I'm Literally Just Here for WZCW
Intensity. Integrity. Intelligence.
These three I's are quite simply all that describes Kurt Angle of how great a wrestler this man is. There are not many men in this business, if any, that can be considered in Angle's echelon, the highest prestige ranking you can achieve in wrestling. How many amateur wrestlers can you name off the top of your head that can transition into professional wrestling and leave one of the best legacies there has been for a long time?
This man has been destined for greatness even before entering the circuit with the WWE, winning the gold medal in the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games for the freestyle wrestling category with a BROKEN FREAKIN' NECK. Hell, Angle even joined the Hall of Fame multiple times and won the World Championship prior to him becoming a spectacle in professional wrestling. Once he found his footing, this man won every championship he could possibly win in his time within the WWE, being the first ever Euro-continental champion in history. Same thing happened with his TNA reign as he held the Tag Team, X Division & World Titles with the company as well as the IWGP Third Belt Championship simultaneously. Kurt Angle has the resume.
Angle's diversity in the ring is downright scary. Naturally, the man is a pure technician and submission specialist. Many people have circum to the wrath of Angle's Ankle Lock, especially when the leg has been vised. Outside of his comfort zone, there is no weak spot in the game plan of Kurt as every aspect can be utilised to his advantage. He has the psychological understanding of out-wrestling AND out-doing his opponents using their own speciality. He can match chops with Ric Flair, create more impact than a Benoit German, soar more elegantly with the moonsault than Shawn Michaels. All men in this tournament, and yet Angle can mimic what they do, but better. Kurt Angle has the wrestling skills.
- Kurt Angle has been in every match known to man.
- Kurt Angle has some of the best charisma in the game.
- Kurt Angle losing cleanly is a rarity.
I could go on and on and on about the finer points of Kurt Angle, but there is a word limit for OP's. I'll keep it short and sweet by adding that he is the greatest wrestler in the world and is always booked strong. He has all the tools required to win the entire tournament and I will be pushing for him to become the 2010 winner.
