I totally believe Orton's tensions with Seth and the bosses should've been teased some more.
At the end of the day, Orton is being portrayed as nothing more than a goon for the Authority, and we all know someone else can be put in that position as the bosses please.

Throw away means it's worthless and isn't mentioned again. One off means it gives Rusev a rub and is mentioned again. Here's the thing: Rock landed some punches and knocked Rusev to the floor. He didn't knock him out cold or mock him. Rock praised Rusev as being big, strong and athletic but said his attitude was making people hate him. Rock didn't make fun of his physical abilities and make him look like a joke. He made Rusev look like a monster that only someone great can handle.

Reading your review (what happened) made it seem like Rusev didn't really benefit (outside of just being in the ring with The Rock). But, yeah, that makes sense.
