UWF: Mock Draft V

Barry Windham vs. Terry Funk
Falls Count Anywhere Match

Barry Windham is introduced first, welcomed with a chant of ‘you suck’. He provokes members of the audience on his way to the ring, threatening to climb over the safety rail to cause a fight between himself and a member of the audience. He soon brushes it off and makes his way to the ring. Funk comes out second, too busy to acknowledge the applaud from the audience with his sights set on Windham. Upon entering the ring, he charges for Windham, sending both men crashing over the top rope.

Funk furiously delivers blows to Windham on the outside. He’s tempted to hurt Windham, and hurt him bad. Nobody can blame him though, Windham has made Funk’s PWF tenure a living nightmare. After laying Windham out on the mat, Funk grabs a chair and wastes no time in throwing the chair to the face on Windham, sending a pool of blood gushing from his nose.

Foolishly, Funk wastes too much time to get back on the attack. Windham has now made it to his knees and delivers a painful blow to the crotch of Funk, letting out a very disgruntled groan. Windham now feeling that he’s clearly in control, he takes the time to berate the fans that have been heckling him from the start of the match. Just like Funk, he made the foolish mistake of giving his opponent too much time to recover. Once ha makes his way back over to Funk, he’s greeted with the right fist of Funk. Funk nails his with solid rights until Windham hits the floor. Funk manages to get a two count.

Back onto his feet, he goes for a table, setting it up on the outside. Pulling Windham up to his feet by the hair, Windham manages to grab the tights of Funk, bringing him down to his knees. Both men once again slug it out, Windham getting the better of Funk this time. Learning from his past mistake earlier in the match, Windham wastes no time in hurling Funk upon his shoulders and laying him down on the table. He beats the head of Funk a few times before making his way to the top rope. Windham takes his time getting atop the rope as he's evidently a little groggy from the beating he's taken from Funk. Just as it looks like Windham is going to jump off the top rope and down onto his opponent, Funk miraculously rolls off of the table and jumps atop the apron. Grabbing Windham by the neck, he throws him from the top rope, sending him crashing through the table.

Funk once again gets a very close three count. He spends a moment laying on the match to catch his breath before none other than Raven makes his way to ringside. He cheers Funk on before helping him to his feet. Just as it looks like Raven is about to beat down on Windham, he kicks Funk in the gut and delivers a skull-crushing Evenflow on the cold, hard concrete. With Funk unconscious, Windham gets the three count. The post-match celebration ensues when Windham and Raven rejoice on the ramp, hugging and giving the middle finger to the audience. Raven's going to have some serious explaining to do come next week on PWF.

Winner: Barry Windham

Brian Pillman vs. Ultimo Dragon
PWF Cruiserweight Championship Match

The opening match of the night is guaranteed to be a fast paced battle as Brian Pillman will be defending his Cruiserweight Championship against number one contender Ultimo Dragon. It should be noted that, unannounced, Tajiri has accompanied Ultimo Dragon to ringside. Pillman's arrival consists of a sea of boos, which seems to pump the Loose Cannon up even more.

Pillman takes control early on with a foray of chop blocks, sending Dragon to the mat. Dragon counters easily by striking Pillman's right knee, bring him down to the mat too. Dragon wastes no time in applying a Dragon Sleeper, but it doesn't last when Pillman makes it to the ropes with ease. Dragon makes it to his feet, grabs both of Pillman's legs, and proceeds to swing him around the ring, which he calls the "Dragon Swing".

Tajiri's evidently observing this match closely, raising lots of questions in the process. Has he allied himself with Dragon? Are they planning to get rid of Pillman? Will he backstab Dragon when he's most vulnerable? Hopefully, these would be answered come the conclusion of the match.

Pillman counters a powerbomb, hitting the DDT while in mid-air. He takes a few seconds to recuperate and regain his breath before heading to the top rope, hitting Dragon with a beautifully executed missile dropkick. A pin ensues, resulting in a close two count. Pillman decides it's time to focus on a body part and go to work on it, choosing Dragon's left leg.

After several ankle locks and Indian Deathlock attempts, Pillman remains unsuccessful at getting Dragon to top. Clearly Pillman's done his research before this match, exploiting Dragon's previous leg injury suffered in Japan years ago.

