was one of the best in a long, long time. Kudos. Loved the Corbin/Strowman sequence. LOVED IT.

The worst part is that the Rumble is literally turning the one show that tries to make Reigns happen. That's his forth Rumble where he's been near the end and the only time people cheered for him was because he wasn't Batista.

I like Randy Orton, like a lot more than most people here do, but that finish was pretty underwhelming.

Seriously I don't get what they're trying to accomplish with Reigns - they set up the hose fight with Strowman and then have him more or less act like a colossal asshole, coming in at 30 when everyone is expecting a surprise they like and have him throw out Undertaker to set up that match. So unless the goal is to turn him, why have him go after probably the most beloved guy in the company's history?

I did however enjoy most of the midcard action - Corbin eliminating Strowman works for me, as does Tye @ 10 and even having Goldberg squash Lesnar again. All of that worked.

I died out laughing when Roman Reigns came out at #30. Could we have gotten at least one surprise entrant? No Angle, Balor, Nakamura, Joe, Rollins, or HHH? I actually started liking Reigns for the last couple of months. But of course WWE screws that up. He will continue to be the most hated wrestler in the company.

Goldberg, Lesnar, and Taker were very disappointing. I expected a lot more.

Of all the people to eliminate Strowman, they go with Corbin? On the plus side, I'm becoming a huge fan of Strowman.

Cena got his 16th world title, and I was fine with that. Styles' run had to eventually end, and he is still a huge star. But then Orton wins? To set up Orton vs. Cena again...? Maybe Wyatt wins the Chamber to set up Orton vs. Wyatt? But would Cena's record-breaking reign really last less than a month? And honestly Orton is a little disappointing.

Loved the show, two complaints though.

The first and my biggest, AJ dropping the title here made no sense assuming they're going with AJ/Shane. AJ was mad at Shane for putting the WWE Championship up for grabs in the Chamber, but now, if he wants to get the title back he NEEDS the Chamber. It would've made much more sense for him to drop it in the Chamber and then he could blame Shane for not going to Mania as Champion.

The second is, from a storyline standpoint I think it would've made far more sense for Wyatt to win the Rumble and then Orton wins the title in the Chamber. It looks like I'm gonna get the end result I wanted in the end anyway though so I can't complain too much.

The funniest part: Seth Rollins genuinely never turned up. Not all night.

Remember when Vince fired Stone Cold and the next week they just had a nice show with no interruptions?

Jesus.

I feel like someone's laid out all the ingredients for a Michelin star meal, heated the oil in the pan, washed their hands in the basin, sharpened their knives... and then a toddler has smashed his Roman Reigns action figure into the tomatoes.

No way are they this fucking dense.
