Worst WWE/Heavyweight Champions

Edge! Hands down!

The guy is a joke. He has goten everything because he screwed Lita. Matt was instramental in pushing Edge to be a maineventer. Sad that WWE can not see it is a waste of time to push Edge.

Edge sucks! Always has and always will!

Dude we don't really need a bitter Matt Hardy mark complaining about how much Edge sucks in every threat. When you get right down to it, Edge and Orton are the top heels on raw now because they're over as heels. They both have in ring skills and draw heet. And to say Edge got everything because he screwed Lita is silly. He was a tag champion, an intercontiental champion and the like before Lita ever came along. They gave him a heel turn, it got a big reaction and they had room for a high level heel so he seized an opporunity.

Rey should be fighting for a cruiserweight title or something, He's won the championship, good for him now its about time to lose it and pass it on to some of the bigger monsters as cold as it sounds

100 % True. Matt should have been pushed too, though. He is big with many fans and is preety cool.

A big reason why Matt Hardy has not been pushed are that his mic skills are subpar. He's got that thick Southern accent and comes off as mealy-mouthed when he tries to speak much of the time. He may be great in the ring, but that is what's holding him back. I'm not going to feel too sorry for him - he's hooking up with Ashley Massaro, so even if he remains a Velocity mainstay, it's still good to be Matt Hardy.

Okay, firstly I've gotta defend two guys who some have put under this category.
1) Chris Jericho. I MEAN COME ON!!!! I think it was only the first guy, but COME ON!!! Are you kidding! He was the complete package. I know its going far, but he was/is better than HHH. Far more charisma, attitude and has that exciting cruiserweight style while not looking completely overpowered for lack of size. He was about 230 pounds and that's about the size of Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit so you can't say he was too small. Y2J was the man! WWE should do all they can to try and get him back.
2) JBL. Everyone's saying his reign was a joke, but that was the idea that he was a lucky bastard champion who kept finding cheapskate ways to win. During GAB 2004 and WM21 we were all waiting for someone to knock him off and he kept holding on. Yeah he definitely wasn't a great wrestler but looking back you can see how entertaining his reign was (unlike Cena who as a FACE is getting people who are waiting for his long reigns to end). Also JBL's title reign has undoubtably made him one of the biggest heels in WWE, and he is definitely the #1 mic worker in the entire company bar none.

Worst Championship reigns
McMahon-Obvious reasons
Kane-24 hour reign=joke
Yokozuna-what was it, like a 15 minute reign
Edge-Although he's great, it was just a transitional strategy for Cena to get pops back
Cena-starting from Vengeance 2005 to NYR 2006. WWE creative just buried him by making him go over the likes of Christian, Jericho, Angle over & over
Diesel-year long reign I believe. Kevin Nash should not have gotten the title under any circumstances

there are others, but I can't think of them at the moment

Honourable mentions
Rey Mysterio-Yes, he's a great wrestler, but in real life how could he have a chance against guys twice his size. It's physically impossible.
Goldberg-Although I'm one of the few who actually like Goldberg, that title reign was only WWE's justification for signing him in the first place.

Magicians perform illusions not tricks. A trick is something a ****e does for money.

I'm a fan of JBL as well. Who knew that he was capable of rising to the top of the WWE? When he was Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw, and even when he was in APA, he was just an anonymous big guy - the JBL character really gave him a golden opportunity, and he took advantage. He's excellent on the mic and good enough in the ring - I didn't mind seeing him as Champ at all.

Why isnt the Great Khali Champion? If they wanted to convey a sense of realizm, make Khali or Lashley champion. They are obviously unstoppable.

I'm not going to count Kane's, because the truth is that he's never had a title reign. F Vince for that.

However, if we're talking about whose reign was the worst as champ then there are two winners.

HHH in 2003: Seriously, watching this guy come out and win every week the same way and squash the run of everyone who was becoming more popular made Raw extremely uninteresting. I'm not saying I haven't enjoyed some of his reigns, but this one was terrible.

Randy Orton in 2005: Randy Orton pretty much sucks, period. His title reign was pointless, lame, and proved that Orton cannot carry the company and should not be getting the push he is getting. How does a 25 YO average wrestler who is just coming off a suspension and is a gigantic prick in general beat Angle and Kane within 24 hours?

You have got to be freakin' kidding about Khali. So Rey doesn't deserve the title because he looks like a cruiserweight, so they should give it to the tallest guy in the company? He will be more criticized than Rey. Did you say he was unstoppable? A guy that gives a really weak chop and does all the moves that a boring ass big man does? Sure, unstoppable.. right.

I only agree with Lashley.