It's around this time that Tajiri seems to be getting a little uncomfortable on the outside. He paces around the ring, looking really tense, like he wants in on the action. Breaking point finally arrives when Tajiri enters the ring with a chair, hitting both Pillman and Dragon over the head. He walks around the ring, glaring at Pillman, waiting for him to make it to his feet. It looks like he's setting him up for a Buzzsaw Kick.

To the surprise of Tajiri, none other than Rhyno, unnoticed by the audience has made his way to ringside. He climbs in the ring, and before Tajiri gets a chance to blink, he's gored straight into the turnbuckle. The impact is tremendous, shaking the ring ropes and leaving Tajiri unconscious on the mat. Rhyno soon disposes of him, kicking the lifeless buzzsaw off the mat. Unfortunately for Dragon, he receives the same treatment though not to the devastating effect of Tajiri.

In a huge shocking turn of events, just when it seemed that Rhyno was going to gore Pillman, he stood in his tracks about half a meter away from him, and proceeded to hug the sweaty, out of breath Pillman. What the hell is this? It seems that Pillman and Rhyno have joined forces! What does this mean for the PWF locker-room?

Winner: No Contest (Pillman retains)

The Road Warriors vs. The Steiner Brothers
PWF Tag-Team Championship

Tonight, the two most acclaimed and popular tag-teams in professional wrestling will face off for the most prestigious non-singles titles in the business. This is the first time in ten years that these two teams will meet in the ring to answer the question on everyone’s mind – who is the greatest tag-team of all time? Well, the time is now.

Both teams enter to a warm reception. It’s clear from the get-go that both teams are fan favourites. In what can only be seen as a sign of respect, both teams shake hands before the bell sounds. Scott and Hawk lock up. It’s an obvious power game here as both men are pushing and shoving each other in what seems like a test of strength. Hawk takes the bait when Scott challenges him to do some press-up’s along with Scott. With Hawk on the mat, Scott applies a headlock, grinding his wrists into the cheeks of Hawk. Animal wants in on the action and hits Scott from behind, prompting both Animal and Hawk to hit him with a powerful double clothesline.

Hawk takes charge as he lands a few powerful shots to the face of Scott, followed up by a suplex for a two count. Scott is tackled into the turnbuckle with a powerful spear by Hawk, grinding Scott’s mid-section down with several shoulder thrusts. Hawk remains in control for several minutes until Scott finally manages to tag in his brother.

Rick wastes no time in landing some clotheslines on the Road Warriors, leading up to his trademark pose in the middle of the ring with his brother. Once the action picks up again, Rick takes control, hitting several belly to belly suplexes followed up with a headbutt for the two count. He makes his way to the top rope, looking to hit the Steiner Drop, though he falls short when Animal tugs like a madman at the ropes, prompting Rick to fall to the outside. Scott takes advantage and enters the ring and carries on the beatdown on Hawk. He’s successful in hitting several suplex variations, yet the pin is broken up. Once Hawk manages to reverse another suplex, he immediately tags back in to Animal.

Animal, full of adrenaline and the fans backing him, charges Scott with several shoulder blocks and a running powerslam. By now, Scott’s taken a beating and needs to tag in to his brother. Animal carries on the attack with a devastating powerbomb, though falls up short with a two count. After several minutes of trading blows, Scott is set up for the Doomsday Device, which is successful. Luckily for Scott, his foot was able to get the rope just in time, breaking up the count. An all-out brawl ensues with Rick taking on both the Road Warriors. He lays them both out with powerslams and calls for Scott to help set up for the Steiner DDT. With Animal on the shoulder of Rick and Scott about to apply the DDT, Hawk low-blows Rick, bring Animal back to his feet, leaving Scott in the middle of the two. Both Road Warriors beat down on him, once again hitting their finishing manoeuvre on him, but this time it’s too much and the ropes too far away. 1-2-3! The Road Warriors have become the new PWF Tag Team Champions!

