The Cerebral Assassin
I guess this series ends most, if not all, debate on who the best player in the NBA really is.
Was anyone not actually ackowledging LBJ as the best player in the NBA? (serious question)

I guess this series ends most, if not all, debate on who the best player in the NBA really is.
Or some just have a different opinion on the matter.
It won't. LBJ haters will always find something to rip him on. I don't think they'll give him the credit he's due until he's won all 8 of those championships he said he would.
If I was talking about how the Heat won, your statement would make sense. But since I was referring to how much better James played than Durant, your statement doesn't really apply.Since this is a team accomplishment, not really.
The referees do a very good job. I know what it's like to referee, and while people love to point the finger at the two or three mistakes which happen, they ignore the fact referees get almost all calls correct. It's only with the benefit of replay that fans can even disagree with the referees. The officiating in the playoffs was no worse than it is in any regular NBA game. Basketball is a hard game to ref before you start having to make circumstantial exceptions based on entertainment.
Because Fisher didn't maintain his vertical plane. He leaned into LeBron, initiating the contact. To be a charge, you have to maintain your defensive position, and you're entitled to the vertical plane all the way up to the ceiling. If you alter that plane, however, it cannot be a charge. Why wasn't it a charge?
LeBron was going to go around Fisher, and Fisher leaned into him.He barreled into him and his shoulder went pretty much right square in the middle of Fisher's chest.
People mistakenly think the feet of the defender is the most important thing when it comes to taking a charge.
Like I said, I think it's because Fisher extended the arms which turned it into a flagrant. I'm not sure it should have been, but I'd guess that's why it was. That isn't the case. I would expect that to be called a block in the NBA but to take it to the step of making it flagrant was absurd.
Some of us can still strongly dislike his decisions and still say he's the best basketball player in the world.

He isn't there yet. And don't forget Kobe Bryant. There were many people who thought Durant was.
I understand that, my dad is one of those guys.
There were many people who thought Durant was.

I think it was more a case of them looking at anything which would keep them from having to recognize now great LeBron is.Those people must have just looked at his scoring then. He's not nearly the defender or distributor that Lebron is.
JGlass, I am your father.
We have a lot of ground to make up then. Let's start with, "the talk." You know, the one where you tell me why it's a bad idea to invest in a Mutual Fund in this market and why my money would be safer in a 401k.
Lebron was going to go around Fisher, and Fisher leaned into him.
I certainly do not believe that Lebron was going to go around Fisher based on anything I see in that replay.
Don't get sassy with me boy, you damn well better be maxing out your Roth IRA.
Who's Roth Ira?