RVD and Rey Mysterio and Cenas was ruind because it was too long 4 months would have been OK but nearly a year was too long. Apart from Batistas as hes my favorite SD Wrestler.

Matt Hardy will never get anywhere because a) he's a tag team specialist and b) he sounds like a hillbilly and can't cut a promo to save his life.

Worst Reigns:

Rey Mysterio: everyone else said why for me (great job guys!)

RVD: Should not be champion. Is horrible on the mic, and his move set is boring now. you know what is coming all the time. Every one talks about Cena being boring, when RVD (along with rey) is really boring!

Kane: sucks that he was champion only for a day

Yokozuna: only about ten minutes!

VINCE McMahon: don't even need to explain

Psycho Sid: Horrible wrestler

ALL OF HULK HOGAN'S REIGNS- Extremely horrible wrestler and his whole "Hulkamaniac's and WHATCHA GONNA DO" bulls**t on the mic is really boring.

the worst champ for me was andre the giant cos he sold the belt to the million dollor man and that just totally degraded it

you guys are dont respect these guys and what they did for the buisness enough.
Rey- Awesome wrestler, good matches, hes over. HE sucks on the mic and thats why after all these years he will prolly only have this one title reign but im ok with that.
edge- had it 4 2 weeks true, but it was a fun two weeks and hell have it again.
Cena- i hate the man, but i got rly into wrrestling this past yr again after a yr of not watching it cause my intense hatred for cena made me wanna watch him lose the belt. thats a good champion to me even if he is supposed to be face, he brings in the crowd and everyone has a strong opinion bout him. good title reign, i still hate him.
RVD- come one guys, ur ust being rebelious by saying he sux. At One night stand, there hasnt been another wqrestler soooo cheered for since Hogan in his hay day. and the match he won the belt for, was a good ass match.
JBL- he had the belt for ten friggin months man, and he was hated with a passion and had all the old heel tricks under his sleeve every match. not a bad champ.

My worst champion in recent memories would haveta be... dude idk... i thought benoits reign sucked even tho i dont mind him in general. i didnt like eddies much either.

Worst-my vote is for SHAWN michaels comeback championship reign, i enjoyed seeing him comeback and then enjoiyed seeing him win. but i think everyone knew it wasnt gonna last long, and after a month he lost it and started the jericho feud. his reign just seemed useless...
and his pants sucked then lol.

Kane had one of the worst reigns....ONE DAY.

But, Vince McMahon basically killed the prestige of the WWE title with his "win." Ever since then, the title has been a joke to me. It may have history just like the IC and World Tag belts, but it's not the same anymore.

It's equivalent to Vince Russo and David Arquette winning the WCW title. What a joke.

Actually, not just because I am a fan, but I have to disagree with everyone about Rey being a bad champion. I think they haven't utilized him enough as champion. I think WWE is the reason it isn't going so great. He himself though everything a champion should be. Now, he can actually work a match. For anyone that hasn't seen his matches in ECW, Japan and mexico, you would see this guy can really go at it, and can hold matches that are 20-30 minutes in length easy. Look at his matches against Kurt Angle, RVD, Edge, even Triple H at the beginning of the Runble and tell me he isn't that good.

Now, I remember hearing rumors at last years wrestlmania where Rey beat Eddie that they had BIG plans for this years wrestlemania involving Rey. And there were also rumors in November before Eddie's death that the current plan was to have Batista drop the belt to Eddie, start a fued with Orton, have batista vs orton for wrestlemania, and then have Rey win the Royal Rumble and go on to fight Eddie for the title.

So, I kind of believe that rumor, because it makes sense. Take it for what its worth. I just don't think that it was only because of Eddie's death that he won.

Now, Worst Champion ever....I would have to say that would be (if you are counting the World Heavyweight's time before WWE then I would say Jeff Jarrett and David Arquette)

As far as just WWE records go...I gotta say Hogans last run was pretty pathetic.

finally!! someone steps up and says the truth about rey's title reign. hello.. wake up and smell the g**damn coffee!! he is, first of all, NOT a heavyweight.:banghead:
he doesn't deserve the championship. guys like taker should be fighting over the title, not little pretty boy rey with the "cool entrance music" and all.. sheeesh.. i'll bet even that cruiserweight prick kid kash can beat him. i have the utmost respect for eddie, but for Pete's sake dudes... vince should really think about the prestige of the world championship. not just selling the damn thing to the fans..

Hey, hey wait a mintue there. I can see where you might be coming from saying that it's strange that Rey has the world tile but, he's still a very very talented high-flying wrestler. Just watch old ECW or WCW matches that he had- their awsome. I doubt Kid Kash could beat him.

Cena, hes been champion for way too long. Rey, looses all hes non title matches.