Winners: The Road Warriors

Mr. Perfect vs. ???
PWF Intercontinental Championship

Mr. Perfect arrived to the ring with Bobby Heenan in tow, scanning the audience. He grabs a microphone from ringside and upon entering the ring, hands it over to Bobby Heenan. Heenan begins to rant and rave about how great Mr. Perfect is and how he is a true champion. Heenan starts rambling about how the new era of professional wrestling will begin tonight, and completely changes the subject. After a few more minutes of rambling and gaining himself and Perfect more heat with the crowd, he issues a challenge to a member of the audience. A man with a Sting mask on accepts the challenge, dressed in some tracksuit bottoms and a white vest. When he enters the ring, he immediately faces up to Perfect and whispers to the referee that he accepts the challenge.

Foolishly, Perfect shoves his masked opponent into the corner and walks away, thinking this is no more than a random fan in the audience trying to make a name for himself. Perfect is met with a kick to the back of his head, taking him down, his face hitting the mat face first. The masked man makes his way to the top rope, showing that he’s obviously more than just a fan, but a real athlete. He leaps high into the air, landing directly on top of Perfect, hitting a perfectly executed frog splash. In what is arguably the biggest upset in PWF history, Perfect gets pinned for the 1-2-3! We have a new PWF Intercontinental champion!

Once up the top of the ramp, the masked champion reveals himself as none other than Rob Van Dam! RVD is now officially a member, and champion of the PWF roster! How will Perfect react to this? Is this going to affect the promise from Heenan about a ‘new era of professional wrestling’ beginning tonight?

Winner: Rob Van Dam

Antonio Inoki vs. Sting

A battle between two of the biggest Icon’s in the business, these two men have never met in a one-on-one encounter in the ring. Inoki has stated his dislike for Sting when the only time both men fought on the same card, Inoki was in a dark match not even televised and Sting was the main event. He’s also stated that he respects Sting, but that isn’t going to stop him from pinning him in the centre of the ring for a three count.

Inoki comes out first. It seems that half the audience have no idea who he is or what he’s accomplished in the business, but what reaction he does receive, it’s obvious he isn’t the fan favourite. Sting follows shortly after, receiving a warm welcome. It's clear he's going to have the fans behind him tonight in what promises to be an epic counter between two legends in the business.

Both men meet in the centre of the ring. Both men are pretty even in size with each other, both men standing at 6'3, with Sting having 10lbs over Inoki. It's also a rare occurrence when somebody like Sting wrestlers somebody older than him - especially by 16 years. Both men stare each other down as the bell rings.

A lock up ensues with Sting gaining the advantage. He thrusts repeatedly at the right shoulder of Inoki, Sting showing that he’s done his homework on Inoki, trying to exploit a past injury. After throwing Inoki to the mat, he delivers several kicks to his right shoulder, resulting in Inoki rolling out of the ring to the outside. After recuperating, he rolls back into the ring and locks up with Sting again.

Antonio takes Sting down to the mat, locking in an Indian Deathlock. Sting manages to reverse it pretty easily, attempting to lock in the Scorpion Deathlock. Following his failed attempt, he once again works on the right shoulder and arm of Inoki. Sting locks in a shoulder claw while Inoki tries to wriggle his way out, managing to get a rope break. Its clear Inoki’s playing possum when he lays on the mat not moving, prompting Sting to walk over towards him. Inoki manages to grab Sting by the neck and throw him through the second rope. It looks like Sting took a nasty landing to the outside, grabbing his neck while he slowly makes it to his feet.

By now, Inoki had made his way to the outside, hitting Sting with a high-impact clothesline. Once both men are back in the ring, Inoki is still in control taking Sting down with multiple arm drags. He wears away at Sting with a front-face lock before moving into a hammerlock, soon increasing the pain by driving his knee into the back of Sting. Sting eventually manages to counter, squirming on the mat briefly before fighting his way onto one knee, soon powering to his feet and shrugging Inoki off with some sharp elbows to the gut.

