May the best man win.

If I get another thread about TNA that isn't related to Austin Aries, I'm gonna rip someone's head off.

Well, I promised that it was going to be judged by the end of the night so it looks like I kept my promise.

D-Man, I really do have to compliment you so far on all of this. As you know, I wasn't too sure of the way it was going to be ran this year at first but let me tell you, so far everything has been smooth. So I do want to say thank you because as a judge I don't feel overwhelm at all or like this is too much and I think that's very important as well. Looking back now, I can see why there were issues with getting the debates judged on time when TM was running it since there were a ton more debates.

My pleasure, sir.

I wanted to change the format for SO long, knowing it needed it desperately. I'm just glad that we're off to such a great start. But it's not over yet... let's keep the momentum going!

Updated tournament brackets will not be updated again until Monday... sorry guys.

(I forgot to send the file to my home. I'll have to be at work on Monday in order to update them.)

BREAKING NEWS:

3/30/12 - Winner's bracket: Round #1 Recap

So, the first set of brackets of the first-ever Debater's League Double Elimination Tournament are in the history books. Rohan, nightmare, Killjoy, The Rattlesnake, Stormtrooper, Pancake, DirtyJose and Mitch have all advanced to the second round in the Winner's bracket. A great job by all of the winners... and well deserved.

Unfortunately, Aweome_Miz, Mr. Steve, hatehabsforever, Paralyzer Z, Milenko, CP Munk, deaandterry and Talon have been knocked down to the first round in thew Loser's bracket but they're not out yet! Remember, participants must lose twice before they are eliminated. Therefore, if they can shake off their first loss, they can still move into the championship to face the Winner's bracket finalist!

The way things are going to work from here are like this: The Winner's bracket will continue to evolve until a Winner's bracket finalist is determined. Meanwhile, losers will be sent down to their respective places in the Loser's bracket. Once the finalist of the Winner's bracket is determined, debates will begin in the Loser's brackets.

In the end, the finalist of the Loser's bracket faces the finalist of the Winner's bracket in the 2012 Debater's Tournament Championship. If the Winner's bracket finalist wins, he is the champion! (If the Winner's bracket champion loses the first debate, they will gain their first loss and a tie-breaking debate will occur. The winner of the tie-breaker will become champion.)

Looks like you are all going to pay the price of not taking me seriously. At least Killjoy will have a shoulder to cry on in the form of his mentor.

Sorry about the lack of links, boys. Hadn't realized we were going for that. Just for s&g, here's a peek up my skirt.

Bryan vs Punk on Smackdown = 1.7 (Wrestlenewz.com)

Smackdown 1.8 rating (Wrestlingnewsworld.com)

Anywho, best of luck to deaner going forward. You're a name I look out for in non-spam. It was a pleasure to cross swords with you.

Likewise, Mitch may be a sleeper hit to some of you, but I've known the guy is legit since back when I started here. I am again blessed that my opponent is worthy. That we shall do battle is an honor.

Whew! Finally, I have my laptop again. Expect greater efficiency from me now.

Killjoy vs Rattlesnake has the potential to be very good as well. Some stellar matches in this round..

25 minutes until this week's debates go up. This week's topic is...

TNA jumps to WWE

Is there any particular reason why the next round of the Loser's Bracket could not continue concurrently with round #2 of the Winner's Bracket?

As I understand it, nothing will happen in the Loser's Bracket until the Winner's Bracket has completed, which will seem to take about three weeks. Then, that winner has to wait several weeks for the other bracket to play out.

Round two of the lower bracket should happen now along with the upper bracket. The guys that lose are out and can be put out of their misery. Those that win will know their next opponent as round two of the upper bracket finishes up. It just seems to me that would move things along much more quickly.

I'm only waiting because I'm running the tournament the same way any double-elimination tournament would normally be run. However, you have a good point and it's one that I have thought about.

Regardless, whether the loser bracket starts right now or a few days from now, I agree that it should get going. So, how about we start it up this Wednesday?

If I could get a sound-off from all the participants in the loser's bracket, we can get this going. Thanks, hatehabsforever.

Wednesday is perfect. My WZCW RP will be done, I have two weeks off College, time to debate some bitches into the ground.

Definitely.

Really wanna prove myself after losing the first time... and I would assume everyone else is the same way!

I think it depends on the amount of debates there would be. I thought the amount we had to judge last week was perfect. I could do one or two everyday and still get them all judged before the deadline.