Sting stays on the offensive as he slams a groggy Inoki into the turnbuckle numerous times before opening up on him with some furious chops. The tide once again turns when Inoki ducks a chop attack, delivering an onslaught of his own. He follows it up with a textbook bodyslam, giving him a close fall. With Sting still laying on the mat, he locks in his signature manoeuvre, the Manji-Gatame, also known as an Octopus stretch. It’s quite evident Inoki’s taking Sting to the limit as his face is now bright red with a look of agony on his face. Just when it seems all hope is lost, with the crowd 100% behind him, Sting barely manages to fight off Inoki, bringing both men to their feet. A series of fast right handers are delivered to Inoki. Inoki goes for a clothesline, which Sting counters, hitting a DDT for a two count. Sting drags Inoki to the turnbuckle, setting him up for a Stinger Splash. He hits the first one! And the second! But the third attempt comes up short as Inoki ducks the attack, rolling Sting up for a very close fall. Sting grabs at the legs of Inoki, bringing him back down to the mat. After seconds of struggling, he’s managed to lock in the Scorpion Deathlock! Inoki’s fighting it off with everything he can, but it isn’t enough. Miraculously, he makes it to the ropes, only for Sting to drag his lifeless carcass to the centre of the ring, once again locking in a Scorpion Deathlock. To give Inoki his credit, he manages to sustain the submission for a good minute or so, before finally giving in to the Stinger.

Winner: Sting

Bret Hart vs. ?? vs. ??
PWF World Heavyweight Championship

Still having no idea as to whom he’ll be facing tonight, Bret Hart makes his way to the ring, sporting his leather jacket, his eyes obscured by his trademark pink & black sunglasses. After giving them to an excited child at ringside, he enters the ring to a huge ovation. Understandably, he looks tense, still having no idea who either his opponents are. He looks under pressure. "What if they work together and my chances of regaining the title are split in half" was just one of the thoughts running through his head. He shrugged it off though, not letting the mystery behind his unnamed opponents get to him. Hell, he's the World Heavyweight champion.

There's a long silence. Now Bret looks agitated. The wait is nerve-racking. After what seems like an eternity, none other than Brock Lesnar's music hits the arena. 'The Next Big Thing' makes his way to the entrance ramp. He looks jacked. He looks pumped. He looks like a raving lunatic, waiting to pounce on the expressionless champion. Bret knows the deal here. This isn't going to be easy.

Once Lesnar makes his way to the ring, fireworks explode from the turnbuckles, the wrecking machine jumps atop the side of the ring, pulling and tugging at the ropes. Eye contact is made between the two, both staring each other down. Bret's faced big men before. He's beaten Goldberg on more than one occasion, a man who Lesnar wasn't able to defeat. It's time Bret thinks a strategy up, and quick. But he's immediately distracted at the sound of the third and final entrant's music.

The third and final entrant is no other than 'The Wrestling Machine' Kurt Angle. Hart looks bewildered. He's having to defend his world title against two of the best in the game, both being former champions with every company they've ever worked for. Lesnar doesn't seem too bothered at the sound of Angle's theme song. He shrugs and looks at Bret. Lesnar's the only man in this match who's faced both these men in the past, though to different extents. Immediately that gives him the advantage in that aspect.

Once all three men are in the ring, a staredown ensues as all three men are announced. Bret receives the loudest pop. Both Lesnar and Angle receive a mixture, though Lesnar is definitely the more liked of the two. Once the introductions are out of the way, all three men make their way to the centre of the ring. The bell sounds, and the match is underway.

Almost immediately, Lesnar grabs Angle by the neck and tosses him over the top rope. It seems that Lesnar wants Hart all for himself. The two men stand toe to toe, Lesnar towering over Hart. Hart delivers the first blow, having what seems to be no effect at all. He delivers three more before Lesnar throws one of his own, sending Bret crashing to the mat. Angle slides back into the ring and runs at Lesnar with a double leg takedown. Angle pummels Lesnar with several blows to the head. Lesnar's barely defending himself; these punches don't seem to be affecting him.

Lesnar shrugs Angle off of him. Angle makes it to his feet and is hit with a Bulldog from behind by Hart. Hart delivers a dropkick to Lesnar before he makes it to his feet, grounding him. With Lesnar on his back, Hart jumps on the back of Lesnar and locks in a Fujiwara armbar. Angle rushes over, locking in a ankle lock. What would happen if Lesnar was to tap? Both men have submissions locked in. However, it doesn't come to that, as Lesnar musters all his leg power, throwing Angle off of his leg and through the ropes to the mat. It doesn't take long for Lesnar to throw Hart off of him. This still wasn't enough to keep Lesnar on the ground.

It gets to a point where it seems that both Hart and Angle are working together to take down Lesnar. Of course, both men take full advantage of hitting the other one when their back is turned. It doesn't take long for Angle and Hart to collide in a battle of punches, which come to an end when Lesnar hits both with powerful clotheslines. He stands above both men, laughing. He makes the mistake of standing there too long. Angle grabs the ankle of Lesnar; bring him down to the mat. He applies another ankle lock. Hart locks in an ankle lock too on his other leg. This time, the strain is too much for Lesnar. His legs and ankles had been worked on throughout the whole match, and now came the time he couldn't take it anymore. Lesnar taps. The referee rings the bell. But who's the winner?

Both Angle and Hart think they've won the match. They raise their arms and stumble around the ring until they bump into each other. The referee stands between them. Confused, both men begin to push the referee about. It doesn't take long for Shane McMahon to make his way to ringside.

Shane McMahon: “This match has come to an end with an undecided winner. Both men had a submission applied when Brock tapped. Normally, I would have had you people wait until next week and have both Angle and Hart duke it out over the title. But in the interest of fairness, as of right now, this match is restarted. Ring the bell!"

With that said, the match is once again underway. With both Angle and Hart in a state of confusion, they are stood in the ring; to Lesnar they are lifeless bait which he needs to eat to become champion. He charges Angle, hitting him with a high impact clothesline, which would knock the ordinary man unconscious. Bret turns around and receives a kick to his gut. He's then thrown like a rag doll onto Lesnar's shoulders, and finds himself swinging through the air. F-5! Lesnar goes for the pin. 1...2...An ankle lock! Angle has locked Lesnar in an ankle lock! Lesnar looks like he's about to tap when Hart, barely making it to his feet, kicks Angle in the face. Bret takes this opportunity to lock Lesnar in a sharpshooter.

Lesnar looks like he's ready to tap. But not before Angle makes it to his feet. He grabs the hair of Hart and hits him with an Angle Slam. He gets a very close three count, but it isn't enough. He applies an ankle lock to Hart. Hart withstands the pain long enough to make it to the ropes. Angle climbs to his feet, turns round, and is greeted with a devastating belly to belly suplex by Lesnar. Lesnar crumples to the mat, his ankles giving way to his huge frame. Hart is the first of the three to make it to his feet, followed by Angle. They slug it out until Lesnar, back on his feet, charges both men. Angle ducks, yet Hart was thrown over the top rope. Angle, once again, hits an Angle Slam. Instead of going for the pin, he wastes no time in going for the ankles of Lesnar. It doesn't take long for Lesnar to tap, and Hart couldn't make it to the ring in time. Bret Hart has finally been dethroned. Kurt Angle is the new PWF Heavyweight Champion!

Winner: Kurt Angle

Yep.

I already said this in the other thread, but I'll post it again in here.

My internet access has been severely cut back due to unforseen circumstances, and I don't know if I'll be able to be here frequently for the next couple of weeks. I'm asking for a little leniency on getting my last show posted.

Should my show go up as planned, here s the intended card:

Also, in an attempt to end their rivalry for good, Trish Stratus and Mickie James will compete in match with a Hair-vs. Hair stipulation, meaning the loser will have her head SHAVED BALD.

Also, Mr. McMahon has signed Umaga vs. Batista at Final Chapter, as punishment for Batista's constant acts of insubordination.

Mr. McMahon has also decided that United States Champion John "Bradshaw" Layfield and Intercontinental Champion AJ Styles will face each other in a Title Unification Match.

Triple H, in an attempt to prove that he is still worthy of a World title shot, has issued an open challenge to anyone on the roster, for a match at Final Chapter. The challenge was alsmost immediately accepted by Bobby Lashley.

After walking out on Tomko at Collision, Christian Cage attempted to get back in his friend's good graces by securing the vacant tag team titles. However, Mr. McMahon decided that the titles will be awarded to the winners of a match at Final Chapter. Four teams, The Dudleys, MNM, The Coalition Christian and Tomko, and Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio, will compete in a Four-Way Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match.
